Not the best of the best flatrgounders on the planet.

BATB has actually changed skateboarding more than I think we realize sometimes. Flatground was always a thing, but it was less emphasized than other stuff, like ledges, stairs, and rails. Now there is a whole generation of kids who positively SHRED at flatground. These two guys, in particular, are absolute animals. What a match. Wow!
Nah. All aspects of the activity continue to progress slowly and steadily, year after year. There remains very few flatground/freestyle-only skaters. Even in BATB, almost none of the competitors spend most of their time on flatground.
Mad props to Tyler too though. These 2 doods are in my opinion miles further than anyone EVER in terms of flatground trick selection and consistency (yes I'm considering PJ Ladd, Mike Mo, etc.). Like yes Jamie is the best but Tyler is right there pushing Jamie. Tyler was literally one bail away from skunking who we're calling the Goat. Gotta give that guy his flowers too.

Insane Offensive and Defensive Game from both players, I think this is one of my favorite BATB and I watched all of them. Mad respect for both of them, the finals were also lit, but this here is just madness.

Mike Mo was ahead of his time and people couldn’t land or still can’t tricks he did (talking about pros and good am skaters). Now there’s a guy who can go even further than him and many others who could beat him (i still believe if there wasn’t any injury he’d be the flat goat, my favorite) but always when someone is first in something and pushes the limit someone gets out there too soon. Skateboarding is still new and there’s more and more people doing it. This is history guys

i mean they cut out a ton of pauses between tricks in general, it makes the game go by faster.
