I think the point of this episode was actually to show Ladybug not appreciating Chat Noir as he is, and then realizing that she misses him and that he is completely fine as he is. That his idea of the perfect Chat Noir is an idealization or, in her own words, "too perfect". I think your point throughout all the video was indeed the point that the episode was trying to portray.

The ladynoir fight /resolution happened in the finale and i hate that the kuro neko episode is framed like the resolution of the cat noir being neglectd arc, when it so clearly is not
I love the fact that we saw that Chat Noir/Adrien as capable or even more capable of being a superhero than Ladybug. I feel like before this episode, the show just put him as the "joker guy". But in this episode he was two steps ahead of her, showing the smart part of Adrien which is not often show when he's being regular Chat Noir because he's too busy enjoying the little freedom he has. As Plagg said, he's both Adrien and Chat Noir.
Personally I think either Adrian nor Cat noir are Adrian. His true self is somewhere in between. Ladybug is upset with Cat for not being a little more serious and always being reckless. Adrian is so stuffed in a box as himself that he goes a little too wild as Cat Noir. And ladybug is so over focused on being perfect as the guardian that she has lost herself too. I don't want the ship to sail till they both find their own selves apart.
It just doesn't make a clear picture of what it is, Ladybug is only in love in Adrien in terms of showing it, it already been 4 seasons, and still no development, if anything this kills more of Cat and ladybug. This episode made me understand Adrienette's fundamental issue: it's extremely shallow. Marinette only loves Adrien when he’s embodying the perfect and sophisticated image his father manufactured. Exactly! Marinette's role as Ladybug is a burden, a responsibility, a duty. She has enough trouble being a normal teenager, but on top of needing to be there every single time someone is akumatized/amoked PLUS being the Guardian??? It's taking away all her civilian freedom. Adrien is the complete opposite. His civilian lifestyle is packed with things he doesn't really want to do himself. It's all decided for him and he has little to no say because he was conditioned to be perfect. But Cat Noir is his only escape. Of course,Ladybug doesn't know his perosnal life so she assumes it's just as rough for him. When that isn't the case at all. Of course if they communicated this wouldn't be an issue. But then we'd have no drama so! My only issue is Adrien feeling like Ladybug left him out for calling on other heroes. It's not like he needs Ladybug to give him a miraculous? He always HAS his miraculous on him so honestly he should be the first one to the scene? She's never had to call him before I honestly don't know why that was even a plot point. I get feeling neglected but him not even bothering to show up made no sense to me
@@fantasan8540 Well I think for Adrien it is more the feeling of not being enough. Both are letting their other half of themselves be overwhelmed. For Cat that is his Adrien side (and feelings of inadequacy, thanks Gabriel) taking over. He doesn't feel good enough for Mari either as is evident in gamer. Mari is doing the same letting her LB side take over her normal life so everything is stress. Side note even when Mari does hand off Tikki ( Reflectdoll and Hack-San) she STILL is pivotal to defeating the Akuma.
Yess and i feel like this was the true point of the episode! It got LB's situation across to CN (i loved this). I wish LB got a similar realisation about her treatment of CN but disappointingly i don't think that was handled well

One thing that I understood during the show is that Ladybug can fall in love with anyone but Cat Noir and that's really sad. She has literally no romantic feelings for him and she even blushed in front of a guy who she didn't know properly 💀 The biggest reason I watch this show is to see their relationship development.

I actually thought that Ladybug was more likeable this episode! She didn’t say she wanted to replace Cat Noir bc she genuinely wanted to, but because she was afraid to repeat the same thing. A conversation would’ve fixed this, but Marinette with her over complicated plans 🥲 sigh. Still, it was clear that she felt incredibly guilty throughout the episode (I’m 99% sure her thinking the akuma was in the bell was a reference to Chat Blanc), she couldn’t function properly when he left and she told the kid that she had missed HER kitten, after all. She might’ve liked CatWalker, but NO ONE can replace Cat Noir, and she re-established this this episode and all of it helped Adrien figure out his true self and learn not to overreact (and maybe talk instead?) we’ll see!
No she wasn't. It's really sad. I'm pretty sure at the end chat apologises to ladybug for having doubts. he. apologises. to. her. BUT HE WAS RIGHT TO HAVE DOUBTS! BECAUSE SHE DID DO IT! She replaced him first chance she got! Not only that but she also fell in love with ‘‘another'' chat noir. Adrien had to recreate chat noir/ his personality just to please her... and it worked too, it created the marinette goes stupid effect. I can't stress whats wrong there enough

