I have 4 of these, and I'm looking forward to adding more of them in the future. They are great lights for online meetings when I need a bit more light. They are also fun to set up and change the light pattern.
While the features are neat, the magnet is not strong enough to hold the 3.1oz weight of the bulb. Every time I put it on a smooth vertical metal surface like my bedframe or desk frame, it eventually slides down. Olight really needs to upgrade the magnets.
Cant even create group because they keep disconnecting... had to force close the app like 7-8 time to update firmware and even after the firmware update still disconnect. The app also dont allow to log in using google credential... pressing on the google button does nothing... may be a great product but its a very bad app implementation.
Love the updates and new colors. Almost w as ready to buy some more. But alas, the app still will not stay connected just like the original obulb pro. Better luck, next prototype sold before testing.
Need scroll slider settings for all options to change speed and brightness. If i buy it for someone else, am i required for the warranty? Or is it linked to the box or what?
I use an iPhone SE .. it doesn’t look like the app is fully compatible with this phone .. for example under the festive tab I can’t select phantom purple color ?? It’s a bummer
I agree. The connectivity between the app and bulbs is half-baked. Not only do they disconnect from the app, the bulbs do not remember the custom light selection made in the app.
I was hoping for a bit more from this video. This was basically just a plug for the product and a demonstration of the modes. It should have started on how to install one or multiples to the app first.. Then the upgrade and whether one can do more than one at once. Actually the only thing I learned was that there was an upgrade, which was easy to install the first two times. The third installation seemed to hang a bit, then proceeded to work. Although one can manually use some of the modes, the demonstrated modes do not all work unless one has synchronized the Sphere to the Olight App first. So that step was skipped. I really wanted to know how to create a GROUP! I can only imagine that Sean's app is not working any better than mine. It would have been helpful to know whether it was working or not, and how it should work. Actually even if it is working, it does not seem to be set up properly. One should pick create group, name group, then choose which devices (such as which Obulbs) to add to the group. Instead, as I learned from a tip from someone, you have to edit one of the Obulbs and then create a group from there. It seems that there might have been an update as I have gotten further along than previously. Now I am on a page with Cancel at the very top left. Then a centered "Create Group." with an explanatory subheading [i Devices in the same group can be controlled together.] Then a heading on the left side down a bit, "Devices to be Added." Under that is a list of my three Spheres with a green plus sign next to each one. But there is no choice to go ahead and create group. Grayed out to the far right from "Devices to be Added," is the word "Filtered" with a right directional carat next to it, "> " If you tap it it opens a popup which consists of X Filter Devices Reset, A grayed out No Room and at the bottom a grayed out bar with OK (1). If you tap OK it just goes back to the list page. Very frustrating. No that is not a page, it is how I feel after proceeding in an arcane fashion and promptly getting nowhere. The App does seem to have some glitches too, popping up spurious messages about no connection and such, or whatever the wordings are. Part of that may be changes to the phones operating system, in my case going to iOS 18.0.1, which might impact the functionality of the app. It might also be nice to mention which Olight related Apps are still extant and which are need to work what. For example Obulb Pro is the name of the App to work those Obulbs identified as "Obulb Pro." Since this is different than it was previously, according to an instructional video, that would be good to know. I also have Obulb Hub. Lastly, I would appreciate a candle mode with slowly flickering warm light. Fireplace mode just is not the same.
The only thing I found great for this Sphere is being a pumpkin light to light up fake pumpkins. I get disconnections with the app, that requires Location service to use Bluetooth, and I can't turn on more then one at a time. I am refunding the rest of these keeping one, after IT also gets RMA'd as it is the wrong serial number of the box it came in. Waste of $.
They should make the app available for a Laptop as I just don't have a mobile phone. I have 1 sphere but I am limited as to what I can do with it. I can play music from my Laptop to my Olatntern Music so the Blue Tooth works. I just need software to run on here - how hard is that to achieve?
I just received my order of 4. The app connectivity is horrible. Finding out how to create a group is not user friendly at all. I am sitting next to all 4 and they drop randomly. When i placed them around my 15x15ft living room NOT ONE would connect. Think im going to be returning them. They appear to made well and are bright but the headache with operation is not worth it at all.

Lolol the reasonings for buying these lights is so funny to hear you say lol. You kinda say the same thing about all the lights. But then again I’m sure you are forced to say half these statements as your word don’t seem genuine with ur expression or body language.. Tis entertaining/cringe

I wish there was a way to slow down the speed of the lights. Some of them are cool, but they're too fast to be relaxing.
Appreciate the feedback! Great idea!
Agreed!
And if you make a 25’ string light that has the magnetic charge disc every 12” one wouldn’t have to take them down to charge
And a solar connection end so the magnetic string sphere holder could be powered by a 100w or smaller panel
I love the new Zombie setting…one of my new faves!
The ball is very beautiful and versatile ☺️👍🏻

Olight really needs to upgrade the magnets.
Like these so much I bought 6 of them and referenced for a party even place too.
Pretty cool light!!!
Love my Sphere. Well worth the £20!👍🏻
I just got two of them and will be getting more for gifts!
Looks great !

Brightness level needs to dim lower please
You can dim the modes by holding down the button when it is in the mode you want.
@@RonSpilker even on the lowest setting in the app it’s still to bright sometimes.

I agree. The connectivity between the app and bulbs is half-baked. Not only do they disconnect from the app, the bulbs do not remember the custom light selection made in the app.
It wasn't fixed in this new version of the firmware of the app?
This was fixed in the latest firmware update.
@@olightworldI disagree, I installed the update to all of them individually, which went well but the same exact disconnect symptoms still happen.
