200+ million budget and no one noticed that the main character is a sidekick in his solo film. The main battle is going on, and the main character is fighting with the "extras". Even the main villain in the end actually eliminates himself, reducing the hero’s efficiency to 0.
My take is that the hero and villain are the same person. Flash's actual fight is against himself. By attempting to change his past he has created this nightmare and his growth is that learns the hard truth that his best possible world doesn't include his mother. But that's just my opinion.

It's been a long time since I've read comics, but I thought Supergirl was sunny and optimistic by nature. This version is what happens after years of torture and, worse, learning about Kal's death. It's a fascinating (and badass) variant of Kara, but definitely an "alternate" version of her
One thing that I think was severely overlooked by fans and most critics I'd the style in which this battle was shot and how it was filtered and edited to match the theme and feel of the Man of Steel movie 10 years ago. They infact nailed this Man of Steel portion of the movie.
Are you serious? Rewatch the Faora-UI Man of Steel fightscene in Smallville and compare it to this. It feels like they went back in time by about 30 years, not even coming close to the quality of Man of Steel.
I actually like this Supergirl A LOT. she's humble, soft-spoken and has a healthy sense of gratitude. a rather grounded person which is a HUGE plus. pity the writers didn't give her much time to develop. i wouldn't mind seeing a movie, or better yet, a series of her own for us to delve more into her character.
Simply a perfect battle with Hans' tone. If they removed bad scenes and dialogues between Barry and Bary 2 and gave more potential for the battle against Zod and showed more of Supergirl it would be incredible. People, the flash doesn't even save soldiers 💀

@@herono-4292The Kryptonians are gods compared to the u.s military, with fighter jets being shot down from the ground, the gunship turning the desert into glass/crystals, and being able to take several missiles from the batwing no problem and still functioning afterwards. The military is still fighting despite knowing the power leap they're in, and knowing the kryptonians are unkillable.

In The Flash CW Show, they learned the lightning throwing, and then like STUCK to that. I'm glad that iin this fight, they learn it, but they dont Abuse it? They Use Their Real Speed And Ingenuity. Something Barry is known for. The movie got a lot of things wrong, and it messed up, but Overall this movie probably wouldve done well if it had a teensy bit more time.

I have always wanted to see a Flash vs Kryptonians battle. I've always felt Flash , if in full fight mode, could badly injure or even kill them. And here, we get TWO Flash's and a small army for them to fight. This was glorious. A pity Kara dies.

Now Superman can easily escape by flying up. He can kill Flash when Flash sleeps , since zero invulnerability. And so on. But on the ground, it's gonna be a proper fight.

Why dont the flashes grab weapons from the kryptonians? Like their guns and their knives, they should do more damage right? And if they run fast enough and gather enough velocity, they should be able to impale them pretty consistently.

Not sure about this Flash guy, but I'd watch an entire movie of Supergirl. That actress did a great job portraying the character.
The movie was good. I was it in theaters with my girl for like $10 plus like $15 weeks snacks brought in from outside and I had a blast w her.
Glad to know you both had fun. This movie is honestly better watching with someone or a group of people. When they enjoy it, you're more likely to enjoy it with them too.

Why do they say terraforming? Terra is Latin for Earth, which is exactly what the Kryptonians don’t want for their new planet.

@@fraisertinkoStill it seemed like he was struggling against her, which doesn’t even make any sense. Zod from MoS would destroy her without any effort. He and Faora were superb in hand to hand combat. In this one he just tanked her attacks until she depleted herself

Why dont the flashes grab weapons from the kryptonians? Like their guns and their knives, they should do more damage right? And if they run fast enough and gather enough velocity, they should be able to impale them pretty consistently.
I could feel the pain in Kara when she found out about kal. I might just watch this movie just for that. And of course Batman.

Nice. That was very entertaining to watch. Wouldn’t mind an R-rated director’s cut of The Flash movie with its due improvements, btw. Think it’s a fun film, at parts and likely the most entertaining one from DC’s 2023 movies, in my opinion.

No wonder this movie bombed. This is PS2 quality CGI. There are basically soldiers with useless guns and weaponry. No drama or feeling of high stakes whatsoever.