If you're going to reject someone dont reject them till they scar for life, that was horrible for adrien. If adrien did that to marinette she would cry on the spot, probably get akumatised. the interesting thing is that a lot of us knew this situation was coming, Ladybugs responsibilities have already shown to be to much to bare at times and can effect her relationships, meanwhile Cat Noir is struggling with all the new changes going on between them. As seen in recent episode, cat Noir had begin to either not show up to the fights until the end or was just to late in general, but his lack of absence is the result of Gabriel forcing more work on Adrien lately, leaving him to not properly show up to help the team when they need it, leaving ladybug to call on other members. After noticing he would begin to struggle showing up to help the team, we knew his repeated absence would eventually take its toll on ladybug, and this is what is happening now in kuro neko as she leads the entire team to save the day while seeing it as a way to leave cat noir to handle his business. Ladybug always said she wouldn't abandon cat noir, but by leaving his ring, cat noir had chosen to revoke his own status, and even if ladybug attempts to find cat noir to return him his ring and apologize, she cant, because she doesn't know who he is and Plagg cant tell her who he is as the kwami's are prevented from revealing the identities of their miraculous holders and ladybug alone has mentioned she cant know his identity, location or anything at all knowing hawkmoth will evidently use one of them to get to the other , just as she said in "Ephemeral". Based on what we analyzed and considering ladybugs response to find a new cat noir who isn't in love with her, we realized she really doesn't have any other choice but to find someone else after weighing her options, her duty as guardian will always take over her final judgement. In the end, everything which has transpired between them does not appear to be the result of her mistreating him or cat noir not feeling like he is not needed as her second in command, but the inevitable result of changes which neither one of them have come to terms with and learned to manage under control. It's just as they said to each other in season 4 episode 1, when ladybug asked cat noir what he thought about her new role as guardian, cat noir said he was good with it so long as it didn't change things between them , but change was always inevitable, neither one of them had a choice in it, because it was always going to happen and it was always going to effect them throughout the season, and now, we are seeing its breaking point. Things are far from resolved but this episode did present the opportunity cat noir needed to learn how to combine his two personas and be his true self, while ladybug in turn has come to terms with the fact that she cant have her idea of a perfect partner because he will never be cat noir, he is irreplaceable.

I loved that how they smashed the "true selves" fanon concept outta the water with this episode because Adrien is just as valid as Chat Noir & in Glaciator 2 he even confirms that Chat's an act. Really liked that parallel, great reaction anyway!

Marinette really do be falling for fake Adrian, The Adrian that pretends to be this perfect person because of his parents. Sure the nice part of him is real but it's so sad she still doesn't know the boy under the surface, no one does except Plague. Marinette is not ready for a romance with Adrian and with how she is now, I have no idea how she'll ever be, because whenever progress is made, she regresses. Her Adrian obsession has to stop and I want a friends to lovers story for them crazy how it's been 4 seasons and Adrian and Marinette aren't even really friends they're just schoolmates as it stands. Why couldn't they utilize their relationships with Luka and Kagami to help them grow? (like for Marinette to stop creeping on Adrian and Adrian to stop being so oblivious and give him more experience)
The funny thing is that the only thing preventing Adrien from combining his Adrien persona and cat noir persona is the fact that he can’t reveal his identity. In ephemeral, adrien was finally able to combine his two personalities, live happily and leave ladybug to realize she was always in love with his two sides, AFTER finally being given the chance to reveal his identity to her.
Qilin is actually pronounced as 'Chi-lin'. As of now, we're getting Psycomedian next, then Qilin, and then Penalteam. We don't have a date for the finale, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be last. Cat Noir's sadness has been building up since E13, but it seems odd as he was fine in Simpleman, Dearest Family and Ephemeral. This would honestly have been better of after Rocketear. Your superhero suit can change if you want it to. Remember Rena Furtive? It's the same sort of thing with Cat Walker.

