In this video, we cover the CORE bolt on modifications you can make on your 370Z or G37 to maximize horsepower. This has been proven for myself (AdminTuning) thousands of times on both UpRev and ECUTEK, in all parts of the country - but this video breaks down individual steps on actually getting those gains, along with some information on the tuning strategy and map structure.
The test car we used already had Z1 headers, test pipes, and Motordyne catback. So we did a baseline power run, AdminTuning intake swap, injector & fuel pump install, and dyno tune on 93 octane and E85 to illustrate the gains and get excellent final numbers on a hot day.

Wow this car made some big numbers in that Texas heat. 314whp is no joke with only exhaust and untuned. Would really be interested to see the stock baseline as this car look to have picked up 30whp from just the exhaust mods...and don't forget this is an Auto.
Pretty sure he said it was tuned, those were just baseline numbers he was getting before throwing any more parts on the car.

Well I’m assuming because there are almost no long tube headers and are affordable for 370/g37 except for the isr which are so hard to install

So basically e85 isnt really worth it for 10-15hp. You have buy the fuel pump, injectors and then find some place that sells e85.
What’s the purpose of bigger fuel pump and injectors? How do they play a role in increasing hp? I understand what the CAI’s, headers and cat back does with a tune but not the other two mentioned above. Great video!

Have you ever heard of ported manifold give more issues like unevenly ported creates rpm fluctuations or possibly less numbers especially torque? Recently a few people are claiming that if u run HR ported manifolds on VHR u get better numbers than VHR ported manifolds... seems like a bunch of BS to me with that cross swap

What’s the cheapest build for the g37 to get that power 330whp with 93 octane
ISR headers, test pipes, single exit and 3 inch intakes should do the trick.

What does a tuning like that cost....with the 4 different tunes. I have q70 with a 3.7. I only have the mishimoto intake pipes with drop in kn, and a stillen full catback. Thank you....love watching the videos.

I made 305 whp with just axle back top speed exhaust and z1 test pipes stock air boxes 29 whp gain not bad
305whp is pretty good. That axleback flows about the same as stock.

Nope, the cats were replaced with test pipes.

3" intakes and retuning has net us 5-8whpup top and 10-12whp in the midrange/top end.

I know your a busy man, but if you have time can you please let me know about the g37x coupes. I have one and ive raced a bolt on G37 coupe with bolt-ons and top end i beat it. Ive been told the X is bad at top end. Is the X a all around better car to have because you can have that top end power and then the awd lower end rips from the dig??

I’ve had my 370z (2019) for around 3 months now and just installed a tomei cat back exhaust. At the moment I have a stock y pipe and everything else is stock, what do you recommend would be the best headers test pipes and y pipe to get for best increased power?

Do you know what Headers I can use for a 2010 G37x ? I found testpipes, Y-Pipe and Axle back I want (Tomei) I know it needs extensions. But if I’m tuning N/A I really want headers installed .
ISR or PPE longtube headers fit the X platform and has been done multiple times by my clients.
@@admintuning truly appreciate already found it , in stock on IIR website. The car I bought has 189k miles, no CEL, 20.9 MPG stock air boxes. Will see if a high mileage VQ makes power and document the results..
G37 owners… “I got 30 more horsepower!” N54 owners… “I got 100 more horsepower and 150 more feet pounds of torque!”
It’s just crazy how turbocharged cars can increase horsepower so quickly. I will certainly admit that they seem to have issues more frequently though.
N54 cars are still slow stock turbo.

Yes - the only thing different is I would suggest doing ISR longtubes instead.

Cvt is trash. Throw your car in the garage
The Maxima CVT isn't too bad (For a CVT) , but they aren't designed to take large amounts of power.
Personally I would skip the tune on it entirely.

Thing is, the 3.7 Q50 AWD doesnt have compatible headers. I have the ark catback and stillen gen 2 intake, but the only two remaining i see from here are FI RHFCs (high flow cats) and a ported upper intake plenum from Z1. That is all that i see remaining for the car. If i were to go any further, which is unlikely, i would follow your advice and get bigger fuel pump and injectors. But that's it. Why wont someone make headers for the AWD Q50?

I've been watching a bunch of your videos recently and I'm new to these motors.. Do you see much difference in gains of long tube headers vs shortys? At what point would you recommend modifying the fuel system on a NA motor and to what level, assuming E85 is preferred.
Also, I've followed the LS motors for awhile and they run 1 3/4 or 2" headers when running boosted. What's your opinion on the go to exhaust if I plan to run a boosted 370 and possibly a built motor.

- Z1 shorty headers and PPE longtube headers usually make very similar peak power & peak torque. It depends on the brand more than the runner length.
- for E85 you’d have to upgrade the injectors & pump immediately on an NA application.
- my single turbo 370Z with stock headers makes over 800whp. They are not really a restriction at that power level.
- if you want to turbo your car you would need to decide what turbo kit to use before anything else since that will dictate a lot of your exhaust configuration.
