been trying to set my valves on my 16.5HP Briggs powerbuilt engine just like in the video.. after i set them i get one good start then same issue with lag crank.. any ideas?
I know that this is a late reply and don't know if you still have the engine. But more times than not, it'll be the compression release mechanism that has failed. You'll have to replace the camshaft. Just as long as there's no other internal damage.
Hello! What gauge on your feeler gauge was used?
go to B&S website and look up valve clearance for your engine model
were do I find a lock bolt I lost one

Hello. I am sorry to hear about your trouble. Unfortunately, I don't have any quick fix for you. Good luck with your work.
Maybe seat the valves ?

what does "top dead center" mean?
James Hubert Hello. The top dead centre is where the piston is on its top position. :)
