You don't need to go with eagle heads you can port and polish and get bigger valves on a preeagle. And then you can push more boost... since the eagle heads raise the compression on a preeagle engine.

The hellcat motor and transmission alone I've seen going for 17k so now you need the brakes, differential wiring harness, tune so that option will be way more money than just building your 5.7
Not saying the 300 is completely safe, but while these ignorant mfs are snatching chargers and challengers off the street, no one is really looking at a gen 1 300. Unassuming and better looking, its a win/win to go with a 300.

The bottom ends are strong, it’s just the have really tight ring gap that doesn’t like the heat from boost.
I love the newer generation Hellcats and SRTs, but I’d take an ‘08 Charger Daytona or an ‘08 SRT-8 300C any day.
