I'll speak for Islam. With regards to the mosques being fancy - they are actually not supposed to be or at least don't have to be. We're told that you build it such that it protects people from the elements (a shack will suffice). The money that goes into those fancy mosques usually comes out of the pockets of the guy who built it. On a side note, Zakat, the alms tax, unlike charity, is obligatory on every person with SURPLUS wealth, i.e. +'ve net income, and it goes straight to the needy.

She claims to have spoken in tongues. I'm the ONLY one who challenges their superstitious beliefs and my own. They would be content with meaningless small talk that never challenges their world view.
