A x brace on the frame with caltracks works awesome .. ask Billy Hoskinson how good his 2000 hp twin turbo s10 works .. he has ran a 5.30 on a unprepped street .. probably close to a 4 sec pass on a prepped track .
You should get the yellow stripe on the wheels painted in that gold too , and get a chin spoiler for the front that would loon sick. Love youre truck man. Greets from germany 🤙
Craig, I love watching your videos and really enjoy your F100!! Last year I bought a Perfect Fit Kit from Silver Sport Transmissions for my 1977 Camaro Type LT! I went with the T56 Magnum 6 Speed! It originally had a Turbo Hydromatic 350 3 speed Automatic… Now I can drive it on the highway! I also upgraded the shifter to their STX Shifter and I gotta say I don’t think there is a better package available! Love it! Thank you for the great videos!
I had to buy a small block killer tee because I blew up my 302. still ran on like 4-5 cylinders and got me home from an hour away at a max speed of 40 on interstate and 25-30 on the hilly backroads of western Iowa😂
Just picked up engine bolt kit from classic industries, had every bolt and nuts for my dodge . It's been hard to find parts and hardware for old cars and especially dodge. My car is one step closer to being back on the road .
A little trick for a visual to see if those nuts are loosening is to use a bright colored paint pen or nail polish and draw a line on the bolt and nut. If the 2 lines separate then the nut is loosening
Awsome video, just one question, I like a heavy clutch how is the pedal effort for the twin disc. I dont like a really easy clutch pedal like a 4 cylinder nissan sentra. Is it somewhat firm?
Man I love this exhaust set up, I’m gonna try replicating it on my gmc 5 speed with a 383. Unfortunately it’s not very high revving only about 6k. But I just hope it sounds half as good. Which it will
The beds have a set spot on the frames. The reason why they don't line up is because your cab is off. Loosen your cap and front core support bolts and shift to match the bed.
a mate of mine is an upholsterer by trade and helped me put new carpet in my 74 - he showed me to use an old soldering iron to do the same thing as the torch + screwdriver
About that “mapp” gas.. it isnt anymore.. more from Google.. MAPP gas was widely regarded as a safer and easier-to-use substitute for acetylene, but, early in 2008, its production was discontinued at the only remaining plant in North America that still manufactured it. However, there are many MAPP substitutes on the market, often labeled "MAPP" but containing mostly propylene with some propane and in some cases also dimethyl ether.[1] [2]
The fibers are basalt which comes from volcanic rock. It can be just as dusty as fiberglass wrap so I concur with Craig... lightly spray the rolls down when you install, your forearms will thank you later. 🤩
The header wrap smoking like that is normal. There is a ton of starch in there from the manufacturing process. Can't wait to go for a rip in that thing.
I don't run any gasket between the head and the header. Quit using them because it kept blowing them. If everything's smooth the machine, right she'll hold.😊
I don't know if it works the same with all header wraps. But I soak my wrap in water. Tied around tight. Paint it with header wrap, paint and seal it. Is less forever
The Craig 909 is a powerhouse now. Why? Because the content is notch, the rides rowdy and them boys got character. Keep up the awesome work folks!!!!
damn right buddy
Much appreciated!
I’m mainly a Chevy guy, SBC and BBC’s but man. This ford is on another level of cool. That motor is so amazing sounding.
Craig, it's summer! Your truck shouldn't be on jack stands lol
Hahahaha it’s not anymore don’t worry. But yes you’re right.
Is there a winter in Craigs area???
Man she sounds rowdy! So happy to see it coming together for you the way you want it, makes me happy and wanting to keep working on my truck.
I tried some copper header gaskets on my foxbody with a built 306 and they were solid AF gaskets. Those paper ones never last.
My neighbors would kill me. Sounds sick.
My Neighbors would cheer me on!!!!! Sounds Sick as Fuk!!!
Been watching your channel off and on since about '19. I'm not even a fan of most ford trucks, but I like this one.

Thank you! That’s awesome man!
Hey Craig where do you buy your exhaust kit from I would like to put a good exhaust on bumpside so it sounds good ?
Gotta love the sound of that motor
I had to buy a small block killer tee because I blew up my 302. still ran on like 4-5 cylinders and got me home from an hour away at a max speed of 40 on interstate and 25-30 on the hilly backroads of western Iowa😂
His F100 is a large inspiration for my plans with my ‘90 Ranger. I wish that I had the money for it lol
I've got a project for a 1st gen Ranger myself, but I need the Ranger first, lol. So don't beat yourself up too bad, you're a step ahead of me.

I have the heat shield lava wrap on my headers as well. So far I love the product. BUT… it smokes like CRAZY the first few heat cycles!!!
Super Sikk build! As an engineer why would you use that type of exhaust gasket , especially since you keep destroying them?
Man I love this exhaust set up, I’m gonna try replicating it on my gmc 5 speed with a 383. Unfortunately it’s not very high revving only about 6k. But I just hope it sounds half as good. Which it will