I'm disappointed about how toxic this is for Adrien. The way it has been handled isn't healthy. Marinette is the guardian now. I understand that she is dealing with a lot it just shows to me that she's not capable of handling guardian duties while being lady bug. I just don't see why she can be mature with all the other characters except for Cat. She just doesn't treat him well.
Psycomedia is, imo, the best episode for Cat Noir. Its one of the few episodes that show him as a useful member of the team and not just the comic relief villain fodder.
I am still disgusted that we are already ending the season 4 and I still can’t see any character development from Marinette when she’s with Adrien. 7:00 actually it's not a new concept introduced! It's the same reason how Rena Rouge became Rena Furtive. And the same way how Ladybug's suit changes when she does her Lucky Charm now (but I wish it would just STAY that way all the time). It's also the same reason why people who use the same Miraculous can have a totally different costume with it compared to each other, depending on their personalities and desires.
This didn't destroy just ladynoir, this destroyed any sort of love these two could have ever had or well actually no. They will still be endgame and the fact that marinette only likes a figment of adrien when hes being the obedient son is gonna be brushed aside and theyre still gonna end up together but it wont be satisfying for us at all because of all the toxicity in their dynamic since glaciator 2.0 Sigh I really miss season 2 and 3 ladynoir

I think this episode really just shows Marinette has a type: Princely. At this point I just really don't want them to be together even though its 100% going to happen I just wish it wouldnt. Marinette is in love with, even obsessed with Adrien, and while Adrien and Chat Noir are the same person in reality, in her mind they are completely seperate. I like how in Empheral she took some time to come to terms with them being two different people, but idk right now it just would be so weird for them to be together. In this episode it seems like the writers wanted to demonstrate how she'll fall for him over and over but really to me it just showed how she can only ever love the idealized version of Adrien, at least right now. She puts him on a pedestal and sees him as completely perfect and at the moment can only love him when he fits that mold. For Adrien in Chat Blanc it bothered me so much how immediately he decided to confess his feelings to Marinette, he loved her for being Ladybug and not actually because he loved her. He could only see and be in love with one side of her. Ive seen people argue that he already was hoping that Mari was Ladybug because of how he didn't accept it when he thought Ladybug might be Chloe but I disagree. It was Chloe. Before any sort of character development. I think if it was just some random girl who was nice enough he would've accepted it fine. Sorry if this is long ive just been thinking about this ever since I saw those episodes and finally wanted to write it down.

