When I was a kid I used to play the hell out of 1 and 2, but after some time our Playstation broke and we have to switch to PC gaming, which was when I realise DAH isn't on PC. Now DAH1 got remake, I can finally play it on my laptop and it's good (there's minor nitpick here and there but overall I'm happy buying it full price).
Man if they remastered Mercenaries I think people would be blown away. It would sell bucketloads. That game had a blueprint for something special. A game with military-grade weapons available, complete destructability and great physics is probably the most straightforward formula I can think of for a g.o.a.t videogame.
I was thinking the same recently, game would be so much fun, even just for the nostalgia factor with polished graphics and gameplay, and a higher frame rate. Would be amazing

Been casually playing through this the past couple days. Most pure fun I've had with a videogame in a while. If you played the original back in 06 I feel like that lets you appreciate it the most.
I’m with you on that! We hardly have any dumb fun games these days! Is the DAH series particularly compelling in game design? Not really. Is it perfect dumb fun after a long day of work? Absolutely! Is it something which requires more commitment than a marriage in order to finish in under 80 hours? No, and it’s much better that way!
I loved playing this as a kid, much more than the 1st game. When they remastered the 1st game and knocked it out of the park, all I could think was "Please do 2 and don't F it up.... Please do 2 and don't F it up." I can't wait!

They would have to revamp big willy unleashed to remove the motion controls but it's still doable. POF would just need to be cleaned up on a technical and gameplay level.
@@XProjectHunterX Very true. Willy would need some altering since it was made for the Wii. PotF was actually a good game (not on par with 1 or 2) but the many bugs and glitches made it hard to play. A remake could actually make that game play as it should have been.
I honestly think they will make their own brand new game instead of remaking the other two. They weren’t as well received when they first came out so I can see them making a brand new game called. I wouldn’t even be surprised if they call it Destroy All Humans! 3
I refunded Saints Row after 5 hours of play and then saw that Destroy All Humans 2 remake is only a several days away so I immediately put that money I got refunded towards it. And it's only 40 bucks!
As a kid who got this game at a birthday Chucky cheese party. It makes me smile to get a chance to play this gem yet again just like the first which was a blast. I hope that this remake sells the franchise that it still has fans and that we can either continue to see remakes of Path of the Furion or Big Willy, or to create a actual DAH5 with a true to its roots expansion on the open world wackyness that I love. Games like these need to be kept safe from corporate greed.
13:05 No incorrect if you have no played the original game you can definitely notice some changes in the way dialogue is structured, slightly different cutscenes, re-worked geometry, new dialogue etc. If you have actually played the original Destroy All Humans 2 you will notice some definite differences, and while they may not be massive differences they’re noticeable.
My friend and I have been losing our minds over this remake because of how well it's done and there's absolutely no tethering this time around. I legitimately had to put the controller down once we split up and watched the map expand due to our distance from one another. I'm biased af cause I played both the original games, but this remake is stellar.
I remember playing this game as a 10 year old with my buddy that came over for all nighters this was the absolute best game ever especially the Frisbee gun

I think one thing that I know they are going to forget is adding gyro aiming to every port except xbox ports. Pc, ps4, ps5 and switch would definitely benefit from it as an option
In DAH1 my game would occasionally crash, which I think was due to graphic settings, but even when lowered to minimal it would still crash when too much fire fight or particle is on screen. Googling and it seems I was the only one who has this issue. Now it's true I'm playing on a laptop, but it was fairly modern so fingers crossed for DAH2. I've been waiting for this ever since they annouced DAH1 remake.
I loved Destroy All Humans! as a child, and the second one was my favourite by far. I thoroughly enjoyed the remakes, though they weren't perfect. The removal of the disclocator, and the removal of the Yeti/Albino Blisk in Tunguska, for instance. This might be a nitpick, but I have some issues with the cutscenes. It's not the graphics, the sound effects, nor the voice acting. It's the cinematography. Which is a sgame, as the original two games had some great cinematography.
I've heard of these games but I've never actually played them. But I just bought the 1st one and 2nd. I'm excited to play them. The 1st Game was $20 the 2nd Game was 25 on digital.

Real good video man. Been playing it the last couple days myself and find it more enjoyable than the first environment wise at least. And the saucer seems more fleshed out and fulfilling to utilize in missions and free roam destruction. Straight to the point, touches of humor here and there and fair assessments of the game overall. I’m glad your copy wasn’t fully bugged. Thr game removed takoshima for some reason, and now I’m left without any chance of progressing. And I’ve reinstalled 2x. It’s just buggy. It is fun, but it’s littered with bugs and performance issues.
Funny story....was at the GameStop to pick it up....that's when I realized "oh...this ain't on PS4 😢" and then I walked out. Totally my fault 🤷 just didn't expect this game to need the power of the ps5 🏋️🏋️
Don't worry about the PS5. I got mine at GameStop in a bundle that cost me $1000 in total. Extra storage is also running into the $150 - $300 range. Better off just chilling with the PS4.
I have a bit of OCD so when I play games I have to grind a lot in order to afford everything so probing people almost became a way of life for me in this game.
I loved this game as a kid but the only problem I have is that the game progression is a little fast and I find myself completing certain cities a little faster than i would like :/

Pandemic was a great AA studio. Saboteur was fantastic, I recently got it on ps3 and want to actually play through. Mercenaries for og xbox as well, never tried it.
I already know it's great and knew it would still be great. DAH! 1 & especially DAH! 2 really stuck out for me as a kid. I never owned them until many years later. I beat path of the furon and found it to be decent. I really wanna play this game but I don't have a series X or PS5 and I'm not sure how it would be on pc.
Im sure that after remasterinug the trilogy they might make a fourth game to really dive in deep with the new ideas they might have after remastering this
Is anybody else having issues with saving on PS5? Twice now I've loaded the game to find it didn't save my progress from last time, despite the save icon showing regularly, and I've had to replay like 4 hours total. Has me reluctant to keep playing, but nobody else seems to be having this issue?
There was an nvidia leak that mentioned “destroy all humans 3”. Everything on the leak was spot on so far. Curious whether they remake path or the furon or make their own dah3 since it was panned
Matty, enemy robots weren't in the original release at all, and there was no way to prolong a body snatch like you can now, and we have the Super Baller instead of the Dislocator Ray. Skate is more just an add on from DAH! Remake. This is new enough. and tbh the gene blender is busted for me, i've sucked up so many KGB off the rock in bay city and it still said 0
Pandemic was so good at making pure chaotic fun. Would love to see Mercenaries come back in some form.

With the first remake I really liked the all the new skins for crypto and just a very faithful remake
And they brought all those skins back for this one. On top of delivering twice as many new ones for this game.

I got it I played dah 2 over and over as a kid back when you only had single player games and honestly it's amazing definitely worth the money
DAH2 was really the magnum opus so after they did the first remaster well I had high expectations and they delivered.

Pandemic Studios also made army men RTS for the GameCube which is one of my all-time favorite games. Seriously highly suggest playing it

they still improved the second game with the dash feature, even if the first game had it too. it makes it so much more enjoyable to navigate the map
