    My only issue with Z1 and their marketing crew is that usually when they sell most of their aftermarket performance parts they do NOT include Clamps and washers etc.
    Folks when u are charging ppl $450 or more for quality parts (as a customer of Z1 and will be for a long time) they can include the hardware for the parts which are being replaced. Im not asking for extras, im saying just those which are being removed...

    • @beaniepanini2127

      For which parts specifically? I recently installed Z1 CAI and they came with all clamps and washers. I want to order more parts in the future so I’m just wondering.

    As someone that is new to this, Do you need to oil these filters like the K&N? I have been looking around and cant find any info saying you should not oil these or should oil them, any info would be a lot of help.

      These are designed to prevent that by sitting higher up unlike some injen and stillen air intakes that sit closer to the ground directly in front of the wheels almost so for long tube intakes it seems to be the most practical location

    • @shawnb50
      @shawnb50 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Go short ram. That way you don’t have to worry about it and the gains should be better in some ways. Plus you don’t have to do anything with the bumper area. Looks cleaner to me and if you can just funnel more air into the engine bay you won’t be missing much I think.

      If not... My best guess would be yes, but on the plus side, virtually every CAI that I've looked into says that they don't need to be cleaned until about 100K miles.

    the spot where the OEM air inlet ducks are. Even removing these, they squeeze the tubes a little. Would this restrict flow in anyway?

    • @MegaHzz
      @MegaHzz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes but very minor, you can grind down the side a little bit to make it fit perfectly but once again it is a very minor squeeze so you won't need to unless you're either OCD or are going for MAX gains aka racecar

    So what do we gain in power like 6hp 😂

    • @POPADIX
      @POPADIX 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the rest of your setup. If you’re running boost then the colder the better. Having said that I’m realizing if you’re boosted or not its still the colder the better. IAT’s are important, especially if you’re living in an area with a hot climate. I’ve seen some cold air intakes give as much as 30+ Hp and I’m no specialist. In fact I’m probably wrong about all of this so definitely fact check me. Hahaha! Love you Z1motorsports, thanks for taking care of us! ;)
