    Geezer, you say it doesn't look perfect, but you've made it look a million times better, and close up I can't see a single chip.
    Great work.
    I will give this a go on my very stone chipped Audi S3. Thanks a lot for the great video.

    I've been repairing road rash similar to this for 25 years, for the car dealerships, They can't send them to the body shop and spend thousands of dollars, but I can give them a decent repair and the customers are happy.

      So just using base coat, no clear or other additives and then compound and polish and call it a day?

    This is amazing. When I saw it first i thought oh he didnt just do that. Then i seen the car and was like hes either going to make a decent job of this or this is going to go so so wrong. First class job and costs pennys compared to full respray. Fair play mate. Job very well done. Massive difference.

    Nice job. How long does this tend to last without a clear coat? Is it something you need to repeat over time or is it a durable fix? Is it susceptible to damage when hand washing or jet washing?

    • @deanoh6414
      @deanoh6414 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Compound has bigger cutting "solids" in the paste. It will feel slighty gritty between the fingers. A polishing compound less so and less cut brings up the mirror shine more. For sake of ease (and making this reply short) Meguiars Ultimate COMPOUND followed by Ultimate POLISH.
      But to be honest there are many good compounds that start aggressively and then break down during the process to refine the polish so you can it with with just one compound. Sonax, Menzerna even TurtleWax have offerings. Google is your friend.

    If you apply too little paint, it will come off after the polishing; if you apply more paint to fill the chips then removing the excess paint is a mathafucka; dont try it with a drill.
    Just let the next owner deal with it...
