Scott, you're alive! Good to see ya buddy. You cant go from 2 videos a day to nothing for 5 days.. Thank you so much for doing this video. I really wanted to see how fast you went with an AIO. Great idea on the HD Speed mixed with correcting cream, you sir are living in 3017!
i love you man and i missed you as well:)..been a little crazy on my end but i look forward to making more videos soon..as always i love you on the channel and thank you for all the kind words:)
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing one other quesrion. I'll be in dallas in two weeks. do you know of a good place to get professional detailing supplies? I've been to wash solutions but wanted to try somewhere new.
I couple of minutes into this video and just knew this isn’t the product for me lol. I’m very glad about Scott’s honesty with his experience with these products. It saves us a lot of money
Scott, amazing video brotha! I'm not a prof detailer, but I do detail jobs on the side for my apartment complex, and videos and great info such as this help so much! Thanks Scott!!
I'm glad you brought up profitability. Years back I fixed computers and I had to explain to customers that I charged for time and that I did not sell repairs. I charged for time. Again; Thank you for your channel.
Hey scot. Thanks for the vid. I was floored that it can take so long with hd speed. But If its going to take 6 to 8 hours with a aio or one step. Why not do a three step with 3m perfect it system or the likes and get true paint correction in just a couple hours? I know it's a more expensive up front cost of the product. But one could do three to four cars in the time it took to do one with hd speed. If I am going to be working in direct sun I prefer poor boys or scholls products just depends on the type of paint I am working with. Also I just bought my first Da polisher after watching some other videos of yours. I have 3 deWalt and two flex compact rotary s all set up differently to save time. But I am looking forward to trying out a Da for the first time in my 25 years of paint correction. Thanks for videos keep up the good work.
Hello Scott Ed from Maryland. I used Griot's complete cut with there microfiber. follow up with there 3&1orange pad . Owner said didn't look that good new
Hi Scott, i am a 21 year old University student. I have a detailing business, as well as playing Jr hockey with aspirations to go further. I have been using Menzerna 3 in 1 for 1 step corrections. What is your opinion on the product? I love the videos and the knowledge, you provide is something I am grateful for. Keep up the good work!!!
Thanks Scott, yet another info filled vid/tutorial. I followed your "advice don't over think it" and got a replacement backing plate and new pads for the HF DA polisher went for the buff & shine uro closed cell pads and I am loving the results on a 2016 black Ram. Now I see this video and wonder if I should flip from Megs ultimate liquid polish and the wax hmmm. Any way can you do a video/s on claying I would love to see your thoughts tip and trick on this.
I notice you don't have your garage setup as a detai!ing shop. You should make a video of how you store all your detailing equipment and supplies. Love the videos.
I use speed the same way, I use it quicker than a paint correction and slower than waxing a vehicle. it comes out great and it brings back tons of shine
Just watched another channel where Griots Correcting Cream was used first then to finish he used HD Speed to finish since it has glaze..cool video as' always Scott. 💎
Hi Steve. Using this method to correct paint. How many cutting pads do I need Total? 8 pads Griot's correcting cream ,and then 8 with HD speed to do like a 2013 Black Honda Accord 4 door sedan?
His name is actually Scott.. But whoa that is a lot of pads. I'm going to assume you're not a professional here.. So if you're blowing out your pad every pass or two, and not over using product, you can do the entire car with one pad for each step. If you don't have compressed air, use a brush (a toothbrush even) and MF towel instead. Don't copy Scott's example here, work in small sections. Do not use too much product. Beginners always use too much product. Take your time and have fun.
Thank you Scott for some good information. Have you try to mixing correcting cream with HD speed? will the cc polish remove the protection in speed? Then you don't have to do a 1.5 step.
its a cool idea but I'm not sure the oils within the two compounds would play well together, I'm just not a compound engineer but it could be fun to play and explore some time:)...thanks for your comment
Scott is there a reason why you did the fast correcting cream from Griots and then went with the HD Speed rather than continuing with the Griots Correcting Cream ? Would the results have been similar? I’m new to this and greatly appreciate you sharing your knowledge through your videos.
Hi Scott, love your videos. I have a question. Just picked up new bmw 540i in white and noticed 2 fine scratches in the trunk, looks like clear coat scratches. I don't think I want to use Any heavy compound on clearcoat. Any suggestions? Greatly appreciated. Thanks
how long will it take? Charge by the hour what itll cost. this is too broad of a question. but i do about $150 a step for cars, guessing itll take about 3 hours. if it takes less i do other things for the customer. Because demand allows me to do so.