I liked the episode but i was dissappinted by the ending.. like, Adrien got his heart broken, it was the perfect chance for his character development, he also got his new chat look, deleted the pics of ladybug and he was ready to change everything, but all his efforts dissappear by the end.. everything. Everything AGAIN goes back to normal like nothing ever happened. And he will just keep suffering because ladybug is not accepting his love over and over AGAIN? Unpopular opinion: LB hasn't called CN out to save Paris cos she is starting to have feelings for him deep down and she's trying to shut that down. Not seeing him = not needed to deal with those feelings. CN takes that as he is not special anymore. Not seeing LB makes him sad (plagg is so on point about LB hanging out with other cheeses and left the Camberbert out). There is NO reason for her to leave CN out of any fight. Unless she tries to call him a few times but he was busy doing stuff like photoshoots and interviews and cannot getaway. Seeing CW made her realise that she misses CN.... (I was screaming inside to say FINALLY!!!!) Hope she doesn't just fall in love with CW, and hope Adrien can maybe mingle a bit of CW in CN in the future now he has an idea of what LB wants.
This episode showed me that Marinette won't love Adrian when he's himself. She'll only like him as the person he hates and is forced to be. Adrian deserves better, Cat Noir deserves better. I get that LB is busy and stressed, but I'm over her creepy obsession with the poor boy. At least Cat Noir doesn't stalk her every move when she's on patrol. They either need to improve or this show is done. I swear.
About the change your personality change your suit, we can actually see it when two different people use the same miraculous. Like when alia used the ladybug miraculous. The suits change. I’m not sure how they are going to make Ladybug like Cat noir in this season if from what I’ve heard that the end of season 4 is the end of Shadow Moth so maybe they defeat Shadow Moth and not do a reveal till maybe the beginning of season 5? I don’t know but I’m on the same page as you I don’t really agree with the whole Ladybug only like one side of Adrien.
I think in Ephemeral when Sass shifted to the point where LB was going to ask CN, it was disturbed by the time malfunctions. And when they were finally moving down to earth, he asked "What was it u wanted to ask?" And LB said "Oh..Nothing important" And CN was dismal at that remark. Maybe as it stopped at that point, the question as to why LB summoned him will be left hanging. He was worried that she might be mad. And he saw there were several heroes with her. I think several similar incidents must hv happened next due to some of Adrien's schedules. His dad must be putting so much responsibility on him, as we saw early in Ephemeral. I don't think he 'missed' the fight on purpose. I think SM is Akumatizing people too fast with his magnified powers. Which is why LB is desperate and due to CN not showing up she might hv called others! And he got pissed off!
I don't think mari can think straight at this point. in this epsoide she was complately messed up. and new problems appear.when she had to do multiple things at the same time she does more problems.thats a huge paradox. and I don't think mariannette fell in love with chat walker not just because he is acting like adrien BUT he actually understands marianette. like you could see in the epsoide that chat walker helped ladybug a lot and ladybug just seemed suprised and blushed at the same time. she just needs to take a break and relax. but thats seems a little bit impossible since there is kwamis,hawkmoth,school,friends and of course love. we can see that she actually tried to destroy her own life to protect kwamis twice. first her friends (gang of secrets) and now her feeling of love (this epsoide and truth epsoide). I just feel sad for both of them but I think chat needs to understand it. (I don't think this justifies her to disrespect chat but she messing things up when there is multiple problems like I said. she was stressed a lot)
I'm not even mentioning her relationship with her family and friends. in truth epsoide she litteraly broke up with luka just because of her ladybug idenity and in gang of secrets epsoide she was so tired and tried to hide kwamis from her friends. she couldn't think anything so she just shout at them tried to destroy her friendship with them. yes she told alya in the end but I don't think her stress is gone at all also new one appears. in the next epsoide of gang of secrets we could see that she started to see nightmares of hawkmoth knowing her idenity just because of she told her secret to alya. not even mentioning her searches about new miraculous powers and helping master fu. I'm pretty sure if someone hugged or said its ok to her she would just cry directly.

I feel that the show has great ideas but lately it has failed to execute those ideas in a way that makes sense and that feels natural, like the writing is so contradictory for what they are trying to accomplish and it ends up feeling very akward and unsatisfactory in general
The moment Chat Noir won't repeat the mistakes he made in Sentibubbler and Penalteam, Ladybug will realize Cat Walker and Chat Noir probably are the same person (I think). And maybe she will start to recognize that maybe indeed she loves him. She will probably maybe even start to guessing herself how similar Chat Noir and Adrien act some times. You say this episode brought no development - are you blind?
This is what frustrates me about this. She can talk to the others bc she knows their identity and this secret identity deal is getting annoying now. If only she can comprehensive that there are personal things bothering him.
It’s sad that Marinette did not accept Chat Noir as he is. But when he changed his personality to suit her, she fell in love with him? The fact that she wouldn’t take him as he is is very off putting. Reminds me of the reveal episode when Chat noir said he was Adrien, and her response was to laugh at his face, saying he couldn’t possibly be the perfection that is Adrien. That moment was a huge red flag. Marinette is a walking red flag, and Adrien/Chat Noir, needs to run. Marinete has shown countless times, as both ladybug and herself, that she doesn’t appreciate Chat noir Or Adrien (both sides of him), for who he is, and her views are very superficial. She liked Adrien because he’s hot, a model and etc. She didn’t know him at all, but created this image of him being the perfect boy, no flaws no nothing. The only way she’d accept Chat Noir, is him being her perfect little Adrien (the inaccurate version of him she created). Adrien deserves someone who sees him, all of him, and Marinette, she doesn’t see him.
Controversial opinion: This episode proves that Marinette's love for Adrien is purely a celebrity crush/a crush on the idealised version of him. Ovbiously it develops further in season 5 but in seasons 1 through 4 her "love" for Adrien was extremely shallow. Like, she blushes and stutters around Adrien, then vehemently denies she'd ever love Chat Noir. Then the moment Cat Walker shows up, she's all blushy blushy again - because she onlt likes Adrien when he's perfect! She fantasises about the "perfect life" with Adrien and denies that he has any flaws. And while I agree that Adrien's "true self" is more a mix between him and CN, I still think Adrien is the part of himself that he himself hates - he's obedient, he's attractive, he's calm and serious etc. Whereas with CN he actually feels free. I can't imagine what it would feel like to know that the girl you love with your whole heart likes the caged version of you more. Sorry for the rant, I'm EXTREMELY passionate about this and I study psychology on the side so I'm even MORE stuck on this😫😫

