- Hello and welcome back to Journey with Char, everyone! In this video I share with you my new extra large griddle by Drew Barrymore made by the Beautiful brand! I have been needing a griddle, especially since it is Summertime, she does not want to be standing in the kitchen. I wanted to try it out so I made some UBE pancakes, eggs and bacon. Love this! I remember my mom used to have an electric griddle many long years ago. Finally, she could make pancakes for all 5 of us kids at once. I don't know where I'd put another appliance, but I am thinking about it.

I just ordered this and I'm so excited! Question... does it have hot spots? The MAIN thing I can't stand with my current griddle is the hot spots! It really only cook around the edge. Hoping this doesn't have that issue

@PhillyPhilly Oh I freaking LOVE IT!!!! I was a bit nervous because my other one technically had more square inches, but I can actually fit more on here because of the length vs. width. It cooks evenly and is insanely easy to clean. I held onto my other one "just in case" but finally just tossed it, this one is a keeper!

If the hot plate is removable for cleaning? If not it seems difficult to clean .thanks!
No it is not removable. Cleaning is a breeze, I have no problem with it! Cleans up great!
Hello, how do you clean it for the first time? Can it be submerged in water?
No, if you submerge it, it will not work because it is an electric griddle and the surface is not removable. Just get a nice warm soapy rag, clean the surface where you will place the food. Then rinse the rag to remove the soap and clean the soap off and the surface is clean. But please don't submerge it. I hope this helps. I've seen electric griddles where the surface is removable, but this one is not like that. Have a lovely week. GOD bless!

A little over a yard, give or take. I use an extra cord when I need to and it works fine.

Did you grease it before cooking? If so, with what (butter, oil, Pam)?
You can use any kind of oil you like. I use butter and olive oil together so the butter wont burn so fast or avocado oil. But it is up to you, the surface can take any of those oils.
How long is the plug in cord length?
Can you make steaks?
Hi Fredd! I have not tried cooking a steak on this machine, yet. I usually make my steaks in a cast iron skillet. But, I don't see why not, especially if you want to sear the steak and then finish it off in the oven, instant pot or in a gravy, depending on how you're cooking it and also what kind of steak you're cooking. It does a fantastic job for searing. Now, I want to try cooking a steak on it! Thank you for watching! GOD bless!
