I just love the first one.. the slipper orchid is so unique and breathtaking! Also (can’t remember the name) the lavender and yellow catlea. That one is on my wish list. Finally the purple cascade. The contrast of white and purple is so beautiful! And if it had a fragrance.. even better! Thank you for the bloom tour
I love a lot of the orchids this month. My favourites are: the Paph (I just love Paphs), the dendrobium, the Carnival Tolumnia and the Catleya Purple Cascade. That black Phal though was amazing and I really liked the last one too. The winner for me though was the dendrobium, it had a really special look I think.

My wish list now includes C. Cascade, and C. Crystel Smith NR. I recently got Procat. Golden Peacock, and it is vigorous and already bloomed. Got it in Dec., and love it! New growth is already happening. Thanks for sharing.
Danny, I absolutely love your orchids in bloom series! They are always so beautiful. The only drawback is that my wishlist explodes every time you post one.😂 It's so hard to pick one as a favorite. I have been trying to focus on miniature and fragrant orchids. Thanks❤

short version: Australian Dens, Cattleya Crystelle Smith, Oncidiums (leading to Tolumnia if the Oncids survive my environment). longer version: I've figured out my climate (San Jose, CA) is very close to eastern Australia where the Australian Dendrobiums are natives, so I'll be starting with them, am building a redwood self/bench to put them on outside my kitchen window, so appreciate seeing your australian Dens 🙂 !!!. for inside on the kitchen window sill I already have one oncidium, if it ever re-blooms I'll get some more and would like to eventually try tolumnia since they are related (but oddly I don't see them much here in USA). and finally, of all your catts I really like your Crystelle Smith the best and its on my wish list even though I don't know if it will survive on my window sill !
I have the Epicattleya Rene Marques 'Flame Thrower' and you are correct, she's a stunner. Very vibrant in color and love the shape of the flower. I've had her for 3 years purchased from the big box store (HD) here in Georgia and she blooms every year. Wishlist - Cattleya Crystelle Smith 'N.R.' Love these videos. My favorite this time was the Epicattleya rene marques tyler. I have one in my collection, but it has yet to mature and bloom for me. Very excited to get to see it in person one day.
I just add Manni Dark to my wish list it is outstanding ❤ I had to leave my 2 Dendrobium Nobile hybrid out side in the garden this winter because they are so big I couldn’t find place in my living room. You might remember or not I am also living in Cyprus. It was a bit gamble. But it’s turned out one of them full of bud but one of them doing nothing 😊 I also have Christal Smith I bought it last autumn after you. I wasn’t lucky to get bloom yet but I am looking forward too. They're all gorgeous but I'm especially smitten with the phal, those dark purple leaves are something to behold. I have a paph venustum as well but it is a small seedling, plus I have the chrystelle smith too and I think she might be in bloom in a couple of weeks, she just produced three new canes/pseudobulbs. She could have bloomed sooner but I dropped her right after I got her and her two newest growths broke 🤦♀

Hi Dani, am doctoring an Orchid that I just received. I suspect that it was too much sunlight. Since, so far it is the top leaves only. (Knock on wood).
I have found out that I have the best success with Paphs. I bought two venustums. Now, to get them to mature and to bloom. But I've bought Rene Marques several times and all that I can do is to kill it.
If your orchids are blooming in March, will you still cut the flower spikes off before summer (as you suggested in a previous video)? I have a "typical" orchid with buds and new flowers starting now.

Q how do I get to share a photo. had lost an orchid a two years back due to frost got a photo but never knew what it was.. I only have whats app and email and can lock onto you tube.

LD’s Bear King (dark Red variety!❤️) and Meiderland Chambe 😊 Oh also I love the mannii dark! Am I correct in thinking the green leaves underneath are not dark like the rest because they don’t really see the light ? Or does it change as it matures?
I cannot get my orchids to bloom at all. I put them in the basement for over two months to encourage plant stalks and only two out of 16 got stalks but buds fell off without opening.
I am sad to report that my (usually impressive) nursery had NONE of the new lovelies that I just added to my wish list from this video. The phal mannii ‘dark’ x speciosa is swoon-worthy.

I have added the word "floofy" to my vocabulary as it certainly does describe those rather blousy cattleyas! Such a perfect descriptor!
That Tolumnia jaivak Flyer Golden Sunset orchid is stunning. I had to pause the video and do a quick painting of one of the blooms. Love it.

For me the smell of the p. manni "dark" x speciosa is very similar to the Oncidopsis Nelly Isler.

The cattleya Chrystelle Smith I have is not fragrant either. My environment is similar and dry.
