I find the found footage technique, unique and impressive if done well. I know many do not have the patience for this relatively new shooting style, but I believe that if you watch paranormal activity, without bias, you may come to enjoy it. I've seen the first 3 and I think they were genuinely scary can't wait to see 4 and 5. :)
I honestly don't get why people find the paranormal activity movies bad, I watched the first movie a couple of days ago and it scared the crap out of me. I think the acting is also really good (at least in that one), and I think it looks really real with those homevideo camera's.

To my understanding, most of our favorite horror films has had more than 5 films. -Nightmare on Elm Street -Halloween -Friday the 13th -Hellraiser -Saw -Childs Play I really enjoy these kind of film and it's always something to look forward to when they have sequels. So don't watch it if you're not interested and just let the people who want to watch it ;)

The critics say that this movie lacks tension because they show the demon. I disagree. The REAL reason why it lacked tension is because of how weak the characters were and the whole movie ended being confusing as $#!t.
The 6th film ruined the whole franchise. Shouldn't add any effects in the film. I watched it and when I saw the effects I was like "Oh no they ruined it". I just wish they keep it original like the first one.

Misan Because the scary part is most of the time only based on cheap jumpscares wich gets really boring and repetetiv after a couple of times , and the camera effect looks just unrealistic because its a cheap overlay used by every other 0815 movie out there to make stuff look more realistic but its just dumb. Theres way better FREE short movies on youtube wich can scare the shit out of you on a complete other level, and i expected PA to be something like this, but when i watched the first and second movie I realised it was just a boring piece of shit with small jumpscares here and there and some ghost /demon story behind.

I'm still a little iffy though, what made Paranormal Activity 1 so terrifying is that they never showed the demon and left all the psychological shit it did to an individual's imagination. I'm not sure if revealing the demon is that great of an idea.
I liked the movie. I thought it moved faster than the other Paranormal Activity movies, and I was scared a few times. Something I didn't like was how they started to give Toby a face. The scariest thing varies from person to person. Your mind fills in the gaps and imagines something that actually terrifies you. I also like how the whole plot comes together in this movie. I would rate this 7.3/10 which is abnormally high for a Paranormal Activity movie.

One of the reasons why the PA franchise was so successful was because of the mystery of the storyline. Each instalment would give answers but raise even more questions and that’s what I loved about the movies. However, The ghost dimension really messed it all up. It tried to answer all the questions but failed by finding a cheap way to tighten loose ends. The marked ones set it up to be as if the witches were building an army with Toby, but in this one they switched it up and made it about Toby becoming human?? It just got messy. Hopefully with the new PA movie coming out it will go back to the Katie storyline or even the witches storyline.
How do they literally see ghosts on camera, feel the ghosts presence multiple times, see that their daughter is in danger, and watch her bite a priest.. yet they still are like “oh she can sleep alone in her room. We got cameras to keep her safe.” Like what kind of parenting is that?! lol

The one thing I liked about the series, is that the 'demon' remained unseen as they tormented people. I don't know how I feel about suddenly being able to see the ghosts.
I believe spirits or ghosts form in our world when they have been murdered or from injustice. They will stay until who ever killed them pays with their own life. Eye for an eye, Life for a life. Then the spirits will leave. Why they are haunting me I believe is due to spiritual confusion at times in my life.

I believe spirits or ghosts form in our world when they have been murdered or from injustice. They will stay until who ever killed them pays with their own life. Eye for an eye, Life for a life. Then the spirits will leave. Why they are haunting me I believe is due to spiritual confusion at times in my life.
