It's honestly how I got better at boxing, your flaws really show, and without a trainer, it's your only way to fix your flaws. And boy oh boy did i look horrible, i mean horrible. Also learned from boxing the only way to change bad habits, is with a new habit. Literally. And it's always feels good to see you change your game, and get to see yourself get better.
New subscriber here. Watched a few of your videos and make great points about your subject. One thing I would like to add is about dry firing; doing it in front of a mirror. I like to see the position of my arms/shoulders. Also see my hands when drawing from concealment. During those actions I see how my clothes behave/look, to include belt/holster.
Unfortunately it’s like a 50/50 chance they let you record while shooting. Might just have to pay for a membership at a private range or something because I do agree.
Yea I have heard some ranges not be okay with it which is absurd if you ask me. I’ve always found that if you’re respectful and you’re not bothering anyone most places will let you
Great video! Would love to see a video on your thoughts regarding a weapon light. I carry a separate light in my pocket and trained with it, and I'm torn on whether or not I should carry a weapon light also. I have a few weapon lights on my home defense systems, but none on my carry options. Great content as always!
It’s extra weight, which helps reduce recoil. That also adds weight below the belt which can eventually irritate your low back. Do you *NEED* a WML; no. But it’s a backup to a backup, I like to keep mine on for evening time/what if your handheld gets knocked out of your hand or you slip and it rolls away from you? You can always pull your WML off to use independently. Both is the answer. Redundancy. Like spare magazine; it’s for malfunctions, THEN extra firepower (which statistically, you probably won’t need).
Holding your breathe increases heart rate and BP. Tactical turtle reduces vision and increases sympathetic nervous response bc the vagus nerve in the neck gets impinged. This is a SPORT.
I try to record myself when the weather is nice. Right now, it's so hot and humid that I just run outside and shoot a couple hundred rounds and run back inside 😂

Like gym mirrors: use them to critique your own form. 🙌🏻

Just went today. Had the equipment but didn't do it. I was even there by myself. I'm going to next time for sure.
shit, I don't know why I haven't thought of doing that
Yea seems kinda obvious but for some reason most of us don’t lol you’d be surprised what you catch when you watch yourself on camera
Like mirrors at a gym; critique your form.
Finally!
Holding your breathe increases heart rate and BP.

Very well said! 🙏🏽
I record myself cuz it’s like
Highlight film. I can watch and see where I make mistakes then go back and correct them
Yup agreed. Most of us have some ticks/bad habits we’re doing and we don’t even realize it lol