My price for that service is $125.00 for cars. Usually takes three - four hours. I charge $25. 00 extra for suv's, and medium duty trucks. $50.00 extra for large trucks/vans/suv's.
Scott, do you have any advice for polishing on a vehicle that's been repainted? I have a vehicle that was a rebuild and it was repainted. How do I test clear coat hardness?
Hi Scott. Lots of good info from your video. Thanks. Got a question though since you also have a Lexus. Would the paint be too soft for Fast Correcting Cream (minor swirls) or stick with Correcting? Was thinking of using FCC with orange pad instead of cutting pad btw. Also your opinions on HD Cut?
For my daily driver I want to use HD speed but I was wondering after doing that to my whole car do I need to apply a wax or something to seal the point ?
No. Speed contains montan wax protection. If you want something longer lasting use somwthing like 3D ONE, and follow with 3D Poxy, or some other dedicated protection product. My personal favorites are Duragloss 111, or Aquawax. If not: Apply the Speed, and let it sit for 15-20 minutes, wipe off, and go.
Do you always take the hood off the cars to work on them? The reason i ask is because i have a big Infiniti FX45 and that hood is pretty big :o/ I think doing that would take my back out of commission for good. are hoods hard to remove? will they fall back into place easily ? Thanks for your replay.
Ervargas NYC. Yea, I was beat after disasembilimg my car to detail it, and the money i spent on all the tools to take it apart. Now I have to take it all apart again, i need to wash it!
sikkinixxmc you r correct. I guess what i meant was wouldnt it be counter productive to use a cleaner/wax after using a compound? Doesnt hd speed compound, polish and protect all in one step? Isnt it just best to use hd speed only?
An AIO is a light polish with wax. Kinda like m205 without wax. A compound cream will leave a light haze because its aggressive. That's when you follow up with a light polish. An AIO is good for light defects.
Train & More Trains - Of you consider the Meguiar's d/a microfiber correction system, it uses a compound followed by a cleaner wax. The intention is to both refine and protect on one step, after using the compound. I do the same with Duragloss 501, which is a fairly intensive cleaner/sealant. I can follow an aggressive cutting step with it. In my experience, it delivers more correction than Speed, M66, M166 will deliver. Cheaper, and longer lasting protection as well.
just curious. When you say you spend 4.5 to 5hrs on a job with this 2-step process, are you including washing/claying the car or its just the polishing timeframe?
Dear Scott......i just.i am thinking.......If you have used griots correcting cream or sonax 04-06 + menzerna lock for the same time as you spended for fast correct+ hd speed.......you yould have better or worst results.....thanks.my friend Kind reegards from.athens.greece
Many fine & wise words. Have you try CarPro Essence? One of my new favourite car detailing product, the results is super with a super gloss level! Try it if you get a chance.
I would say that the griots correcting cream is about the most aggressive product that you can use as a true one step without leaving a haze on most paints. Meguiars D151 has a good amount of cut as well, but correcting cream beats it all day. HD speed is good, but it's overpriced. 151 has a bit more cut and is way cheaper, less than $40 a gallon.
Scott. Let’s say you are spending 4 minutes on a section of passes. On one section, you do four passes with quick arm speed. Then the next section, you slow down your arm speed in the same four minute time frame and you wind up doing two section passes. In both sections, the pad was in contact with the paint in the same amount of time per section. But the faster your arms speed was, the more section passes you made within that 4 minute time frame. Will the end result be the same, as long as you keep the polishing time consistent? This subject might make for a great video.
Fast correcting creme topped with Essence Xtreme Hybrid Gloss Enhancer would be much better then, do you agree? I mean I've seen Essence sheet water after 9-12 months with ideal washing and low ish miles, ~8000 driven. Its got actual semi permanent filling abilities that can really make something look perfect, and not just wash off after 1 month... Thoughts Scott?
Dscherer14 Man!!! That's exactly what I was thinking. You can't beat such combo. You get the best of both world for that purpose while delivering exceptional cutting and Gloss
I appreciate how realistic and informational your videos are...keep up the great work Scott! These videos have been so much help
I still come back to this video to refresh my memory and some sales tips...the 1.5 step. LOVE IT!
One of the best explained detailing videos yet. love your style.