I think the point of this episode was actually to show Ladybug not appreciating Chat Noir as he is, and then realizing that she misses him and that he is completely fine as he is. That his idea of the perfect Chat Noir is an idealization or, in her own words, "too perfect". I think your point throughout all the video was indeed the point that the episode was trying to portray.

The ladynoir fight /resolution happened in the finale and i hate that the kuro neko episode is framed like the resolution of the cat noir being neglectd arc, when it so clearly is not
I love the fact that we saw that Chat Noir/Adrien as capable or even more capable of being a superhero than Ladybug. I feel like before this episode, the show just put him as the "joker guy". But in this episode he was two steps ahead of her, showing the smart part of Adrien which is not often show when he's being regular Chat Noir because he's too busy enjoying the little freedom he has. As Plagg said, he's both Adrien and Chat Noir.
Personally I think either Adrian nor Cat noir are Adrian. His true self is somewhere in between. Ladybug is upset with Cat for not being a little more serious and always being reckless. Adrian is so stuffed in a box as himself that he goes a little too wild as Cat Noir. And ladybug is so over focused on being perfect as the guardian that she has lost herself too. I don't want the ship to sail till they both find their own selves apart.

This episode made me understand Adrienette's fundamental issue: it's extremely shallow. Marinette only loves Adrien when he’s embodying the perfect and sophisticated image his father manufactured. She tells cat noir she can’t be in love with him, but when cat walker comes in, she switches up. They desperately need development, I'm BEGGING you Thomas.

Exactly! Marinette's role as Ladybug is a burden, a responsibility, a duty. She has enough trouble being a normal teenager, but on top of needing to be there every single time someone is akumatized/amoked PLUS being the Guardian??? It's taking away all her civilian freedom.
Adrien is the complete opposite. His civilian lifestyle is packed with things he doesn't really want to do himself. It's all decided for him and he has little to no say because he was conditioned to be perfect. But Cat Noir is his only escape. Of course,Ladybug doesn't know his perosnal life so she assumes it's just as rough for him. When that isn't the case at all.
Of course if they communicated this wouldn't be an issue. But then we'd have no drama so!
My only issue is Adrien feeling like Ladybug left him out for calling on other heroes. It's not like he needs Ladybug to give him a miraculous? He always HAS his miraculous on him so honestly he should be the first one to the scene? She's never had to call him before I honestly don't know why that was even a plot point. @@fantasan8540 Well I think for Adrien it is more the feeling of not being enough. Both are letting their other half of themselves be overwhelmed. For Cat that is his Adrien side (and feelings of inadequacy, thanks Gabriel) taking over. He doesn't feel good enough for Mari either as is evident in gamer. Mari is doing the same letting her LB side take over her normal life so everything is stress.
Side note even when Mari does hand off Tikki ( Reflectdoll and Hack-San) she STILL is pivotal to defeating the Akuma.
Yess and i feel like this was the true point of the episode! It got LB's situation across to CN (i loved this). I wish LB got a similar realisation about her treatment of CN but disappointingly i don't think that was handled well

I actually thought that Ladybug was more likeable this episode! She didn’t say she wanted to replace Cat Noir bc she genuinely wanted to, but because she was afraid to repeat the same thing. A conversation would’ve fixed this, but Marinette with her over complicated plans 🥲 sigh. Still, it was clear that she felt incredibly guilty throughout the episode (I’m 99% sure her thinking the akuma was in the bell was a reference to Chat Blanc), she couldn’t function properly when he left and she told the kid that she had missed HER kitten, after all. She might’ve liked CatWalker, but NO ONE can replace Cat Noir, and she re-established this this episode and all of it helped Adrien figure out his true self and learn not to overreact (and maybe talk instead?) we’ll see!
No she wasn't. It's really sad. I'm pretty sure at the end chat apologises to ladybug for having doubts. he. apologises. to. her. BUT HE WAS RIGHT TO HAVE DOUBTS! BECAUSE SHE DID DO IT! Otherwise she would feel sad she has to choose a new chat noir, one thats not in love with her, and focus on the fact she wont see her friend ever again...

