Bought 3 inch cai and having problems with e tuning. Vehicle sounds like it wants to die after e tuning. All the maintenance is up to date and no vacuum leaks. Just stumped what it could be. Love those pops!
Thank you for the reply! I just got a hold of uprev the company and they told me the reason why my tuner cannot send me e tunes is because I'm running windows 11 🤷🏽♂️.. and there not compatible with windows 11 rightnow, the reason John isn't able to open uprev or send me e tunes after data logging.
Stewie Griffin yes you do lol. I have a 7at g37 and believe me you do. My transmission went out at 171k miles and I changed the trans out every 70k miles
It's usually 10whp or more between Motordyne and Tomei, GReddy or ISR. In my experience, the Motordyne CBE scavenges poorly and flows only marginally better than the stock CBE and Nismo CBE.
There IS some stuff missing. Not sure if anyone else caught it, but this car also has the Z1 intake plenum or whatever it’s called. You can see it where he says “trick ass intake Delete”
Yep, but if you have ever dyno'd the ported manifold by itself, the gains are minimal (if any). I have also tested my intakes vs stock airboxes, tune vs tune, without any porting and have made similar gains (30whp range).
Wish I knew about your intakes before I got my Z1 kit but I'm hoping as I got the "Gap insurance" XD, I will destroy the other VQs at our next meet. It's disheartening seeing a stock 350GT sedan pull on my 370GT coupe :(

For us G35 DE owners, how are we going to relocate the intake to the front of the radiator to avoid heat soak? There is no holes to bypass the hoses to the front. Need you expert opinion on this. Thanks
dee dremel a hole open. On my g37 I had to widen the holes for long tube intakes but if you don’t have holes to start with you will have to make holes for the piping to fit through or move around some parts.
Dee.....For the G35 DE owners, the problem is not drilling a hole for it to fit, it is relocating the A/C lines. Another G35 owner has already done it and I've seen the pics, I'm waiting on instructions from Moncef so I can do it and I'll be posting a how-to install video too.
I wouldn't waste my money on this intake setup on a DE motor, no worthwhile gains if Any will be made over any other decent setup even worse taking the price point into consideration.
The last time I did a true CAI and tune at the same time on a DE, it made 29whp/40wtq over the stock airbox and stock tune. The car was baselined with longtube headers and full exhaust. Even as a short ram, this intake setup has made around 15whp more than the RevUp airbox (both runs tuned).
Nick Cotiuc nooooo, obviously when it’s off there is no noise, however when he does start it it roars for like a second and then quits down, and not cold starting, just a normal start up, I hear a lot of cars do that as well
Depends on DE, HR, or VHR. On VHR (As shown above, we see 22-35whp), this video shows the 370Z making 35whp off of the intake swap (was previously tuned by another shop). My G37 picked up 30whp over stock airboxes (both runs tuned).

So it’s been long standing for YEARS that the stillen long tube intakes have given the most power. Need to show comparison between the two. Also, the BEST long tube headers and exhaust goes to Fast Intentions. Best non ricey sound is the FI combo with 18” resonators and carbon fiber exhaust cans...
I have had independent tests done where the AdminTuning intakes make up to 11whp more than the AAM, Z1 and Stillen Gen3 intakes. (both tuned). I do not think the FI longtube headers are as good as the PPEs, but if you have some data to prove otherwise I would be very interested in seeing it.
I completely agree. There needs to be an actual comparison between Stillen and Admintuning intakes with actual datasheets. A lot of people including myself are still set on stillen intakes although this sounds promising.
I posted the graphs from the most recent test on facebook.com/admintuning, showing the Admin intakes making 11whp more than the Gen3s. This test was done by an independent shop, but when the opportunity arises I will do one here.
This is what I want to know... I'm guessing test pipes... but I now live in TX (from FL), so I don't want to be under the car every year swapping that crap out for emissions testing.

@@Slisktord No it's not neccessary. You do it by logging on the road. The tuner tells you what and how to log. You just need the tools in that case the right cable with a license. And after some runs and flashes you are fine.

No problem. I'm actually getting better than 23 cause I forgot to reset it. Its all on how you drive it. Its good for a 6cyl considering Subaru's don't get a lot more.

what about high flow cats i got kinetix high flow cats muffler delete i was thinking of getting an axleback manzo exhaust. whats your opinion on that cause i was thinking your intakes, high flow cats, manzo axleback, should prob easily push 300whp in 5AT tranny

It seems like the fart can single exit exhaust has the most gains according to his list, but the look ruins the car imho. It Looks too big, sticks out way too far and leaves an empty spot in the rear bumper exhaust cutout. Would be nice to see some proper dual cbe that produce the same type of gains while sounding amazing and retaining the factory dual exhaust look.

I've got 45k on my 2009 G37S I'm about to replace the clutch and flywheel. And then get long tube headers and the bigger intake. I seem to need tires every 3000 miles. Is there a suspension upgrade I should get and fix that problem? Also should I just supercharge it and skip the larger intake ? If so would a stilleb be a good option 🤔

update, this car went to the 1/4 mile and ran 12.28@112mph last weekend, on street tires, stock gears, stock converter, leaving at 1,300 RPM.

change ur trans fluids every 70k miles and check your engine oil often

The Motordyne exhaust is the nicest exhaust your going to find for this car. The 1-8 HP difference between other exhausts doesn't make up for it.

We have done this before and have been able to make 270-275whp with it with relative ease.

The tubes point downwards so it shouldn't accumulate water in the intake tubes and there is an air filter. Only way to know is to test.

I would run the Z1 intake if I wasn't running the Admin one. Any other options are pretty whack for various reasons.

Mine bone stock gets near 22mpg. Manual sport model. It's kind of like driving a truck since you're using premium fuel.

Get an alignment. Supercharging requires a larger budget but the results are great.
Spc front control arms. U can adjust camber you need for your wheel setup
