today were heading back down the beach chasing after a big land based snapper again ! Hope you enjoy this adventure, Thanks for watching ! Fishing South Australia - Limestone Coast
Yes just something I’ve read on Google, how true it is I’m not sure, but they’re certainly easier to use than pillies off the beach, for me Yes mate limestone coast 👍
@@auslifeandy no ways! wonder how it would go just slow drifting in a boat might try it for the hell of it ahah ive done it with squid jigs before but yeah cool seeing a popper work like that
4:46 I think the higher oil content doesn't add any benefit. Heard on ALF podcast something like they don't smell oils. Probably on the episode about scents....was an eye opener
I think that’s about attractants, oil is an attractant for fish, wether it’s smell or taste im not sure but that’s why tuna oil attracts sharks and rays etc 👍
@@auslifeandy must be taste because it's not smell. Episode 316 14:40. It's actually the amino acids not the oil they can smell. Couldn't help myself trying to find it
Cheeky bail arm trick! Dunno if I'd ever do it on a sandy beach but handy to know.
The SSM 950 can take the sand haha
Gotta love those rays lol
Interesting about the saurys. I've never tried them but will give them a go. Nice spot too. I presume that's way down your way near the Mount

Go the surf poppers! May have taught you that trick. Well done mate. Massive mullet off the surf!!!! 🎣
Sure did mate ! Had a couple snapper take one aswell
Just watching one of your vids now!
Saurys are dynamite gummy bait, and they stay on the hook well.
If you want Eaglies, use squid 😉🤣
Yeah can rely on them staying on the hooks for a long period of time
interesting seeing that popper work
I’ve Caught 2 snapper on the popper as well !

@@MrBrutalFrosty imagine it’d work a treat if drifting with it on a patternoster rig to keep it down mate ! Worth a try

@@yep.fishing yeah that’d make sense. more oil, more amino acids ! Why tuna is so good I spose !
Great vid Andy, nothing better than fishing but 2nd best is sitting thousands of miles away watching yer lad fishing… looks bloody lovely
poppers work very well, but the hooks they come with are ordinary, often had salmon take poppers over pillies
Agree I’ve lost couple snapper on poppers from straightened hooks
Wat is rod n braid details pls
Bloody rays get a bit annoying. All part and parcel tho.
You’re telling me mate ! Eagles and port Jackson’s are a staple where ever I fish ha
99% sure it was a KG the inital run.