the interesting thing is that a lot of us knew this situation was coming, Ladybugs responsibilities have already shown to be to much to bare at times and can effect her relationships, meanwhile Cat Noir is struggling with all the new changes going on between them. As seen in recent episode, cat Noir had begin to either not show up to the fights until the end or was just to late in general, but his lack of absence is the result of Gabriel forcing more work on Adrien lately, leaving him to not properly show up to help the team when they need it, leaving ladybug to call on other members. After noticing he would begin to struggle showing up to help the team, we knew his repeated absence would eventually take its toll on ladybug, and this is what is happening now in kuro neko as she leads the entire team to save the day while seeing it as a way to leave cat noir to handle his business. Ladybug always said she wouldn't abandon cat noir, but by leaving his ring, cat noir had chosen to revoke his own status, and even if ladybug attempts to find cat noir to return him his ring and apologize, she cant, because she doesn't know who he is and Plagg cant tell her who he is as the kwami's are prevented from revealing the identities of their miraculous holders and ladybug alone has mentioned she cant know his identity, location or anything at all knowing hawkmoth will evidently use one of them to get to the other , just as she said in "Ephemeral". Based on what we analyzed and considering ladybugs response to find a new cat noir who isn't in love with her, we realized she really doesn't have any other choice but to find someone else after weighing her options, her duty as guardian will always take over her final judgement. In the end, everything which has transpired between them does not appear to be the result of her mistreating him or cat noir not feeling like he is not needed as her second in command, but the inevitable result of changes which neither one of them have come to terms with and learned to manage under control. It's just as they said to each other in season 4 episode 1, when ladybug asked cat noir what he thought about her new role as guardian, cat noir said he was good with it so long as it didn't change things between them , but change was always inevitable, neither one of them had a choice in it, because it was always going to happen and it was always going to effect them throughout the season, and now, we are seeing its breaking point. Things are far from resolved but this episode did present the opportunity cat noir needed to learn how to combine his two personas and be his true self, while ladybug in turn has come to terms with the fact that she cant have her idea of a perfect partner because he will never be cat noir, he is irreplaceable.

The funny thing is that the only thing preventing Adrien from combining his Adrien persona and cat noir persona is the fact that he can’t reveal his identity. In ephemeral, adrien was finally able to combine his two personalities, live happily and leave ladybug to realize she was always in love with his two sides, AFTER finally being given the chance to reveal his identity to her.

Cat Noir's sadness has been building up since E13, but it seems odd as he was fine in Simpleman, Dearest Family and Ephemeral. This would honestly have been better of after Rocketear.

I'm disappointed about how toxic this is for Adrien. The way it has been handled isn't healthy. Marinette is the guardian now. I understand that she is dealing with a lot it just shows to me that she's not capable of handling guardian duties while being lady bug. I just don't see why she can be mature with all the other characters except for Cat. She just doesn't treat him well.
Psycomedia is, imo, the best episode for Cat Noir. Its one of the few episodes that show him as a useful member of the team and not just the comic relief villain fodder.

7:00 actually it's not a new concept introduced! It's the same reason how Rena Rouge became Rena Furtive. And the same way how Ladybug's suit changes when she does her Lucky Charm now (but I wish it would just STAY that way all the time). In ephemeral it just ends off with cat being called by Ladybug for an 'emergency' (after cat didn't turn up to fight moolak, and he assumes its about her needing him to be there for her) just for her to discard him again, we left cat there so I'm assuming this is the next day and he's upset about that
A reveal has to happen by the end of season 5. Thomas said the reveal was already written, and season 5 has been written but no further yet. Also the way that ladybug first assumed the bell was the akumatized object because of cat blanc, my heart 😭💔