"Nothing is ever really quick with Scott, right?" You are fantastic, Scott. Keep it up!
Usually I'm not leaving the comments, but damn... Scott... You are so amazingly deep in the details like, in my opinion, no one do this. Thanks!
Thanks for your honesty Scott you're an inspiration to many including me trying to learn from you to try and get into this business.
Great video and great idea with the 1.5 step paint correction technique. I will definitely be incorporating this into my detailing arsenal.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP WITH ALL YOUR VIDEOS YOU HAVE SHARED!
"Everything is falling off the hood". Well, that's how slick it is. Thanks Scott for all the advise.
Thank you Scott ... I am learning so much USEFULL information from you about car care ...
Scott, amazing video brotha!
I'm not a prof detailer, but I do detail jobs on the side for my apartment complex, and videos and great info such as this help so much!

Sorry if I am asking a newbie question, but how can a 3-step full correction take 2 hours if it takes 8 hours to use an AIO?
I have been doing these with meguairs m105 skipping m205 straight to meguairs d151with great results. Scott the videos are really good.
I’ve listened to this song on repeat so many times and this is the first time I’ve seen the music video for this or seen what he looks like
Excellent information! Really appreciate your work.
You sir have open my eyes
Thank you. Best advice on TH-cam

Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing thanks for showing how fast the armspeed should be👍🏼 much appreciated
Hello Scott Ed from Maryland. I used Griot's complete cut with there microfiber. follow up with there 3&1orange pad . Owner said didn't look that good new
Cool video
Learned something new today..
Keep up the good work
Hi Scott, i am a 21 year old University student. I have a detailing business, as well as playing Jr hockey with aspirations to go further. I have been using Menzerna 3 in 1 for 1 step corrections. What is your opinion on the product? I love the videos and the knowledge, you provide is something I am grateful for. Keep up the good work!!!
menzerna 3 in 1 is ok...its just not sunlight friendly and its wipe off isn't the best
Go with angel wax enigma AIO.
Thanks Scott, yet another info filled vid/tutorial. I notice you don't have your garage setup as a detai!ing shop. You should make a video of how you store all your detailing equipment and supplies. Love the videos.
I use speed the same way, I use it quicker than a paint correction and slower than waxing a vehicle. it comes out great and it brings back tons of shine
Excellent Video!! I have both products and now I know how to use it. Thank you!!
love the way you talk thru the reflective shine of the hood........!! awesome tips as always! :-)
Laughed so hard that everything fell on the ground
Man you make it look so easy. I gotta get used to this cheap TorqX and it stalling so much.
Just watched another channel where Griots Correcting Cream was used first then to finish he used HD Speed to finish since it has glaze..cool video as' always Scott. 💎
How do you get in all of the crevices like where emblems are?
Is it faster, or comparable to lay down a true glaze, then seal it in with a true wax/sealant than to use HD Speed?
Thank you Scott for some good information. Have you try to mixing correcting cream with HD speed? will the cc polish remove the protection in speed? Then you don't have to do a 1.5 step.
its a cool idea but I'm not sure the oils within the two compounds would play well together, I'm just not a compound engineer but it could be fun to play and explore some time:)...thanks for your comment

Absolutely drives you nuts ,dont it!
how fast do you set the polisher to?
I love HD Speed for the daily drivers. Do you have any other recommendation for good one steps??
Andy's Auto Care Plus zi really love griots boss finishing sealant. It's an AIO. He has a video comparing it to HD speed
Duragloss 501 is excellent. The protection lasts a long time too.
Awesome video. Really enjoyed it.
Question. Why not follow with Griots finishing Sealant? It has some cutting properties as well, and leaves some protection. Just curious is all.
What is the life span of an orange correction pad usually? 1 use? 10 uses? More? And how/do you clean them if so? Thanks J
How much would a good charging point for a AIO polish for a average car.
how long will it take? Charge by the hour what itll cost. this is too broad of a question. but i do about $150 a step for cars, guessing itll take about 3 hours. if it takes less i do other things for the customer. Because demand allows me to do so.

Awesome.. Already have HD speed, but what products from Chemical guy's you recommend to do that job? V32, V34 or V36... Thanks..!
Wow Wow wow so many GEMS! thanks for the insight!
thank you so much:)
love this channel
Scott, did you put any additional wax on top of hd speed? Or just use that for the protection?
is exoforma ceramic shield a good product?
How to get clients from a brand to another. Good job!
