Thank you so much for these videos I'm been learning alot as I am a sort fighter and it's help keep me motivated until I can afford to come back to the gym Keep up the good work
I'm happy you find the videos helpful. Oh, I sometimes forget to mention, but I also have a Facebook group called Quake Combat. If you want to connect with other like minded martial artists, you should join. I made it so people have another resource to post questions or helpful links, and to discuss topics that I may not have created a video for yet.
Coach - can you demonstrate a Savate kick? Like a situational demo if you are using it in a street fight vs the ring. A Savate fighter took 2nd place in UFC 1 - very effective style that knocks teeth out.
Thanks. I was given the opportunity this season on Alex's team, but it would have been too much time away from my family. Had been away for a month already and then would have to go back to America 2 days after quarantine to do another month for the show AND another 2 week quarantine.
@@bradquakeriddell Absolutely. You guys have been busy last few years. Would be nice for you to be with the family more. Hope you get the time you deserve. Absolute work horse! Looking forward to your upcoming battle. You got awesome leadership skills champ. Would love for the World to see it. God bless mate
IS IT POSSIBLE TO GIVE ROUDHOUSE LIKE THAI BOXER WITHOUT STANDING ON THE BALL OF THE FOOT , LIKE THAI DO :BUT KEEP THE SUPPORTIVE FOOT ALL FLAT , BUT ACHIEVE THE SAME POWER OF THE THAI ?
I actually had the same issue. My kicking leg used to flop back down, which would result in not only a slower reset but also, my feet would land too narrow, which made bridging or any 2nd phase attack difficult. Brad helped me with this, cleaning my kick up, and making it faster overall. A video on this would probably be very helpful to others too.
Hey there Quake. If I may make a suggestion. Good explanation but when I see your kicks, I notice that your toes are not up. When giving a low kick, make sure your toes are upward. The muscles on your shin are hardened and it's less painful. The first two clips you used are with Nieky Holzken and Ernesto Hoost (my old trainer). Both are kicking with the toes up.
Living next to the Netherlands I never heard about the Dutch style low kick - Thanks for sharing your knowledge

Did Anderson Silva broke his Tibia while landing the Dutch Style low Kick?
I'll have to take a look and get back to you. I don't recall offhand.
@@bradquakeriddell Thank you for your response. This is the footage of the fight that I was referring to. th-cam.com/video/KPVTPW5INyE/w-d-xo.html
The Defensive kick seems to be used like a Check Hook in boxing.

can you do a video on how to get your leg back into your stance faster after kicking

I will add this to our list of videos to make.
Nice!
Thanks 😊
Nice
If i ain't Dutch it ain't much .... Greets from The Netherlands ..
🔥
This is confusing. The “Thai” low kick a la Ernesto Hoost, is a “Dutch” style low kick. The Thai’s do it slightly differently.

Does anyone notice many fighters broke their shin bones from the Dutch style low kick? Please advise. Anyway great video 🙏🏼

Very nice. Thank you for that 👍🏻
