It is not only the best review of OSFE i have seen (which is not that impressive, given how few there are), but one of the better reviews on any game i saw. Your style is so smooth, so engaging, so clear. Aestetics of the video reflecting the game are a real nice touch (like when you use Ragnarok for background at 9:47 . It just fits), and you can feel the appreciation you have for things the game does right (18:37 as an example) and disappointment when it didn't do as well as it could have ( 26:55, when you praise The Gate for being unique, but admonish it for being just a DPS check). All in all, great review. Loved it. And after years of updates and some rebalancing, i hope you would love it even more now. Also, Viola best girl, and best boss theme. I will duel anyone in a combat sport of their choosing over it.

Trust me, I know that I haven't done much after this whole endeavor, life picked up in a few new ways and I got pulled to streaming which has been a source of consistent content but I haven't really bridged that gap here. I want to make more videos like this though! I just hate that it ended up being the "later" rather than sooner ^^;
Flow is honestly op, a mix of the waterfall one with the barrier one? Every waterfall hit adds one flow, and it attacks for every flow you have. Barrier? After enough flow you become immortal. All you need after that is some sort of starter to get flow at first, like the earth prayer card, and maybe some artifacts like the one that adds flow for shuffling or less shield loss from shuffle, and with enough flow you can even have multiple waterfall casts attacking at once. Plus, if you use time stop or some other time card, the waterfall stacks all hit at the same time, so you can abuse that for one massive (multi-part) hit
Both of them are also extremely low rarity cards, so it's really easy to build. The worst part is removing all the excess cards, but with one or two extra cards in there, it doesn't hurt consistency much either. Personal character recommendation, saffron. Terra isn't as useful with her tile break, and saffron is able to get a timestop attack. Saffron's default weapon is always good though, and helps with some chest variations.

In all I've played, I never noticed that the victory music changed depending on if you flawless cleared or not. Too quick on the draw when card selecting, I suppose. I really enjoyed this analysis and got lost in your presentation and voice that I didn't even realize this was a 42-minute video until the 30-minute mark when I paused to get a glass of water. Keep up the good work and I hope your future projects find you at greater success! Oh and I can't remember if you mentioned it, but did you have a favorite character/most fun build you had? I liked playing Saffron for the dumb builds like maxing out weapon damage or getting high spell damage and exclusively using tractor beam because it would pretty much destroy anything on 3/4ths of the board and was extremely good at killing The Gate...as in I hit one button and didn't touch my keyboard for the next minute. Favorite character and build? Oh man that's a hard one but if I had to put it down to one it would have to be Kunai Shiso. Even though I love all of the characters, Kunai Shiso is fun because he really lets you show off how well you know the fights by just playing the dodging game and then MASHING the hell out of the cast button with all of the kunai you've built up. Though a special shoutout has to go to Moneygrubber Shiso, and Shopkeeper just in general. Love mechanics that mess with money so both of those playstyles are ones I get a lot of mileage from!
I just stumbled onto this game yesterday, finding it on Game Pass. After one run where I had no idea what was going on, I looked for a video to try to help me get some sort of a grasp on it, and found this! Great video, and I’m really impressed with the quality of it all, to the point that I’m surprised you don’t have more subscribers. But I suppose if this game’s been out for over 2 years and I hadn’t heard of it until just now, that unfortunately trickles down to this video not getting much traction. I hope more videos like this boost the game’s visibility! Again, great video, and I look forward to seeing more from you. As far as the story goes, I assumed just from looking the title artwork that it’d have some sort of story, and it’s a real shame that it’s barely there. I’d love to see someone do a official comic book run telling events leading up to the main game or something like that. That’d be amazing.
I liked this video enough to watch it all in one sitting. I recently managed to do a full genocide run using a mish mash of a jam deck and a Trinity deck, with key cards being Jam Cannon, Trisect, and I think Shine and Focus. I found this video to be really well done and clearly had a lot of effort put into it.

Sometimes I forget that some people are just significantly better at games than me (as I am than others, admittedly). Just having genre experience or reflexes or whatever means you can come in and get this game under wraps in 60 hours. Have you done any of the Hell Modes since this video was made? Thoughts on the updates? Either way, good stuff.
There were definitely a good amount of struggles along the way! I remember being half-tempted to stop after trying to get Saffron's final loadout for nearly an entire day (hell I had to rely on using a cheese-strat just to make that fight as short as possible). But ultimately I kept going because having that little "????" On the character select just irked me. Well normally I'm not huge on making things more difficult just for the sake of it. But since there was a Terrable skin added for Terra I had to go and at least do Hell Pass 7 (I think I use some clips from those runs). It was a pretty good time, especially adding luck from the get-go! It's fun when the hard modes add some quirky things to sort of balance it out.
@@NyxieTheDreamSheep I really appreciate that the hell modes aren't a strict numbers game. I mean, some of them are, but others change up strategies. A lot of the "artifacts" some of them give enemies only activate when you Shuffle, so a character like Kunai Shiso can avoid triggering them.
very good video. i suck exceptionally sweaty balls at one step from eden. Thanks for showcasing it. I also wish it had more narrative. Its part of why I couldnt stick with it. That and the gameplay was so fast I had palpatations. XD
