My youngest son works for Subaru, but his day off was today, and he came in the shop and laughed at me because the 2500HD I took in, had a 6" lift kit on it, and the hood was as high as the top of my head. Freaking tires came up to my waist. Yesterday I had a 2021 Lincoln MKX in because the park assist wasn't working. Every sensor had a circuit code. Told them this is wiring not sensors. Got under it and the big connector behind the bumper was completely disconnected. Plugged it back in, scanned it and tested it, all good. Crazy. Tomorrow it's a Trax that just got a new turbo installed at the dealer, and now has a misfire. o.0

As someone who deals with the bottom of the auction barrel on a daily basis, I WISH the issues were this simple. Auction vehicles are proof that there are some really lousy auto techs out there as well as some really shady ones. Nice find Mr. O! Love your channel, keep up the good work!
Not just the techs, we had a used car buyer that would remove the ABS fuse on certain models he was going to bid on (it was under hood and easy to get at on those ones) while he was ‘viewing’ the vehicle prior to the auction starting. The dealers got first look before the general public. This would put the warning light on, discourage other buyers and theoretically lower the bids when the car went under the hammer
@@RB-qq1ky from what I understand, buyers aren't allowed to touch the vehicles anymore, at least where my employer buys from. Probably from these kind of tactics.

Eric and Mrs O ty both for sharing a big part of your work and home life. Eric I’ve seen most of your videos with the T10 and I agree with you for what it has done so far it okay. Not silly at all! Having done the 'auction' thing as a buyer many years ago, I've seen some pretty creative ways of misrepresenting used vehicles. At least these characters did it the easy way!

It's not easy to find a 750mA test light in the retail world, most incandescent lights are about 75-150. I wonder if there is a source for really high current bulbs that fit into the OTC light probe. As you say, for an LED circuit it won't matter that there is a little upstream resistance added with the test light. People just have to remember that with high resistance loads, even medium current lights won't pull enough juice to glow when drawing current.
