- Hey my lovelies, taking full inspiration from Jonna, my all time favourite You Tuber. I created this Northern Lights Resin Art piece.
In this video I show you the process of creating the Northern Lights in Resin, over 4 layers (I say 5 in video) but it is 4. lol .. Each layer poured or painted after around a 9 hour break in between.
I have always been fascinated by the Aurora Borealis and would LOVE to see them in real life. So if you just happen to have a cabin in the remote highlands of Scotland ..........Holla ! ha ha

Your piece is wonderful. I've never seen the northern lights. You could convince me that nearly anything was a rendering. I love the trees. I love the lights, the mountains ⛰, the whole thing. Brava!

I'm fairly sure you can see them from Keilder Forest.
Being in built-up areas spoils our views of the night sky, with all the lights we have, so you really need to go to the countryside to watch the skies at night!
Or have a really good telescope!

I did not leave a comment earlier cuz I was rushing over to see Sharon's as well. So cool. I have used puffy paint with resin as well. Made me giggle when you said you didnt know about using it. lol. Mind well and truly blown! This is so stunning. I've photographed aurora quite a few times from here in the UK now, but not for a while because the Sun has been at the minimum stage of its 11 year activity cycle. Things are picking up again now though so I am keeping my camera batteries are fully charged 😁

@@ClairesCraftyCorner I live in Oxfordshire! Since I moved here from Lancashire I've photographed aurora a dozen times. Only three times it was visible to the naked eye, but one night in June 2015 there was the most incredible display (I cried!)

Honestly when you first started with the green I wasn’t convinced it was gonna work but wow by the time you ‘Bob Ross-ed’ your trees it already started to look amazing!!!
