If the game of Skate was about style, there would be no contest with Luan. But unfortunately it is not. When Jamie starts that final combo, it is almost impossible to stay alive.
Luan can do all the tricks he missed other than the merlin, and he gave the game back to Jaime missing a BS Flip and Nollie Varial flip . He just missed some tricks and Jaime got the death blow. Luan's style, pop, speed are unrivaled, he's a far superior skater than Jaime and could've beaten him if he didn't give the game back on a couple easy (for him) tricks.
The level of jealousy im seeing because of Jamie is crazy like do you want batb to make more rules so he cant do certain tricks that other aren't able to land or something? It's not his fault he's that good.
those 180s and 360s from jamie are looking a lot better than last season. he's looking more well rounded. too bad there aren't more flatground competitions. would be cool to see SLS or someone put some money up with a proper ref squad a well rounded rule book with less gray area. i would love to see a season of berrics condensed into a single competition that is a couple days long with higher stakes and more production. like SLS for flatground

Wow! I though it was in the bag when Luan got to start.. he looked unstoppable... amazed jamie was able to pull it together, a well deserved win, but he definitely got extremely lucky for Luan to miss twice, i was expecting a blow out for a minute or two lol..... great game all around!
I don’t think until this day I’d seen a flat ground nollie back 180 that made me say “Wtf!”.
+BACKFOOT IMPOSSIBLE!
I thought Luan would slow down a bit by now. He literally used full power for that, for no reason lol
@@ER1CxFnah he knows it's intimidating lol, people been saying it for years. He could slow down and probably get a lot of the really bonkers tricks if he practiced them, but you can tell he just does what he likes to do for these and knows people enjoys it. But yeah his flat skating is intimidating af.
Luan is the kind of guy that will give you trick tips at the park for that trick you're struggling with. Great match, great guys.
He called me a tryhard kook for trying my first ollie:(
Nunca vi nada do tipo, ele é tipo o ronaldinho gaucho do skate, nunca vi nada tão plasticamente perfeito
E perdeu do griffin.
No one is beating Jamie anytime soon. He is about to go on a magical run like the New York Islanders did from 1979-1983.
Love both skaters. Great game, thanks!
Luan skates with authority. Every trick he does is textbook perfect.
He honestly makes Jamie look amateurish, regardless of the technical tricks he has.
This was amazing! I just didn't want it to end! Luan's style was off the charts (like always ofc) and Jamie's technique was sick. Wish they had been playing "SKATEBOARDERS" instead of SKATE! Also can't wait for JG to wreck that punk Peterson!
Said it since last season, Jamie Griffin is the man to beat! Think hes coming for that repeat!! Win or lose Luan is always a pleasure to watch skate, it's so funny how he makes all his opponents look like their skating slowly 😂 Great game tho! Jamie really won me over past few years seeing how hes not just a "Circus Performer" but has all the basic dialed and with SUCH great style! Excited to see him beat Tyler Peterson! Er I mean.... play Tyler Peterson!
Convinced jamie is essentially unbeatable at this point.
*Cody Cepeda enters the chat*
@@camilogonzalez1077 no chance.
I suppose it’s possible he could lose to someone in the world at SKATE occasionally. But SKATEBOARD or more…yeah I don’t think anyone could beat him.
Jamie said himself that when playing Johnny Giger, he only wins 1/10 games. Giger unfortunately lets the nerves get to him and Jamie doesn’t for BATB
@@pepperwestwoodhe has lost to Alex Decunha and Jeff Dechesare before
“No doing tricks that slide on the ground if your opponent popped his trick”
3:00 Jamie does a 270 switch 360 and slides the rest. That rule needs to actually be enforced
Both were kinda intimidated by each other cause both played kind of rusty, great game! But I think we all knew Jamie would take it.🔥❤️
Luan is intimidating as hell because of his pop, speed, stomp, and clean execution. Jamie is intimidating because of his insane tricks and his consistency at doing the really hard ones. Also, almost everyone’s style looks worse in a game against luan
Juan knew he was done after 4 letters. Jamie shows no mercy on his deathblow.
rusty? you're delusional
i will never understand, why the website from the berrics is so bad. no informations about the games, the finals night, no bracket whatever...strange.
Damn that was a good fight. You could see in jamie that he knew he had to do extremely complicated tricks to get a win here. But man its great to see luan's style of going hard and fast and just stomps the board.
Bruh? Insanely complicated? They were both just nervous tbh Luan has switch double heels on lock and he failed to double heel, no ways you’re going to say Jamie pulled out circus tricks.
There was no forward double flip, no impossible late flip, no flip late Casper let’s be real.
