@@olightworld The flashlight broke down after the two-year warranty period. Reply with the service - post-warranty repair is impossible! Premium product. buhaha Olight Archer 120 dollars!!
I have 4 of these, and I'm looking forward to adding more of them in the future. They are great lights for online meetings when I need a bit more light. They are also fun to set up and change the light pattern.
While the features are neat, the magnet is not strong enough to hold the 3.1oz weight of the bulb. Every time I put it on a smooth vertical metal surface like my bedframe or desk frame, it eventually slides down. Olight really needs to upgrade the magnets.
I can tell you what it doesn’t do. It doesn’t stick to a fridge like every other oBulb. It doesn’t stick to metal vertical surfaces and hold its own weight. It doesn’t orientate when turned. The app does not orientate on an iPad. The app is slow and you cannot access all the light features because the app won’t let you scroll and choose. If you are lucky like me yours will also arrive with two nice scratches on the clear plastic right out of the box. Oh lest I forget. The proprietary magnetic charging lead use to have a nice aluminum blue cover. It is now all plastic. Here’s some advice about products. If it’s not broke don’t fix it. Happy Holidays. I also did not receive the holiday stickers with my order.
Cant even create group because they keep disconnecting... had to force close the app like 7-8 time to update firmware and even after the firmware update still disconnect. The app also dont allow to log in using google credential... pressing on the google button does nothing... may be a great product but its a very bad app implementation.
Why is the default "white" mode orange? It's not like the light is not able to produce a cool white light, which can be done using the color wheel. And the app doesn't allow customizing the settings that you could cycle between using the physical button when not connected to the app. After setting the color wheel to the desired color, you can't cycle through that same color again when not connected to the app.
They should make the app available for a Laptop as I just don't have a mobile phone. I have 1 sphere but I am limited as to what I can do with it. I can play music from my Laptop to my Olatntern Music so the Blue Tooth works. I just need software to run on here - how hard is that to achieve?
I agree. The connectivity between the app and bulbs is half-baked. Not only do they disconnect from the app, the bulbs do not remember the custom light selection made in the app.
I was hoping for a bit more from this video. This was basically just a plug for the product and a demonstration of the modes. It should have started on how to install one or multiples to the app first.. Then the upgrade and whether one can do more than one at once. Actually the only thing I learned was that there was an upgrade, which was easy to install the first two times. The third installation seemed to hang a bit, then proceeded to work. Although one can manually use some of the modes, the demonstrated modes do not all work unless one has synchronized the Sphere to the Olight App first. So that step was skipped. I really wanted to know how to create a GROUP! I can only imagine that Sean's app is not working any better than mine. It would have been helpful to know whether it was working or not, and how it should work. Actually even if it is working, it does not seem to be set up properly. One should pick create group, name group, then choose which devices (such as which Obulbs) to add to the group. Instead, as I learned from a tip from someone, you have to edit one of the Obulbs and then create a group from there. It seems that there might have been an update as I have gotten further along than previously. Now I am on a page with Cancel at the very top left. Then a centered "Create Group." with an explanatory subheading [i Devices in the same group can be controlled together.] Then a heading on the left side down a bit, "Devices to be Added." Under that is a list of my three Spheres with a green plus sign next to each one. But there is no choice to go ahead and create group. Grayed out to the far right from "Devices to be Added," is the word "Filtered" with a right directional carat next to it, "> " If you tap it it opens a popup which consists of X Filter Devices Reset, A grayed out No Room and at the bottom a grayed out bar with OK (1). If you tap OK it just goes back to the list page. Very frustrating. No that is not a page, it is how I feel after proceeding in an arcane fashion and promptly getting nowhere. The App does seem to have some glitches too, popping up spurious messages about no connection and such, or whatever the wordings are. Part of that may be changes to the phones operating system, in my case going to iOS 18.0.1, which might impact the functionality of the app. It might also be nice to mention which Olight related Apps are still extant and which are need to work what. For example Obulb Pro is the name of the App to work those Obulbs identified as "Obulb Pro." Since this is different than it was previously, according to an instructional video, that would be good to know. I also have Obulb Hub. Lastly, I would appreciate a candle mode with slowly flickering warm light. Fireplace mode just is not the same.