Damn that looks good. Need to do the headers on the fairlane. Not a lot of room though, i dread taking them out.
a mate of mine is an upholsterer by trade and helped me put new carpet in my 74 - he showed me to use an old soldering iron to do the same thing as the torch + screwdriver
Mine fit with the low hump but it was tight. I added the high hump later to make room for something I’m planning in the future.
Been watching forever, I remember old Craig doing a ghetto C notch with a piece of oil pipe 😂 Maybe partially why the bed doesn't line up correctly
Hey man that ghetto pipe is still working beautifully hahahaha.
Why not use a castle nut and safety wire inside the bed for the hockey puck bolts ? Love following the progress.
Sounds amazing and looks great. You Need to make a cover for the fuel tank.
So impressive that he can build this beauty while fronting Queens of the Stone Age.
What ever happen to the other truck frame with the crown vic swap stuff ?
Same place where the Galaxies went.
Fell into a roving black hole.
Like those missing dryer socks.
So, you expect thin sheet metal to stiffen your truck?
check out TMI carpet kits, it came out perfect for me and will cover your tank if you want it covered.
Your videos gave me so much inspiration i finally am getting my 79 dodge d100 back on the road after 6 long years of it sitting 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Man you need to take the truck to drag and drives now! Love the truck
Craig do you remember what headers you are running? Trying to find some long tubes that will work for my 302 when I crown vic swap it
They’re a set of flowtechs we cut and welded a V band onto and wrapped
@Thecraig909 thank you sir.
This truck is absolutely absurd and I love it 💪🏽 inspires me to get back to wrenching on my 79 F100 short bed 🫡
Please tell me what is the lyft and duration of your cam
Cone head lock nuts mate 👍 Some loctite too if it's necessary, doubt it.
Looking good 🎉 the best I’ve seen the f100 run . Well done
Craig do you have a link to the firewall cover?
Since those header wraps weren’t made of fiber glass did you still have to soak them before handling?
We spray lightly with a spray bottle. Just keeps the dust down.
The fibers are basalt which comes from volcanic rock. It can be just as dusty as fiberglass wrap so I concur with Craig... lightly spray the rolls down when you install, your forearms will thank you later. 🤩
Gold pinstripe to match the wing?
Did you get rid of the fox body front seats
Yup
" 4 or 5 years later, I hope I'm a little more skilled"... As he has someone ELSE cutting the hole for the shifter ...
This and Freighburgers muscle truck make the best noise!
Qweg 💪💪🤘
It really pays off to reach the goal you set out to achieve. Great video Craig
get some hex head nut caps to put on the inside of bed to give it a finished look?
The header wrap smoking like that is normal. There is a ton of starch in there from the manufacturing process. Can't wait to go for a rip in that thing.
Nice love the trucks 🏴☠️
great stuff thanks, the truck sounds so f-in good.
Idk how I ever missed the Foxbody shirts, damn. Freaking sick. Picked one up with a sticker just now lol
I love Dennis Carpenter Products, they are usually the only place you can get F100 parts
Favorite truck on the internet!
Such a sweet truck! Great work man!
I’m just glad you finally installed Remflex header gaskets lol
OMG YE$ 🎉🎉. Time for a TRACK DAY
Bro....so much more enjoyable with you not talking like you're on speed! Lol. Great video...
What engine is that?
Love the videos man keep up the good work.I miss the mullet
remflex gaskets da best!
Do you agree that I should leave a note for someone’s truck in the weeds? Or should I knock on their door????
Knock and ask first, if they don't answer the door then you leave a note.
Knock on door .. save all the old vehicles you can !!!
Both
after the dozens and dozens of videos i have watched over the years, I finally heard a full F bomb from Sir Craig 🤣. At least that I can remember
I love the idea of the bed bolts but hate the look… definitely could of been cleaned up with the same purpose
I think you should put a nice paint job on this truck
Awesome truck!😁👍👍
Loved when home boy said safety third. I say that all the time. If safety is first then you will not have any fun
But Qweg it's just patina in the bed corner!😂😂❤
Awesome! FORD
you CAN shine a turd!!!
lookin good, man 😎👍
Interior improvements look good. Now get some black on that steering column. 😂
Rad progress!
I don't run any gasket between the head and the header. Quit using them because it kept blowing them. If everything's smooth the machine, right she'll hold.😊
Street is neat but farms a charm! 😉
Never would I think I would hear bring me the horizon on Craig’s channel
i think it would be so cool to pant the outside blue with white racing strips
and aluminum bed cover pant it to
I don't know if it works the same with all header wraps. But I soak my wrap in water. Tied around tight. Paint it with header wrap, paint and seal it. Is less forever
Pretty damn spicy 🌶️ !!!
Hank Hill would like to have a word with you about that propane comment
Why not mount the gas tank under the truck
More room in the cab and no fumes
I don’t know, if you’ll respond but, would you ever in the future repaint the truck, white or another color?
Cwaig probably broke his fans, like everything else he breaks
Hell yeah!
Graduates college, writes amazing as an adverb lol. Sweet truck
Dayummmmm... she snappy
Long shifts..jus' sayin',I can imagine a short shifter ....
Your gonna blow that one up too you over Rev that motor way too much to hear your exhaust 😂😂
You need a Bronco to have the complete set.
Yes indeed Awesome
When is the galaxy coming back
The madman is out on the road with a new drive train and wide open keep your children and the wife pets inside
Remflex Gaskets
Hashtag bring the mullet back
God no, that was more like a shower curtain 🚿 than a mullet.
I think the "mullets are cool again" phase is over lol
@@katypurry8527 🤣😂
Read the title as swapped 5 Speed LS😭 but think thats wrong.. Phew!
NOW...if it only had a 4 link suspension and a crown Vic front end....😉
She sounds dialed in !!!!
How do you not get in trouble being in California with that loud truck
forgot lock washer...:)
Does anyone know what happened to the crown Vic swap frame he was going to do on the truck ?
I have asked same question. Would be an amazing swap about this point.....
He sold it.
Don't remove all the gold inside the engine bay, all that looks and matches with the headlights and the theme of the truck
