    One mistake I notice I do sometimes is looking at the pad (downward) when I should be looking at the overall target (neck, chest, shoulder area), might be worth mentioning.
    Excited to get the rest of the low kick tutorials from the low kick king himself!

    Joe, I have a fear of getting checked with the knee in sparring it has happened a few times now. Please make video about getting checked and working around that. Thanks.

      Good question

    • @brownsey1
      @brownsey1 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I'm exactly the same. Hurt it originally from a check where I caught the knee. Have subsequently been out for quite a while, but then came back and fecking pad work blew it out again when I threw a sloppy kick while tired that caught the edge of the pad.

      BloodShedda to not get checked u have to time it right so that ur opponent can't check it, that's the whole point of the exit/enter lowkick vids joe has made

    • @BloodShedda
      @BloodShedda 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wish timing was the only problem. I've sparred with newbs that randomly aim their knee at my kicking leg.

    Love the leg kicks,didn't know so many versions of it me personally just normally go for baseball bat one,I like the savate style leg kicks stomp on knee sidekick brilliant chasse bas,do you actually think axe kicks or hook kicks good option to leg,as in my karate gym guy uses axe kick to thigh a lot seems to work hurt people ??

    Hi, can someone help me with this or maybe know where i am going wrong?
    Basically i can throw left roundhouse kicks all day with no pain in my shin and it lands better on the pads and in sparring. But my right roundhouse kick, while more powerful causes pain in my shin. I often have bruises and lumps on my right shin but my left shin will be completely fine. Anyone got any ideas? Is this just a natural thing or i am kicking incorrectly?

    Great tutorial, can you show us how to set up a calf kick or high ankle kick. Like the one that Eric Silvia landed on nordine taleb and made his foot go numb.

      Yeap, as Mariusz said, keep kicking the heavybag, when I was 13 my first kru used to make me do drills of 100 low kicks, 50 body kicks and 25 high kicks on each leg, you can also do like 200 body kicks or low kicks if all you want is conditioning.

    I was always taught that every time you kick the foot that's planted must have the heel raised and the heel turn to create torque., and the foot that's planted never stays flat ?

    • @cHK91129
      @cHK91129 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He explain 3 ways, 2 planted and 1 turning, depends what you want to do (sorry my bad english). The third one is more a muay thai low kick with full power.