oh its a decoration. i was hoping for it to be a work light. that wouldve been great. a small, bright ball that projects light 360 so i can light up an aircraft fuel tank or cargo area for work or something.
I just received my order of 4. The app connectivity is horrible. Finding out how to create a group is not user friendly at all. I am sitting next to all 4 and they drop randomly. When i placed them around my 15x15ft living room NOT ONE would connect. Think im going to be returning them. They appear to made well and are bright but the headache with operation is not worth it at all.
I use an iPhone SE .. it doesn’t look like the app is fully compatible with this phone .. for example under the festive tab I can’t select phantom purple color ?? It’s a bummer
Need scroll slider settings for all options to change speed and brightness. If i buy it for someone else, am i required for the warranty? Or is it linked to the box or what?
Love the updates and new colors. Almost w as ready to buy some more. But alas, the app still will not stay connected just like the original obulb pro. Better luck, next prototype sold before testing.
@olight there’s a lot of great suggestions to make the light/app better. I +1 on make light brightness dimmer on the 1-5% please. Group needs to work. I’m using this for a Ray-Ban commercial and the 4 I bought for the shoot … 1 went bad and I’m filming Nov 7. I hope the 1 light makes it
The obulb is better. The push is harder on the sphere. You have to push it hard. And, to turn it off the double push is very difficult. The obulb takes no effort to change modes with a push.
Everyone…I MEAN EVERYONE has complained about the App…Please Please Please LISTEN TO YOUR customers!!! This is a nice product that people like…but would absolutely love it if you would just fix the app to work seamlessly and not be glitching. PLEASE!!!
Lolol the reasonings for buying these lights is so funny to hear you say lol. You kinda say the same thing about all the lights. But then again I’m sure you are forced to say half these statements as your word don’t seem genuine with ur expression or body language.. Tis entertaining/cringe
The app keeps on acting funny. once I create a group it will only control a few sphere's at a time. so if i have four connected it will only control three at a time. other than that one of my best buys from olight.
This is a snazzy looking product......but why would anyone want one or more? I see people with the lights in the marketing video, which of course is a sales pitch, but I can't imagine anyone doing what you show in that video. What are practical uses for the light? How would I use these on a film set? What unique problems can they solve? You are presenting absolutely none of this. You are providing no reason to need/want these. Address those things and you will get a lot more interest. ...and I have zero training in marketing. I just know what gets my attention, and what motivates me to be interested in a product.
I wish there was a way to slow down the speed of the lights. Some of them are cool, but they're too fast to be relaxing.
Appreciate the feedback! Great idea!
Agreed!
And if you make a 25’ string light that has the magnetic charge disc every 12” one wouldn’t have to take them down to charge
And a solar connection end so the magnetic string sphere holder could be powered by a 100w or smaller panel

Where do I get the hanging hooks for a stringer?

Um… I went to Jack in the Box and got a NOT nice lunch for $20 the other day. This is definitely worth more than that unpleasantness
I'd love to have a timer on the app (cut on daily at a certain time for a certain ammount of time)
Can you use it in home assistant?
Pretty cool light!!!
Waterproof, in the Bath or in a Pool?
I need that charging pad and hooks
Insane for 15-20$ ❤
I just got two of them and will be getting more for gifts!
Can it synk with my Amazon fire tablet
Like these so much I bought 6 of them and referenced for a party even place too.
I love mine need to get more for sure
Favorite part is that they float and has the magnet too
Thank you!

Brightness level needs to dim lower please
You can dim the modes by holding down the button when it is in the mode you want.
@@RonSpilker even on the lowest setting in the app it’s still to bright sometimes.

I agree. The connectivity between the app and bulbs is half-baked. Not only do they disconnect from the app, the bulbs do not remember the custom light selection made in the app.
This was fixed in the latest firmware update.
@@olightworldI disagree, I installed the update to all of them individually, which went well but the same exact disconnect symptoms still happen.
