There are interesting places in Manila that one can self tour or sightsee. But having been on a tour with Venus, I can attest to her knowledge and ability to navigate around Manila and it's very enjoyable. Whether it's the day tour or night tour in Manila, she's informative and knows a lot, just wear comfortable shoes and bring small bills if you want to shop for bargains at the markets.

She’s a very good tour guide 💯 as a filipino, i am very happy to see a foreigner visits my country. That’s why some filipino say “hi” or approach you and have a small chat. Because we are very much happy and welcome you to our country. Filipinos are definitely very very friendly and chatty! Even our first language is not english, we can do conversational english. But yeah, its not a perfect english. But its fine, right? :)

Well now, that was definitely a slice of life video. Venus gives a real flavour of the daily life lived by a large part of the population. You were an attraction and even a cop wanted to pose so he could be in the foreigners video. Venus gives a stellar tour. Navigating the traffic is always a delicate mix of being bold enough to cross the road, but not too bold or you'll get run over. Knowing the difference is something that you have to learn, as pedestrians having the right of way is a foreign concept that doesn't exist. This was a great video.

Hi Alina, you appear to be really enjoying yourself in the Philippines, albeit, it appears very humid/sticky!
Just some interesting observations & facts regarding the Philippines & Filipino peoples, certainly that myself & many others have commented on & discussed.
The Filipino people are so friendly, so beautiful & sweet, both inside & out. There are approximately 50 to 51 varying ethnic groups within the Philippines, which i find so extraordinary! There's much beauty abound too, specifically within the Spanish Filipino community, but also other mixed ethnic or Indigenous Filipino ethnic groups. When i travelled there many years ago, i was struck by how beautiful some of the women were, so much so, that i even witnessed numerous Caucasian/European tourists staring @ the young ladies and even asking them on dates etc;. There are a few European male vloggers too, who've been there & have commented on how gorgeous some of the women were that they saw within shopping malls and within different venues, etc;, as they travelled across the country. There are countless Caucasian/European Westerners now married to Filipino women. Interestingly, the Faroese men have also married many Filipino women & there's even a famous documentary about this. The mixed Faroese/Filipino gene pool, is now well & truly entrenched within the Faroe Islands. They say the Asian women are beautiful & this is why they choose to marry them. There are also many German men & other European's who have married Filipino women too. Their children are all so adorable! Filipino people are very warm/polite/friendly/sociable & they seem to fit in well wherever they go, hence why i think it's so easy for men to meet and fall in love with the women of the Philippines. This video is really nice & showcases the amazing humans of the Philippines. The wee children are so adorable, curious and friendly too!
    Thanks for sharing & Peace.

My friend Stanley many years ago took me on a Tour of Divisoria Market. I remember it to be very busy and the locals being very friendly. You are spot on to tour with a guide who can help you
navigate the area and explain to you what you're looking at. A great tour that brings back pleasant memories. Sending you much love 🙏❤🙏 Harriet, Jim and Yuki. Richmond, Va.

Yeap, Makati is the business center with the Philippine Stock Exchange building. Pasay City has the Mall of Asia. Parañaque has the International airport and Taguig has the BGC, Manila City has Divisoria the main shopping mall of people at the lower bracket of Filipino enterprenours. Where products like food, cloths, shoes, school supplies, house hold items and other anything under the sun are cheap and easy on the pockets of ordinary Pinoys.😊😜🙂

@@uriahthehittite2309 yeah opinyon mo yan pero ang kasabihin natin "walang forever". "The only constant in the world is change". For better or worse everything changes. Wala tayong magagawa dyan. Tungkol dito sa lugar ng Divisoria, lokal na gobyerno dapat makiaalam o gumawa ng mga hakbang dyan. Wishful thinking nalang tayo kung ipagpipilit natin ang gusto nating gawin nating sarili.

Real gauge of how safe a woman can walk in the streets of Manila is by merely looking at your guide. That is the kind of wear that we'd advise as inappropriate because she can get cat-called or sexually harassed but no. You went in, went out safely. If they see a foreigner walking alone, as long as the foreigner is friendly, they'd be more safe than a local like your guide.

Alina, I liked the video in principle and seeing that side of Manila, but it was SO hard to understand what Venus was saying! She was talking fast, there was a lot of background noise, and most of the time you were actually filming behind her. So I missed about half of what she was trying to explain. For these kinds of situations, it would have been nice if you had a little wireless lavalier mic on her. They’re quite cheap now, good quality and extremely useful.

      subtitles can help

@@travelingtheworldonfingers9156 But that’s MUCH more postproduction work for the creator, and probably not possible for Alina who’s pumping out edited videos at a fast pace, especially with so MUCH dialogue.

Long before the Spanish came to this country and named Las Islas Filipinas, there were different kingdom in different Island of the archipelago. And the Kingdom of Tondo was one the formidable Kingdom. Chinese Trader was already in contact with the Kingdom hence Tondo and Binondo is situated to each other. And also when the Spanish establish Intramuros (the seat of the govt), they placed it near Tondo.
