100% agree about the bryant leather and about the Wilson's had them all and the wilson breaks in faster but get floppy, especially the larger sized out field gloves

how do you compare a hoh 1st base mitt vs a giant 3rd base pp glove. dcts vary, the dctjb is a world of difference between the dctcb. also people have to realize they're not off a conveyor belt and 2 of the exact same models won't necessarily feel the same

Okay I'm going to bite on this. I've played a long time, so I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to forming gloves. I've seen two things people do more frequently these days. One is they put two fingers in the pinky slot and the other is they flare the gloves at the thumb and pinky. I can understand two in the pinky. It does give you a different feel and perhaps a deeper pocket. For the life of me I will never understand the flare. I just can't see any advantage to this. I know players at all levels do it, but I just don't get it. For me it's rolled thumb and pinky, slightly curled middle fingers, and index finger out of the glove. The only thing that varies is how I form the pocket based on how the glove in naturally made to close. Anyone got an justification for the flare?

Tarkus I the flare is partially for personal style/making your glove unique to you... and the other aspect of a flared glove is to give the glove a wider opening to receive the ball... a flared glove is essentially a lacrosse sticks head shape... think of playing lacrosse with a stick head that didnt flare at all but rather was straight/narrow shaped more like a shoe, now consider how much more difficult that narrow shale would be to catch balls in... for players like short and 3rd that get hit a lot of ground balls, a flared glove in theory helps you cover more surface area... to either knock the ball down or scoop it into your glove. Bottom line the flare is here to stay so ya better get use to it, furthermore if you've yet to tryit for yourself... then you def should give it a shot next time you break in a glove.

AWL Ginge i use it for infield as I like the I web but play outfield with an H web so habit comes in and it’s my preference

      It's for outfielder and Infield.

Quite a few players like H web for infield, especially 3rd or short. The pro 200 is a pretty shallow pocket glove, so this particular H web model is for the infield. Of course they make H webs for the outfield but the glove will be designed to form a deeper pocket

And why can’t you use the H-web for IF? I’ve seen them custom on 11.5 size gloves
