Your Magnolia tree is so pretty🤩 The pink petals on the ground look kind of magical. And your Jasmine must smell amazing. It looks lovely, along with the blue blooms on the Rosemary. Thank you so much dear Anna. I depend on some bushes for color and luckily there is an interest all year round. I got a few with leaves that give a pop of color even in winter. Much easier maintenance than planting annuals every spring. Even so, there are always chores that need to be done and unfortunately these days I get tired too easily. I hope you are doing well and already having a lovely week 💐💖🥰

Hi Mary, good morning. Maybe because temperatures never got real cold this winter, my Magnolia is performing slightly different. It has been with flowers since october, not as many at a time, though. And only 3 weeks ago it filled up with lots and lots of flowers. It is a beautiful spectacle and since I made the video which was 3 days ago, the leaves have started to grow although flowering is not over yet. Very hard to clean it all up now while it is raining and very slippery on the way. But very nice and I long for this every year. Hi Denise, I am ansious to start. I almost ordered a few Oncidium on line last night but I gave up. Instead I am going to try to find them locally so that I can take a look at the condition of the roots. I have been meaning to experiment growing the few Oncidium I have outdoors all year round but I have chickened out 🤣 But then I heard that other people in my country grow them outdoors and they are from up north where it is colder than where I live. So, I may as well try. Depending on what plants i can get, I will mount some directly on the living tree. I will try to find the plants I want locally, which won't be easy but I want to check the roots before I get them. It would be nice to start with healthy plants. O meu problema maior vai ser no inverno mas eu sei de pessoas que cultivam Oncidium no exterior o ano inteiro e em regiões mais frias que a minha. Se necessario posso colocar manta termica sobre eles. Carlos Keller, sim, adoro os videos dele, já sigo há muitos anos e tenho pena que ele não publique mais pois ele explica muito bem e sempre aprendo algo novo. Mas a vida não é só TH-cam. I was waiting just a little bit more to take a pic of part of a jasmine vine that is hanging over the hedge here because I too love the red buds mixed with the white blooms. There is a time when the combination is perfect and the smell, yes, I am really enjoying it as well. My dear Nina, yes Iris is like a vacum cleaner that does not work properly. She picks up here and leaves it a few meters away to pick up something else 🤣 But she actually eats the magnolia leaves which are edible anyway. Very slippery on the way when they are wet and they keep falling down. Very nice, though. I will enjiy looking at "your" jasmin too. The little red buds and the the white flowers are so delightful to look at, not to mention the scent. The Oncidium project has been on my mind for a while but now it seems it is the right time especially because I am in need of something different to lift up my spirits. I almost ordered a few Oncidium last night, they were at reduced price 10 euros blooming size. It sounded perfect but then I remembered just in time how unlucky I am with ordering on line and most probably, for being on sale, they would get here with no roots 😬 I need to calm down and wait, wait, wait 😂😜 Besides, although temps are not bad for February, I don't see proper sunny days in the forecast which is a bummer. Accept, accept 😉😊 I hope you are having many lovely sunny days in your part of the peninsula and may your 'chids be able to enjoy it much 😍😘🥰

Olá Marli, bom dia e muito obrigada. Moro a 2 km do mar perto de Peniche e especificamente nesta faixa de terra não cai geada. Esporadicamente já vi gelo no vidro do carro mas em mais de 20 anos foi só uma vez e nunca vi geada. Os invernos costumam ser bons mas os verões são frescos e húmidos, raramente passando dos 24 graus e essa é a minha única queixa pois preferia que fosse um pouco mais quente. Mas depois, quando me lembro das noites de calor quando vivia em Lisboa, fico mais satisfeita de poder dormir fresquinha aqui.😃 Enfim, vamos ver como corre a experiência. Estou ansiosa mas as noites ainda estão frescas demais e as temperaturas até desceram outra vez. Grande abraço e tenha um ótimo fim de semana 😘😘😘
Suas orquídeas são um expectaculo de lindezas variadas isso das o orquídeas oncydiun não gostarem tanto de vasos é interessante eu só tenho uma e em vaso, acho que é bem resistente porque está sempre com o vegetal feio não sei como não morreu ., é seu projeto vai pelo menos já está dentro de si agora é uma questão de tempo... Olá amiga Elisa !!! Há alguns Oncidium que se dão bem em vaso, são as que conseguem crescer raízes para dentro do substrato, geralmente as de raizes um pouco mais grossas. Quanto as folhas. quase todos os Oncidium são muito propensos a fungos e é dificil mante.los con folhas bonitas. Beijinhos e boa semana 😘😘

Fui ver bem a terra do meu Twinkle (penso que é o nome) está mesmo em terra, vou deixar aquecer um pouco o tempo e fazer uma espécie de saco com o saco roxo dos alhos (não sei se conheces) colocar esfagno e fazer o replante, não sei se devo colocar algo mais. Farei mal? A dor ou tristeza minha é não ter jardim com flores, amo tanto flores meu Pai do Céu 🙏 Sucesso para as Oncydiuns e bom fim-de-semana 😊
Olá Fernanda, bom dia. Sim, pode replantar o Twinkle em esfagno desde que nunca o deixe secar ou ficar encharcado. Mas acho que fica melhor em vaso do que numa rede. Mas pode sempre experimentar a sua ideia. O principal é só fazer o replante quando a planta recomeçar a ter raízes novas. Todas as orquideas só devem ser replantadas quando começam a nascer raizes novas, independentemente da estação do ano. Sem isso, podem morrer. Beijinhos e bom sabado
Olá Fernanda, acredito que seus oncidiuns irão se adaptar bem no cultivo externo, na árvore Magnólia, entre as bromélias, que irão proporcionar a umidade necessária para eles! Não tenho muitos oncidiuns, algumas chuva de ouro que foi mais fácil de cultivar, e perdi alguns aí parei de comprar! Os seus estão lindos!🌺🌸❤️

Hi Todd!!! I am prepared to have some doing better than others or even have some losses. But I have heard so many people from up north (where it is cooler than me) saying that they grow their Oncidium mounted that i decided to give it a try. Doing something different is also exciting however a proper greenhouse is out of the question, too expensive and more work. Have a great weekend with great cooking 🥰😍

You're right some get very large, but it gets to cold here where I live now to grow them, Tampa is the cutoff here unless you've got a greenhouse.