I think this episode really just shows Marinette has a type: Princely. Aka: LadyWalker my beloved lmao- but no I hope that she comes to see that there are more types than just princely out there and maybe Chat is more of a prince than she thought *coughs in the direction of Weredad even though that episode was supposed to say she didn't need a prince and that she could rescue herself*
At this point I just really don't want them to be together even though its 100% going to happen I just wish it wouldnt. Marinette is in love with, even obsessed with Adrien, and while Adrien and Chat Noir are the same person in reality, in her mind they are completely seperate. I like how in Empheral she took some time to come to terms with them being two different people, but idk right now it just would be so weird for them to be together. In this episode it seems like the writers wanted to demonstrate how she'll fall for him over and over but really to me it just showed how she can only ever love the idealized version of Adrien, at least right now. She puts him on a pedestal and sees him as completely perfect and at the moment can only love him when he fits that mold. For Adrien in Chat Blanc it bothered me so much how immediately he decided to confess his feelings to Marinette, he loved her for being Ladybug and not actually because he loved her. He could only see and be in love with one side of her. Ive seen people argue that he already was hoping that Mari was Ladybug because of how he didn't accept it when he thought Ladybug might be Chloe but I disagree. It was Chloe. Before any sort of character development. I think if it was just some random girl who was nice enough he would've accepted it fine.

Actually this episode had development,the scence where the kid was talking about missing his old cat is a Direct parallel to ladynoir,and even though chat walker was Essentially perfect ladybug still Wanted her own partner back,which shows how much she cares about him,screw nino,plagg is adriens best freind

I liked the episode but i was dissappinted by the ending.. like, Adrien got his heart broken, it was the perfect chance for his character development, he also got his new chat look, deleted the pics of ladybug and he was ready to change everything, but all his efforts dissappear by the end.. everything.
Everything AGAIN goes back to normal like nothing ever happened. And he will just keep suffering because ladybug is not accepting his love over and over AGAIN? Back to the usual, when are we going to see any progress anyway:
Unpopular opinion: LB hasn't called CN out to save Paris cos she is starting to have feelings for him deep down and she's trying to shut that down. Not seeing him = not needed to deal with those feelings. CN takes that as he is not special anymore. Not seeing LB makes him sad (plagg is so on point about LB hanging out with other cheeses and left the Camberbert out). There is NO reason for her to leave CN out of any fight. Unless she tries to call him a few times but he was busy doing stuff like photoshoots and interviews and cannot getaway. Seeing CW made her realise that she misses CN.... (I was screaming inside to say FINALLY!!!!) Hope she doesn't just fall in love with CW, and hope Adrien can maybe mingle a bit of CW in CN in the future now he has an idea of what LB wants.
This episode showed me that Marinette won't love Adrian when he's himself. She'll only like him as the person he hates and is forced to be. Adrian deserves better, Cat Noir deserves better. I get that LB is busy and stressed, but I'm over her creepy obsession with the poor boy.
At least Cat Noir doesn't stalk her every move when she's on patrol. They either need to improve or this show is done. I swear.

I know exactly how you feel. And i'm so happy that you noticed that love with catwalker. Because i wasn't so sure that other than me have realised that. That really break my heart because now she likes catwalker more than chat noir. And she probably thinks he's the better because she fall in love with him. And these season we didn't see anything romantic between Chat Noir and Ladybug. Ladybug is just avoiding him and i'm not sure about their relationship anymore. So i decided to not watch these episode the coming days. I need time to heаl. 😭 It's traumatized me

I’m not sure how they are going to make Ladybug like Cat noir in this season if from what I’ve heard that the end of season 4 is the end of Shadow Moth so maybe they defeat Shadow Moth and not do a reveal till maybe the beginning of season 5? I don’t know but I’m on the same page as you I don’t really agree with the whole Ladybug only like one side of Adrien.
I think in Ephemeral when Sass shifted to the point where LB was going to ask CN, it was disturbed by the time malfunctions. And when they were finally moving down to earth, he asked "What was it u wanted to ask?" And LB said "Oh..Nothing important" And CN was dismal at that remark.
Maybe as it stopped at that point, the question as to why LB summoned him will be left hanging. He was worried that she might be mad. And he saw there were several heroes with her. I think several similar incidents must hv happened next due to some of Adrien's schedules. His dad must be putting so much responsibility on him, as we saw early in Ephemeral. I don't think he 'missed' the fight on purpose. I think SM is Akumatizing people too fast with his magnified powers. Which is why LB is desperate and due to CN not showing up she might hv called others!
And he got pissed off!

