I’m a huge 507 comp fan but I picked up a defender XL and it’s very nice. I put it on the same level as the 507 comp. The glass is a little clearer in the XL. I like the big buttons. But the footprint is DPP which isn’t cool.
why would you care about something that doesnt effect usage vs something that totally changes everything, being taller is a deal breaker for me, I need something that does the job first, then is reliable durable and then the price comes into effect, but battery location doesnt change usage so its the last on the list.
@@Impossibly-Possible WHAT?! Having to remove the optic to change the battery ABSOLUTELY affects usage. You literally have to re zero the optic once you remove it and put it back on....

Where is battery compartment?
It’s internally rechargeable using the include charging cover
I mounted the osight to my Marlin dark 45-70. So far no issues. For me, it was too large (aesthetically) for a pistol
I'll sacrifice the height difference for not having to take off the optic to replace the battery
