On the Nesting part, you can nest almost infinitely, that means if you are cutting Primitive A, with Primitive B, you can go and do a nest on Primitive B with Primitive C
yep I freaking love this addon, SDF let's me make shapes so much faster and more complex than I can do with poly modeling cause this feels more intuitive for me like clay. My biggest wish is that the primitives could support stuff like arrays so I could cut even more time
I'm not sure what the advantage of this is vs traditional sculpting mode. Is it that you can keep the same detail density everywhere without ever having to retopologize anything? If so, then it sounds cool!
Hi Hubert, I can't seem to use S to scale the SDF objects like what you did, and having to use the Modal Operator Gizmo to scale, instead using the keyboard shortcut. I'm quite sure the Options > Affect Only are all turned off. Lock Scale also turned off. G and R works fine. Anything that I might have missed? Thanks!
@@hubertkrzykalski Yes, it works for the ordinary meshes (non-SDF) objects. What shortcuts do you use to scale the SDF? I mean if I click the Transform gizmo tool, the full gizmo would appear as 2 boxes icons for each axis. When I hover over those they said it’s a Modal Operator.
@@sesame.lettuce You should message the creator of CSDF, @JohnKazArt on twitter,it seems like code bug, i would love to help but this seems like outside of my scope
@@hubertkrzykalski Oh! Thank you very much for checking it. Yes I've emailed them a week ago but sadly haven't heard any reply. Thank you for your responses, I really appreciate it!
"ConjureSDF currently only supports 3.3.x (any version of 3.3) Because the rendering system it uses has been deprecated in later versions. An update to support 4.0+ is planned (as part of Alpha, so free)" from official Conjure's Discord
It's worth every penny. The workflow I still use is a voxel + smooth + decimate modifiers in that order. keep the voxel at .01 and smooth a 50 and decimate at .03. Do your modeling as normal and increase voxel size if you want a tighter mesh. Conjure for some reason can handle millions of poly's (at least on my system) Also check out MagicalCSG.
Honestly, cant say I tried other ones. I have seen videos about them online and they lack many features. Conjure isnt perfect either, although it has constant support from the developer, who constantly improves it daily.
@@hubertkrzykalski ive tried pretty much all of them minus ones for houdini, and autodesk. the free ones for blender from like higgsas or more ancient ones are way too clunky and slow standalone software like magicasdf, clavicula or adobe modeler is always too raw and with new ui thats clunky and not quick to integrate into the usual software. like magica exports only STL. cad stuff is cad stuff - fusion360 or lighter artsy stuff like moi and plasticity - good direction if you are starting since that industry will never die. but working inside blender with familiar scripting, usual tools and transforms and constraint modifiers is fkn awesome even with this alpha for 40 bazingas
They are planned for the future. You could duplicate a primitive(Shift+D) and repeat the last action a few times(Shift+R). That said this solution is destructive, once done there is no changing.

Modifier support is on the way, it is just a matter of time. Glad you like it as well!

Thanks Machin3!
meshes to sdf would be pretty cool too i think

Did the scale shortcut work before installation of Conjure addon?

more ConjureSDF! yeess
ive the 3.3.17 but for some reason i cant install moderGL in the addon preferences, any idea why?
Make sure to update Conjure to version v0.1.6 and if that doesn't work please email conjuresdf@gmail.com
@@hubertkrzykalski eventually it worked:) would be cool if it can be used in 4.2version too... like why 3.3 thats a bit random, but great addon!

@@hubertkrzykalski ok, cool, thx!
Nice explanation, saved me lot of time!
Great tool! Is there a way to turn your own model to CSDF object? Just for speeding up the modeling process
For now, no. It is planned for the future, although the performance from it will be way worse than SDF primitives
is there anyway to clone a primitive?
shift+d
will buy it for sure when you bring to 4.1+ in the future
Great to hear that, 4.0+ will take few months to get there
@@hubertkrzykalski also will wait 4.0+, great addon

Insane
Thanks this is amazing!
Nice overview, it actually seems less buggy than Adobe modeller!
I haven't had many bugs with Modeller myself, except for missing many features.
Can you create high polies for baking with the sdf addon, or is it a unique object type?
Yes, you can convert your CSDF mesh into polygonal mesh. As shown at 26:00.
If it can be turned into a sdf with a grid , Boolean can reduce the number of steps
what is the improvement of this SDF plugin over the other free ones on the net?
its better

Is it possible to convert a normal mesh into SDF? (Not sdf to mesh)
Not yet, it is planned for the future, but the performance on it is quite bad from what i have heard
Lets go man!
God Tier
For some reason i get no shading when I switch to Conjure Vision. :( Can anyone help?
Make sure to be on 3.3 version of blender
@@hubertkrzykalski Thanks! It work! but the Modern GL install option does nothing, and now I can't generate the mesh :D
I have only a grey box after changing mode to rendered
same.. it's like invisbile to me
Make sure you use Blender 3.3, another versions break the addon for now, and if the issue still persists, email conjuresdf@gmail.com

how make radial array/mirror?

Blender 3.3 aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa wtffffffff
4.0 v please