I don't think mari can think straight at this point. in this epsoide she was complately messed up. and new problems appear.when she had to do multiple things at the same time she does more problems.thats a huge paradox. and I don't think mariannette fell in love with chat walker not just because he is acting like adrien BUT he actually understands marianette. like you could see in the epsoide that chat walker helped ladybug a lot and ladybug just seemed suprised and blushed at the same time. she just needs to take a break and relax. but thats seems a little bit impossible since there is kwamis,hawkmoth,school,friends and of course love. we can see that she actually tried to destroy her own life to protect kwamis twice. first her friends (gang of secrets) and now her feeling of love (this epsoide and truth epsoide). I just feel sad for both of them but I think chat needs to understand it. (I don't think this justifies her to disrespect chat but she messing things up when there is multiple problems like I said. she was stressed a lot)
I'm not even mentioning her relationship with her family and friends. in truth epsoide she litteraly broke up with luka just because of her ladybug idenity and in gang of secrets epsoide she was so tired and tried to hide kwamis from her friends. she couldn't think anything so she just shout at them tried to destroy her friendship with them. yes she told alya in the end but I don't think her stress is gone at all also new one appears. in the next epsoide of gang of secrets we could see that she started to see nightmares of hawkmoth knowing her idenity just because of she told her secret to alya. not even mentioning her searches about new miraculous powers and helping master fu. I'm pretty sure if someone hugged or said its ok to her she would just cry directly.
oh my god this show just getting more and more deep and I'm loving it.
and I forgot to mention that she litteraly said ''I don't have to worry about friends anymore since I don't have anymore..'' she litteraly said this with depressed and relaxed emotion in almost every dub.
also I JUST NOTICED when the ladybug looked at cat's neck ring. I'm pretty sure she remembered chat blanc...

I feel that the show has great ideas but lately it has failed to execute those ideas in a way that makes sense and that feels natural, like the writing is so contradictory for what they are trying to accomplish and it ends up feeling very akward and unsatisfactory in general
The moment Chat Noir won't repeat the mistakes he made in Sentibubbler and Penalteam, Ladybug will realize Cat Walker and Chat Noir probably are the same person (I think). And maybe she will start to recognize that maybe indeed she loves him. She will probably maybe even start to guessing herself how similar Chat Noir and Adrien act some times.

It’s sad that Marinette did not accept Chat Noir as he is. But when he changed his personality to suit her, she fell in love with him? The fact that she wouldn’t take him as he is is very off putting. Reminds me of the reveal episode when Chat noir said he was Adrien, and her response was to laugh at his face, saying he couldn’t possibly be the perfection that is Adrien. That moment was a huge red flag. Marinette is a walking red flag, and Adrien/Chat Noir, needs to run. Marinete has shown countless times, as both ladybug and herself, that she doesn’t appreciate Chat noir Or Adrien (both sides of him), for who he is, and her views are very superficial. She liked Adrien because he’s hot, a model and etc. She didn’t know him at all, but created this image of him being the perfect boy, no flaws no nothing. The only way she’d accept Chat Noir, is him being her perfect little Adrien (the inaccurate version of him she created). Adrien deserves someone who sees him, all of him, and Marinette, she doesn’t see him.

Controversial opinion: This episode proves that Marinette's love for Adrien is purely a celebrity crush/a crush on the idealised version of him. Ovbiously it develops further in season 5 but in seasons 1 through 4 her "love" for Adrien was extremely shallow. Like, she blushes and stutters around Adrien, then vehemently denies she'd ever love Chat Noir. Then the moment Cat Walker shows up, she's all blushy blushy again - because she onlt likes Adrien when he's perfect! She fantasises about the "perfect life" with Adrien and denies that he has any flaws. And while I agree that Adrien's "true self" is more a mix between him and CN, I still think Adrien is the part of himself that he himself hates - he's obedient, he's attractive, he's calm and serious etc. Whereas with CN he actually feels free. I can't imagine what it would feel like to know that the girl you love with your whole heart likes the caged version of you more.
Sorry for the rant, I'm EXTREMELY passionate about this and I study psychology on the side so I'm even MORE stuck on this😫😫
