@@tmjones212 well as you saw kelvin did slide some of his tricks but he only slid about the last 90 degrees for the most part. i think they mostly mean if you kickflip and then revert or pivot the landing at the very last second, you can’t call that a frontside flip it would have to be a kickflip revert. not to mention kelvin was on defense for most of the game who cares if he does a little sliding.

Every time I watch Luan I find it hard to refute that he is the flat ground Goat. I don’t think there is anyone else like him. Even against great skaters like Chris Joslin, his power and clean execution display a significant difference

I guess at end of the day, my preference is the aggressive display of power of Luan. Also, as deep as Sewa’s is I do think Luan’s is a little deeper, but I could be wrong.

What I’m beginning to understand is that the speed that Luan does his tricks and height he pops adds a whole other level of complexity to the tricks he does. Who else can combine pop and speed with style on his go-to tricks? Not many I know... While many of his go-to tricks aren’t the “hardest”, the speed and height he performs them at makes them so, to me
catching the board in a solid fashion adds lots of control. that's what I think Luan has...reverts, late flips, late shuvs...you're ahead of the board's air time
I actually think that doing it that way is easier for him at this point. If you pop high you have plenty of time to let the board spin and flip and catch it and make a balanced landing. And going quickly helps you pop higher. That being said it might be easier for him but for most people it's impossible. The control and ability he has is truly something special. He's also just an absolute style master.