@Lupen_yt I don't know what scale you are on but to me at least even a double heelflip is insanely complicated and then a lazerflip and then his deathblow is just ridiculous.
@@kapten-awesome Hard tricks for sure, but he kept it respectful instead of pulling out the circus tricks.
@@Johnny_Zedbody varial and double heels and then that death blow and fs circus tricks
@@suc1ul236 Ok. What would you´ve done to win against Luan, then?
Loving that game ending merlin flip
The confidence Luan shows on his board is unmatched but you can tell Jaime did his homework. He did exactly what Luan wasn't expecting.
Actually he just did the same tricks he always does
@@BM-bf4nx didn’t say anything about him not being consistent. I was replying to the comment above. Maybe read next time.
@@seeeeeej yeah but those tricks aren't in everyone's bag or Luan would have won
@@paulblankenship1146correct, if Luan was facing a different opponent he would have won 🤣
Luan was exactly waiting for this
We all knew Jamie would come with the crazy tricks that no one else can land but him. Luan with the snapped and proper tricks
Damn... Luan is seriously on a different level of control but yeah Jamie's bag of difficult tricks is just way too big
Luans speed and pop is incredible. All his tricks look so good
Finalmente valio mucho la larga espera.
Luan é monstro, gente boa...abraço aqui de campo grande ms brasil
Jeez. Luan skating like he's possessed. So much power and pop. I wasn't expecting things to end the way they did. Good game 🍻
Luan came banging as us usual.
Jamie's switch tre his tail didn't even touch the ground... I am not sure why they never use the "pop" rule...
Chris Cole has ended 3 games with a 3 flip that has 0 pop and ppl praise him, stop crying. It's on defense and his foot didn't touch. He's done many of good switch tres
Crazy how most of the comments are about Luan's style then the match itself 😂 watching Luan skate is a Privilege he deserves his 💐
Luan is amazing. That fakie hardflip 180?? He doesn't care. It doesnt matter for him if he's about to try merlin twist for the first time in his life, he will do it with insane speed.
Luan is an art form. Skating is unreal.
Luan's skating is so intimidating, but doesnt seem to affect Jamie as he's just happy to be there and literally just having fun.
Jamie looks nervous
If the game of Skate was about style, there would be no contest with Luan. But unfortunately it is not. When Jamie starts that final combo, it is almost impossible to stay alive.
Luan can do all the tricks he missed other than the merlin, and he gave the game back to Jaime missing a BS Flip and Nollie Varial flip . He just missed some tricks and Jaime got the death blow. Luan's style, pop, speed are unrivaled, he's a far superior skater than Jaime and could've beaten him if he didn't give the game back on a couple easy (for him) tricks.
@@LukeSullivanSkopeLuan has a great style but sometimes his style makes him lose control
it's strong when everyone is discussing not Jimmy's victory, but Luan's loss
Craziest thing is that Jamie hasn't even pulled out half of his gnarliest tricks at these events.
I rate all skaters everyone is wicked but jamie griffin different level that boy is
Hell yess I’m counting on Jamie fuckin up tyler
That was sick! Thanks guys 💎
Luan almost had him but getting to see Griffin smoke Peterson again gonna be a treat lol
Maybe next year the berrics can do one tournament for normal skaters and one for garage wizards
Griffin does it so effortlessly, I can see another BATB in the bag. This is the beginning of a dynasty lol
DBC.. Daily Blessings Coming! .. Thank You ALL for Everything, Everyday!! .... LUAN THE BEST!.....
Yo!
Does anyone have any info how it will be possible to stream the finals?
Thx
At first glance did not expect Jamie to win that game Luan seems intimidating to play against from the speed and pop lol
yeah bro. i couldnt do it. i would just forfeit honestly lol
🔥 such a perfect match up! Was fun to watch
The level of jealousy im seeing because of Jamie is crazy like do you want batb to make more rules so he cant do certain tricks that other aren't able to land or something? It's not his fault he's that good.
Thx for this battle 🙏🏻
those 180s and 360s from jamie are looking a lot better than last season. he's looking more well rounded. too bad there aren't more flatground competitions. would be cool to see SLS or someone put some money up with a proper ref squad a well rounded rule book with less gray area. i would love to see a season of berrics condensed into a single competition that is a couple days long with higher stakes and more production. like SLS for flatground
Luans skateboarding is poetry in motion
Opa mano. Cara, luan não anda como antes. Acompanho ele tem uns 12 anos e lembro do auge dele. Era insano demais! Faz parte, a vida tem suas fases.
Agora, ele só fica viajando. Acompanho ele no insta
