Hi We have been watching since you bought the cat.But today we have started watching from the start!!You have just dropped your pillow in the water episode it’s the first night on your previous boat your doing great a inspiration!!
For two people who have or had very little mechanical knowledge, you are learning very fast. When you buy a socket set, get a set of deep impact sockets with a impact hammer. They will release any nut or bolt. the sockets only have six sides, so they fit nuts and bolts perfectly. so you do not need buy a normal socket set straight away. I think the two of you are really great to watch.
‘You are an engine monk’, Nadiyana you are a wordsmith! I love this channel because you are taking on the challenge wholeheartedly, because you are authentic and also very funny. Please, no pregnancies or puppies for a long time yet, this is the sweet spot for me. Btw we just finished a window refit on our 1976 Rival so we feel your pain but it’s so good after the first deluge and it’s dry!
It's all about hard work and determination. You have chosen the road not many go down. Your rewards will be many. Can't wait for the next video. Peace out see you next time.
I’m glad she’s got an abundance of enthusiasm, the windows look 100% better. You’ve done a excellent job on the head Im proud of your determination. So many can’t be bothered with the valve stem oils seals oil leaks in the the chambers that’s why cars smoke when they first start up and it cokes up the head
I'm an engine builder and I know I learned from hands on which is the only way to learn in my opinion so with that being said....new valve springs are actually a must. Even though carbon deposit buildup is normal under the valve seats this also occurs more later on in the engine life due to the weaking of the valve springs which in turn doesn't allow the valve to close as quickly, allowing the firing or exhausting valve to be open just enough to allow carbon deposit more quickly.
Well well well.Things are starting to look better.I think the most improvment has happened between your ears. Not just messing around anymore.Loved the mini piano consert.

I have done it by hand in the past. use a new whet/oil stone for sharpening chisels check for matching surfaces with paper between the two. Most likely there will be slight deflection in the block from the studs but usually not more than the gasket can take up anyway. Just important to be crazy careful not to let any paste or filings enter oil ways or bores.

A tip if you're ever installing valves again. Give each valve a nice tap with the hammer on the end of the stem after installing the keepers. This ensures that the keepers are installed properly. Sometimes the keepers can seem like they're installed properly and then pop out the first time you start it. Giving it a few taps with a hammer insures that if they're going to pop out they'll pop out then.

I just had a quick look into my crystal ball and saw Mark as an older bloke who is the type of guy who others go to when they need someone with experience and expertise to help them with their projects, you know, the ol' fella who can turn his hand to anything...every marina has one or two. Four sailing channels stand out to me, Sampson, Athena, Free Range & Wildlings, all very different in content but the cream of the crop in my opinion. Mark & Nadiyana earn every bit of success they achieve, all the best guys.
Odd Life Crafting is a great sailing boat channel too.....very informative!
Top job on getting those windows leak free. I'm sure the engine will run. Many years ago I remember lapping valves whilst watching TV; it's got to be one of the most boring jobs out, but unfortunately it's essential.
I really enjoy your videos. I've been watching you long enough now that it feels like I'm calling round at friends on a Friday evening.....
Great progress again guys, so glad you managed to stop the leaking windows..... 🐶😎
Falling for this channel. 😁