A LOT THANKS FOR YOUR ADVISORS HELLO FROM MEXICO
Scott, do you have any advice for polishing on a vehicle that's been repainted? I have a vehicle that was a rebuild and it was repainted. How do I test clear coat hardness?
Can I put menzerna power lock after I finish with following this step?
What did you use after boss correcting cream?
Does Griots correcting cream leave hazing
What is your opinion on this product called Mirror Shine?
Hey Scott, what the hottest temperature in direct sunlight you will use the griots correction cream in? Trying to learn as much as possible.
If possible, try not to apply in direct sunlight, because what it will do is haze up too fast and it will be hell to get off
For my daily driver I want to use HD speed but I was wondering after doing that to my whole car do I need to apply a wax or something to seal the point ?

ERVARGAS NYC this is a dummy hood he got from someone to demonstrate and test certain procedures 👍🏻
Ervargas NYC. Yea, I was beat after disasembilimg my car to detail it, and the money i spent on all the tools to take it apart. Now I have to take it all apart again, i need to wash it!
What D A are you using in this video?
Great video. Thanks!
Hey Scott can you do a video on Meguiar's Solo Cut & Polish #86?
Yes, please test this product. Apex seems to really like it and I would love your input. Thanks and keep up the great work.
I wonder if correcting cream would work on a boats gel coat with a little LC pad? Kinda of 2 birds with 1 stone concept.
Quick question isnt hd speed a cleaner/wax? If so wouldnt this basically strip fast correction cream which i believe is a compound?
Train & More Trains you can't strip a compound. A compound basically rough sands the paint.
You can strip protection; wax, sealant.
sikkinixxmc you r correct. I guess what i meant was wouldnt it be counter productive to use a cleaner/wax after using a compound? Doesnt hd speed compound, polish and protect all in one step? Isnt it just best to use hd speed only?

Hey scott, what workrs in your world for a one step on a daily drver?
What kind of pad is that?
obviously medium orange foam but is that the griots model with hole?
no its a lake country force pad 5.5 inch
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing awesome
How much would you charge customers, for example, using HD Speed as a one step correction vs just paint enhancement?
Great Video Scott
What about a rotary with an AIO?
Kevin Briseno you can, but you'll be leaving holograms behind, you're going to have to follow up with a DA anyways.
Hi Scott, have you ever used or reviewed Meguiar's D151 cream. what are your thoughts on the product.
Hood is a mirror at the end of the video. Awesome
Why did you stop making videos?
Great Tip Scott
Hey Scott , griots correction cream vs megs ultimate compound?
Great review!
Hey scott give us some review about meguiars ultra polishing wax d166 !
Dear Scott......i just.i am thinking.......If you have used griots correcting cream or sonax 04-06 + menzerna lock for the same time as you spended for fast correct+ hd speed.......you yould have better or worst results.....thanks.my friend
Kind reegards from.athens.greece
how much does a 1 step cost
Awesome video
Can i apply Carpro reload or Kamikaze over coat, after HD Speed
i think that would be fine:)
What DA are you using? I hate my CG torq
Many fine & wise words.
Have you try CarPro Essence? One of my new favourite car detailing product, the results is super with a super gloss level! Try it if you get a chance.
Great video
Found the 1.5 step!!
good video buddy good info
top video dude good advice
I would say that the griots correcting cream is about the most aggressive product that you can use as a true one step without leaving a haze on most paints. Meguiars D151 has a good amount of cut as well, but correcting cream beats it all day. HD speed is good, but it's overpriced. 151 has a bit more cut and is way cheaper, less than $40 a gallon.
this machine is DA ? 8" ?
DonDomel it’s a dual action polisher with a 5” backing plate and pad.
Why not apply both at the same time, then go over it by hand with Meguiars X-Press or Griots Best Show?
hmmm...perhaps we should try it:)..but we would be blending polishing oils that may not work well together
Or they may work really well together :) Never know? Thanks for all your videos, I've learned a lot!
Blessings brother, your such a good person, where’s those tv Chanel your worth to have a Chanel of your own. 👍
Also do you prefer pad washer for time saving when you're working or do you just use a lot of pads?
Dscherer14 ohh Danny?
Duray James hello
Dscherer14 good to see u on here
Dscherer14 Man!!! That's exactly what I was thinking. You can't beat such combo. You get the best of both world for that purpose while delivering exceptional cutting and Gloss
