Perfectly explained, cleanly executed, possible repairs to the bodywork kept in mind, attention paid to the weight of the insulation. It takes a lot of preparation and thinking until your brain smokes to explain something in such detail. Excellent video, Nathan!
Hey bud thank you really appreciate the kind words 🙏 I do my best to explain the reasons behind why I do things as sometimes it helps. I do do a lot of thinking off camera and my brain has definitely let out a puff or smoke or 2. Thanks again 👍

The build process on each video just keeps getting better and better…. Well done mate… you should be very proud of your builds. Like i keep saying this proper what you call “built, not bought” 👍🏾
Hey scorcha sorry for the delay mate, thank you 🙏 I take a while doing the jobs on the van but I think about stuff in between so I don’t wish I’d done it differently after. I’m very proud of this and the caddy I put everything I know into them and really appreciate the kind words 🙏👍👍

That’s a fantastic job, my converted van doesn’t have insulation and I don’t think they bothered with additional sound deadening either 🤦🏻♂️. That’s a lot of work but you made it look straightforward- completely with you about the tidy space, with your workmanship looking so neat and tidy too that enough to spur you on to get it done. Love it. A bit overboard on the application of sound deadening but hope you used heat proof spray contact glue otherwise in hot summers the roof and wall coverings will release and sag.
Hey bud thank you I done the exact same in my caddy and it’s stayed in place, I could have definitely used abit less of the deadening 👍 I guess I got abit carried away.
If my memory serves me well the caravelle side step is deeper/higher and fills the gap that is created by the raised ply floor if you want a more factory finish at the sliding door
I wonder how much difference, that would make if you left the mute mats off, I mean if only the insulation would produce a good sound deadening??? Because I have seen in music studios people using only the insulation material as sound proofing.
Great video full of very useful information, nicely explained and made me feel i could do this myself, could you please tell me where you got the carpet from as i love the colour. Thanks alot Steve
Hey Steve thank you really appreciate that 👍 I do my best to simplify jobs. I’ll add the link to the bits I used in the video description. Thanks again Nathan
I did sheep wool, but you I know if i ever have to took the roof down - going to add your underlay in there - as its easier to do and you wont miss any spots
B&Q Diall range is a range from their sister company in France, Castorama, and it’s a made up brand name they chose to make it sound unique. They do the same with their UK kitchen ranges called Cook and Lewis which was a made up name to sound like a real quality product but it’s just B&Q’s own brand.
Watched all your videos, the t5 videos are really helping me with my t5. A big thank you for uploading them, Would you be able to cover how you fitted the rear seats to the floor in more detail. You haven’t covered that in any of your videos, did you fit brackets or something under the van to bolt them to, Thanks 👍
Hey Jamie thank you mate appreciate that 👍 I literally just drilled holes and bolted them through the floor with big washers nothing fancy, I did use m12 high tensile bolts so they ain’t going anywhere 👍
@@YTDTETV thanks for the reply, would that pass a mot like that, I’m looking to put rear seats in mine but keep getting told I need to fit extra plates that are bolted to the subframe. All the best 👍👍
@@jamieharris9619 yes I’m confident it would go through an mot, I had a sheet of 4mm steel plate so I cut it into squares and drilled hole in the middle to use as washers 👍
hi, the polo interior light doesnt have the fixing holes to the van ceiling. would i be right thinking you just didnt bother with the fixings, as there isnt any places in the back of the polo light to drill fixing holes? as you can guess im copying this mod
Thanks bud you can definitely put some under the floor but I feel that the wood dampens the sound loads so didn’t think it needed it but I guess it would only improve it more 👍👍

Thank you, if you look on eBay and search for van vapour barrier you should see the same stuff it’s just a bubble wrap but with a foil type covering 👍
looking fresh mate 👌👌👌
I wonder how much difference, that would make if you left the mute mats off, I mean if only the insulation would produce a good sound deadening??? Because I have seen in music studios people using only the insulation material as sound proofing.
Takk!
Thank you francis always appreciates mate thank you 🙏
Looks amazing mate. 👍
Thanks Garry really appreciate that mate 👍
Coming together very Nicely
Thanks Stuart 👍

Great video full of very useful information, nicely explained and made me feel i could do this myself, could you please tell me where you got the carpet from as i love the colour.
Thanks alot Steve
Hey Steve thank you really appreciate that 👍 I do my best to simplify jobs. I’ll add the link to the bits I used in the video description. Thanks again
Nathan
I did sheep wool, but you I know if i ever have to took the roof down - going to add your underlay in there - as its easier to do and you wont miss any spots
Very nice I bet that cosy in there 😊
Good job, kudos Hermano

Thanks mate appreciate that 👍
B&Q Diall range is a range from their sister company in France, Castorama, and it’s a made up brand name they chose to make it sound unique. They do the same with their UK kitchen ranges called Cook and Lewis which was a made up name to sound like a real quality product but it’s just B&Q’s own brand.
Hey bud never knew that 👍 I normally just use dodo stuff but thought I’d give it a try.
Hey Nathan really am enjoying the videos still watching. I have a question regarding your headliner ply what size board did you get.
looks awesome nice job
Thanks mate 👍👍
Awesome work !👍😀
Thanks mark 👍
Watched all your videos, the t5 videos are really helping me with my t5.
A big thank you for uploading them,
Would you be able to cover how you fitted the rear seats to the floor in more detail. You haven’t covered that in any of your videos, did you fit brackets or something under the van to bolt them to,
Thanks 👍
Great job DTE ur a perfectionist how long did that take u 2do
Hey bud thank you really appreciate that 👍 in between doing a few jobs working I spent a week doing it.
Nice to watch mamy thanks
i feel you with that upside down logo 😂
You don’t want to squash the dial insulation it stops it working. It needs the air gaps for it to work
Hey Steve I never knew that about the insulation but it makes total sense, I only wedged some in the tight area most of it is loose, thanks bud 👍
Mint job, why no sound deadening on the floor?
Thanks bud you can definitely put some under the floor but I feel that the wood dampens the sound loads so didn’t think it needed it but I guess it would only improve it more 👍👍
Top quality as usual 🤙
Thanks AK 🙏👍
Cracking job 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
Hey Ragnar thank you mate 🙏🙏👍
Very nice job.
Thanks Barry 👍👍
How much does a vehicle homologation cost in the UK (since you're transforming a light cargo vehicle into a passenger vehicle)?
Spot on bud😎👍
Looking good pal
Thanks Ben 👍
Should’ve used spray glue to hold the Diall insulation in. Masking tape will release
The tighter you pack and compress the insulation in the less it works. Needs to be as open as possible to keep the air pockets which insulates
I never knew that about the insulation but it makes perfect sense I’ll remember that for the next time 👍
