    This is a huge step up from last months. Good timing on my part too because I just finished the first Plague Tale last month. I'm looking forward to trying out Heretics Fork now, that soundtrack slaps.

    Plague Tale Requiem is in my opinion a masterpiece, at least if you enjoy story driving games. The story, art direction, soundtrack and voice acting are top notch, its also a much better game than Innocence. Too bad the rest of the bundle is a big mew...

    Good to hear that our thoughts are roughly the same (except Heretic's Fork lol) even if our placements weren't quite the same. Yeah...this month just didn't do it for me for some reason though. Definitely get around to playing the first Plague Tale! It's a great game and not too long so it shouldn't take up too much of your time. Anyway, take it easy, brother! Hope you and your family enjoy the holiday weekend.

    I like that Starship Troopers took that approach on RTS, I am a fan of the genre ever since my cousin brought command and conquer 1 alongside other 30 titles burned on a pirate CD to my home in 1998, the ammount of hours I spent on AOE, Starcraft, Warcraft, Red Alert, would probably dwarf every other genre even if these past couple of decades I've played mostly those other genres.
    Anyways, with starcraft 2 and the whole pro scene most RTS became an overwhelming APM hellholes and that was never the main thing I liked about them
    I can get to gold or diamond ok on SC2 but I end up matches literally burned out of will to do anything else for the rest of the day, I don't like that feeling.
    Chill RTS focused on a campaign and with a focus on strategy over actions per minute seems like a godsend for me.

      @Kinglink  20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yeah, you got my main issues, something about the APM approach has always bothered me. I get it for competitive play, but at the end of the day, sometimes I just want to try out different things as I work my way through the story as well.

    Plague Tale: Requiem was $15 on Epic last year and Ghostrunner 2 was $7.19 on Steam just a couple months ago if you owned the first game. I bought Requiem but still claimed this month because Ghostrunner was worth it with a couple indies and I could resell the Requiem key. I also bought that Muv-Luv bundle because I heard it's the second highest rated visual novel behind Steins;Gate and it's apparently a really good deal compared to normal sale prices. Didn't end up buying anything in the Steam sale though.

    Great video
    I tried heretic fork, and also have that one more game feel for it.

    Zoeti also looked alright

    I was hoping that Sticky Business has some corrupt/ARG/analog horror elements to it. Start all innocent and cute, turn hellish and twisted as you get more corrupted orders. But nope, what we see is what we get apparently.
    Also When I saw Zoeti, it reminds me of Slay The Spire as well, But also Baltoro. Which is actually quite good and extremely addictive game.

      I want to play that version of Sticky Business. Kind of sounds like something that David Mullins would make. Alas it's not like that, sadly.

    Looks like a good bundle for me this month. Mostly. I'm certainly not comfortable with Early Access games making the cut, and it's a major red flag when a developer releases another game before finishing one. But everything else looks like my cup of tea one way or another. I very recently finished the first Figment, so I'll be glad to check out the sequel, and I've been itching for an old-school RTS for a while.

    20:00 - Muv-Luv's name is meaningless, and the series itself contains one of the best Sci-Fi/military story in the format. It covers topics like PTSD, homesickness, Cold War-era politics, and death. It tells a tale of what may happen if humanity was on the losing end of a galactic war. If you like reading and don't mind some anime tropes from the 2000s, Muv-Luv is definitely worth picking up. I only played the main games (Muv-Luv and Muv-Luv Alternative, the main entries in the series) and not the spinoffs, so your mileage may vary with the others.

    • @Kinglink
      @Kinglink  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I was more commenting on how Muv Luv felt to say, maybe I'm saying it wrong but eh..
      I'm probably going to end up picking it up myself too many people are praising it at the level you are, so I'm just curious enough to give it a shot.

    Sticky business was fun for several hours before i realized i could literally create a blob of garbage and people would buy it anyway. Kinda like Humble Bundles huh

    • @Kinglink
      @Kinglink  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      See, I started creating a blob of garbage and realizing it sold. Kind of ruined the illusion. I still put the effort into the other creations because I was on stream and showing it off to others, but I could imagine making a "Blue dot" "yellow dot" and "Pink dot" and getting the same results. Feels a bit disappointing in that way.

    Nice mix of games this month.
    I'm skipping it though. I played Requiem on game pass and while I enjoyed it I also remember almost nothing about the game relative to the first one. I also know Epic gave away the first one for free so in my mind that says they'll give away Requiem as well in a year or two..probably during Xmas week giveaway.
    Starship Troopers seems interesting but isn't enough to carry the bundle for me. The rest feel like games that wouldn't keep my attention that long.

  • @mount_tai

    I picked the bundle this month. I think my final ranking will be similar to yours except that I'll swap Ghostrunner 2 in Tier 2 along the rest. I had already played APT: Requiem on Gamepass last year, the game is stunning. Even better than Innocence.

    • @Kinglink
      @Kinglink  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's always been the problem with the rankings. if I was purely talking about "For me" I might even put it in Average, but then again there is a small part of me that doesn't want to let that game beat me. Who knows.

    So I could be wrong but I thought there were normally 10 games I’m only counting 8 did they cut 2 games or am I misremembering?
    As for the choice of games I’m not instantly sold I mean the two headliners are “”good”” games just not for me, the other 6 don’t stick out to me apart from the starship troopers one but I don’t know if this is the RTS or the FPS game (I think it’s the RTS but I also know there is 2 RTS troopers games and one of the was god awful) so I’ll need to do a bit of research to find out what the games are like and if it’s worth my money but at the min (at the start of your video) I’m leaning towards skipping a month again.
    The Plagues tale games just don’t hook me dispite liking more stealth games.

    • @TheOrian34
      @TheOrian34 20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It's been a while we went to 8 games yeah. In general that means only 1 maybe 2 games that aren't worth, but a more consistent choice compared to several steamers each time before.

    I think you may not have played Sticky Business enough to understand what type of game it is! It's not just about making stickers, there's actually a story that gets told through some of your returning customers that send you messages and update you on their lives. It's actually really nice and sweet. I do agree that if it was just about the stickers, it would make more sense to just design them yourself in a separate program. But this is a cozy game with some cute mini stories of the different customers. It's actually been my favorite game of the whole bundle. I definitely recommend it!

    One of the few times i say this month is a skip, and i've the question wtf is sticky business. Whos that kind of game for? I'ts not even a game. It's a badly made asset flip if even that. First grade programming project.
    Idk why its even in this bundle.
    Only game i might like would be zoeti but i've sts that is still my card game of choise.
    Plague tale is amazing however, so maaaybe the bundle could be worth it for that alone, if you don't already have it.

    I enjoyed a Plague Tale: Innocence but I think I'm gonna pass on this one. Maybe I'm more averse to grotesque violence as I get older, maybe it's a reaction to 5 years of DEI in video games, but seeing a young woman rip and tear through hordes of adult men makes my eyes roll a backflip through my skull. I have 2 daughters who love gaming, my wife plays, many of my Steam friends are women, and I think I have a large enough sample to say this - most chicks aren't interested in brutish power fantasies. I'll enjoy a strong female protag but the modern , "press X for girl to garote adult soldier with wire" strikes me as lame. This doesn't even seem like the worst offender but the pander-well done dried up. Give my daughters an opportunity to create fart stickers though, now we're talking. Figment and Heretic seem dope too. My play time drops to basically nothing in the middle of Summer but this month seems like a decent selection.

      so you're basically not going to give this game a try just because you dont want to play a woman killing men? the grotesque violence, I'd understand, but this....? but i guess you'd be fine playing a strong man killing men, women and zombies...?
