Here's a little trick i learned with a popper like that hold the rod tip almost straight up and pull back to make it pop instead of holding it low. Works much better that way (it kids pulls it up and out of the water making a good popping noise

Fantastic job on the lure. However these lures, which look almost identical to yours, are now selling at most Dollarama Stores (Dollar Stores) in Canada at $4.50 CDN. So it’s not worth our while to make one, but a job well done by you.
