    Update! When you are pouring the mix in, you can not turn on the machine until

    This was everything! Thank you for sharing. I purchased the popcorn maker and have been on the fence about the ice cream maker. I'm sold now. This looks so good!

      LaTreshia! Awww, thank you so much, I'm happy you enjoyed the video! I was wondering about the popcorn maker, I'm thinking about purchasing it. I like that you don't need a microwave to pop popcorn, this is a healthier option. How do you like it? It performed very well and I loved the color. Thank you for watching and you have a lovely rest of your week! GOD bless!

    Thank you sooo much for this video. I purchased this maker about 4 months ago and was intimidated about using it, especially with no recipes included! You explain everything and I'm going to make ice ceam tomorrow for my daughter. 😊😊😊❤

    Great recipe and machine instructions. My mouth is watering. Been researching machines and putting one in my Walmart cart now. Just can't afford the Ninja which is ridiculous in price. So thanks for showing how easy it was to use and the ice cream looked delicious 😋

    Thank you so much for the recipe! I couldn’t find it online. By the way, I recently learned that whole milk is healthier for you than skim . When they take out the fat all that’s left is sugar and it’s a very unhealthy drink . Milk fat does not cause heart disease according to what I have been reading, so I say enjoy the full fat!

      Hi Lynn! My pleasure! You are exactly right! I took a health class not too long ago at my local hospital and that is one of many things the nurse who was teaching the class informed us about, drink whole fat milk, it is best. I was so used to buying the 2% that I forgot to buy the whole fat milk. LOL! Thank you for the reminder and tip! Thank you for watching, have a lovely day! GOD bless!

    The problem though with top-motor ice cream makers is that the motors wear out more easily. When the motor is on the bottom, you have gravity working with the motor, rather than against it. Otherwise, I'd be down with buying this!

    • @JourneywithChar
      @JourneywithChar  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! Good to know! I never knew this. My Cuisinart's motor is in the base and has been ticking for over 16 years. Works like a charm. I will definitely rotate my ice cream makers so this one has a longer lifetime. Thanks for the info. Have a lovely day, GOD bless!

    It would have been perfect if the cord could be unplugged from the machine. That way it could be stored in the machine bowl and not be misplaced when you next want to make ice cream.

    Idk what I did wrong until now....I had the bowl sitting in my freezer since last night then I made a Brazilian lemonade mix with milk, lime juice and sweetened condensed milk....I didn't freeze the mix tho.....maybe it was also the sweetened condensed milk?...maybe I should have half froze the mix?...what went wrong?

    I just bought this and after the 35 minutes my ice cream is still water with a few pieces of semi frozen ice cream in it. Why is yours actual ice cream

    • @JourneywithChar
      @JourneywithChar  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The only thing I can think of is to make sure the container you freeze, that the liquid is completely frozen. No liquid movement at all. Also, take the base out of the freezer when you are done with making the mixture and are ready to add the mixture to the well frozen base. Very important that it stays cold. After I mix it, I add it back to the freezer for it to sit up better. You will notice in the video when the mix was first done to the next day when I scooped it, it was firmer. I hope this helps.

      So sorry to hear that. Please make sure the part you put in the freezer is completely frozen. There is no liquid moving at all. Also, in the video when I finished, I still put the ice cream in the freezer afterwards. I showed how it looked a few hours later which gave a softer serve and then I waited until the next day. The next day it was very firm and delicious. I hope this helps, but one very important thing is that the base is completely frozen. Thank you for watching, GOD bless!
