Ford 1910 Tractor Pulling an Old Ferguson 2 Bottom Plow

Breaking this small field in preparation for planting sweet corn.
Tractor is a Ford 1910 (year model 1986)
Other than knowing the old plow is a Ferguson, I know very little about its history or what it looked like new. If you have any info you'd like to share about it, please leave a comment. Thank you.

My Father disk first, then turned the ground with a turn plow, then dish again, this got a powder cut 8-10 inches deep. Father got this trick from Progressive Farmer Magazine.
You can spread cow manure or other organic matter like leave or wood chips before disking, then it will e on the bottom when you use the bottom plow & not interfere with planting.
We always put the animal manure down & cut it in in the late Fall after a hard frost, but before snow. The turn plow will bury organic matter & smoother any weed seeds all at the same time.
We did this in the 1960's & 1970s, when Rodale Press Organic Gardening magazine was the only one talking about organic, but many farmer have use manure for many years, before it was a cool fad. Good video, Thanks.

I have a plow just like that on my d14 allis chalmers. It keeps getting packed up with dirt on the moldboard. Doesn't want to roll the dirt and sod I'm breaking very well. lAny ideas?

I know it can be finicky to get it adjusted just right. I’ve noticed depending on the soil , even the speed you pull it can make a difference.

My Ford two bottom has a pitch adjustment where the bottom 3 point pins on.(looks like a cam) that offsets the very rear of the moldboard that helped me. Hope this helps

A sod cutter right in front of both moldboards is also helpful to release the sod to help it flip
