How Fast is the Chrysler 300? -- Top Speed Video - Every Engine Shown (2005-2023 V6, Diesel, & V8s)

- Today's video is going to show the top speed of every single Chrysler 300 model since its return in 2005 (2.7L V6, 3.5L V6, 3.6L V6, 3.0L CRD V6, 5.7L V8 Pre-Eagle and Eagle, 6.1L V8, and 6.4L V8 Hemi engines) done slowest to fastest. I’ve obtained footage of each vehicle doing a top speed acceleration. I’ll also add the official stats for each both with and without taking into account the governor which is electronically limited to match the tire capability the car came with.

My Chinese car is better than dodge or Chrysler it has a really cool design, consumes less fuel and has never had such problems with automatic windows

It's a shame Chrysler didn't keep the 300 SRT around until the end. Lots of missed opportunities, and not just for Chrysler.
The worst is the car barely received any updates either... even the facelift version didn't change much
They basically did with the final edition. Its a 6.4 srt motor
@cheeko_914 Indeed they did. I was thinking if Chrysler had kept the 300 SRT in their catalog for the North American market past 2014. Sort of build one for whoever asks, and maybe through word of mouth, and YT videos, the model would have seen a resurgence in purchases.
@@williamrusso0711gen 3 changed a bit in the front end actually and the dash was updated as well, and in all honesty the gen 3 looks great and i don’t see any needed interior updates
@@cris_261 The thing is though they should have like kept the SRT model after facelift already. I mean most car enthusiasts or fans like to drive in the high performance. This is another major reason why the sales are poor & for some reason for the final year model, they literally should have done a special Hellcat version to bid farewell to the car

Yep...top speed is 140...WITH the limiter. It can go faster.
Drag limit is a lie on the 2023. Its electronically limited to 160. I have one and the car had more rmp to go when hitting 160.
Same with my 5.7 i could be going 100+ cruising and it would shift to six and just limp when it gets to 130. So imagine shifting thru 7-8.

Seems kind of crazy to me driving at those speeds with one hand on the wheel one hand on the camera/cellphone and eyes darting between road and camera/cellphone screen to keep it centered on the dash. But OK. Entertaining video series!
I've been at around 140ish and never really wanted to go further. That is until the other day. I hit 160 in it and was like, i think that's enough. Borderline category 4 tornado speeds. My head still hurts to be honest.
I just bought a brand new final 300C 23’ and that 392 sounds so good and really should’ve been offered 15-22, I would’ve loved a Hellcat version and would’ve been one of the first to order if it was available. It’s crazy how they electronically limited it to just 160 when the SRT from 12-14’ had 3 less gears and 15 less HP & was drag limited 🤷🏾♂️

@@charlessynowiec3876 absolutely! The only thing that sounds better is my Redeye. This car is the perfect road trip car and super comfortable, even has the Hellcat seats! Basically a Scat Pack in a tuxedo lol
@@LSp8 it really is. leather dash and carbon pieces. only things i wish they allowed: options to change color of seatbelts, add suede headliner and the alcantara inserts for the seats. other than that, they’re mint

The 2023 300C has a limiter on it at 160. It is not drag limited to 160 as the earlier ones with less power and gears broke 170
My 2012 5.7 awd 300s only got up to 129 and the governor kicked in, couldn't even get 131, I did get high performance tires rated up to 168, I would love to get a tune and take off the governor
Rwd's are faster than awd's naturally
Tunes dont always take off the limiter. Most raise it. Again, for legal liability reason. Every 97-04 Dakota was limited to 98mph for tires, the Superchips limiter raises it to 114. Just shy under that 118mph T rating which the last set of Wranglers I had on it were T rated.
i have a 2016 300s v6 awd and i’ve got it up to 131 stock before putting any mods.

@@charlessynowiec3876 oh okay yeah just did a quick google search it comes with a 5spd but regardless its still a 5.7 it should push more than 129 even with the limiter.

Used to drive for dollar rent a car in 2005 an top out the Chrysler 300 3.5 v6 got it about 147 mph so I guess the dollar rental had no limiter 😂😂
2.7 v6 2005 to 130-135 just one time ( families not my daily mine's a 60's charger, anyways i try not to drive gramps/cop-type car's as i get into trouble/stupidity with them ) nowadays i wouldn't go past 60-90mph as it's got a wreck'd/rebuild history from getting rear-ended sitting at a light as the driver was texting/distracted and 50mph~slammer

My dads 300c had a tough time keeping the rear window up. Brand new car too.
The 3.6L's were tested in sport mode which prevents the transmission from shifting into 8th gear. I'd like to see it tested in normal mode.
I can confirm a stock '06 300C is speed limited to 126 mph.

Yes...just look for one that was adult owned and maintained and you will have a great car.
@LURLINE_ yes I own 2 3.6l and 5.7 both 3.6 are reliable long as you do regular maintenance and the 5.7 is too
any feedback on a 2011 chrysler 300c?
I know from experience that a 2020 v6 can only go 131. It still had more to go. Wouldn't Rev past 6500 once I hit 131. Dang governers

2020 300s v8 fastest before the cut has always been around 130 ish
quick exclaimer here, european models DID have limiters, generally at 250 km/h or 155mp/h, since we don't use such a convolutedly pointless tiresystem, the factory usually puts on the best tire for the job and for best specs right from the factorywith the limiter simply because that is the speed legal limit on the fastest limi ted sections of the autobahn.
225 km/h- 2006 year stock diesel engine and 245/45/20 tyres.

@paulvolkmann2979 just fyi, the Motown Edition is no different to any other V6 with the 8-speed. There aren’t any power upgrades on the car, it’s the identical engine and performance to the 3.6L 8-speed shown in the video.
After what distances for those top speed runs? Over a mile, 2 miles or half the county? Between gearing and if its an older model with a 4 or 5spd auto... FYI unlimited theoretical top speed of my Dakota is 202mph at 6000rpm in 5th with the 3.55 gear. Where 2nd runs out at 71mph at 5400rpm, stock governor hit at 98mph. Though at the time took roughly a mile to hit that due to the long gearing.

Its not that theyre slow, they just arent set up from the factory for acceleration. Theyre set up for daily driving.
The Challenger Hellcat Redeye, CTS-V, BMW M Series, Mercedes AMGs, most things Porsche, and other stock vehicles are pretty close in terms of acceleration to Tesla’s fastest model, the Plaid S. But if you like driving a car that looks like it’s pregnant or a mini van crossover, it’s your prerogative. God damn they’re ugly.
I wanted the 300 but after all the problems I'm currently dealing with regarding the 200. I would never buy or deal with a Chrysler vehicle ever again

300's are solid/reliable and easy to work on.
@ericbryant796 So you say... I've put so much damn money into this 200. Then my lady is steady saying let's keep it let's keep it. I should've traded it in years ago. But she like where else can you find a reliable car for 1500. Yeah right reliable my ass. Over the last year I've had to get this replaced, that replaced. She doesn't work, I do, so there's no money left over hardly benadryl in putting it into this damn car. So I'm very skeptical about the 300 now
