This movie reminds me of a true story about a mannequin in a dress shop in mexico and they say this mannequin is the corpse of the owner's daughter who died in her wedding day by a black widow spider. It's called "la pascualita".
her name is "la pascualita" the mannequin is in chihuahua, mexico. that's where I live. I still get freaked out when I pass by it. it's so human like. freaking creepy.
this is what pisses me off about horrors, there's so much potential, but they fuck it up with cliches. that scene at 1:14 would've been chilling if she just opened her eyes, revealing the contacts, but just smiled. it's genuinly creepy, and stays with you, but instead they went with the typical evil face jump scare, that leaves your head two seconds after you've seen it. also the sensationalising of the victorian era photography is lazy af, another cheap shot. i want to like this, but its just another trope ladled superficial horror.
Me too, when he lifted her head up I was expecting her dead pale eyes to be open looking at him, sending a shiver down your spine. Bu when I ended up being wrong I was reaally disappointed.
110% agree with this. Would've been so much creepier if she opened her eyes and just grinned at him. If they wanted the cliche so bad then they should've made it so that grin happened, then he turns around to run away but then evil jump scare face bride pops up
Whitasaurus :3 Honestly, I was hoping you'd just see her eyes shift over to him. Something small like that that gets your attention, but is so harmless- as in, she hasn't done anything else- that scares you. If she'd done that, it's better because you are scared, but don't know what you should do about it. With how they did it, it's obvious that you shoukd back away and she probably intends to do something. I prefer when you don't know what they might do or when.
Exactly! That's why I'm a big fan of 80s horror and ect it's something about that era of the b horror movies that made them really creepy and interesting, the computer jumpscares are getting ridiculously old

Hebecta was the first Russian film I've ever watched in my life and I hell liked it. You can't fathom out the whole story from the trailer because it's quite baffling. But surely if someone watches the whole film they'll understand the whole thing. It's awesome. This movie is gonna be the reason behind thinking of learning the Russian language and watching more films of this kind. I hope you will enjoy it.
I just screamed and fell down from the bed when the creepy dead bride scared the photographer I literally thought it was coming on me .. and my friends and elder brother burst in laughter

I do not understand what this movie is about from the trailer. Guys photographs the dead, buries a woman alive for seemingly no reason, something is happening with a young woman, she sees a doppelganger? What even is this movie supposed to be about?
maybe the same house where the woman was buried happens to be a wedding gift to the modern young couple. then he ghost possesses the young bride.and so on and so on...cliche in generic horror movies
Idk it reminds me one of an asian horror game which I think was about ghost marriage. The town folks burried women (priestess) alive in a box to ensure that the demons leave their town in peace but the dead women started to haunt them so to appease their spirits they organized ghost marriages and burried other living people with them. Maybe this movie will be about something like this?
people back in the old days are crazy. mutilating bodies just to get that final perfect memorable picture with their dead loved one before burial. look how pissed the ghost of one of the subjects is in the movies even decades after her death.
Angela Nebedum sometimes the death photo was the only picture ever taken of the deceased, photography was too expensive so while it's odd to us it was normal back then.
StacieCatt you DO know that what happened in the movie with the 'death photos' DID happen in REAL life don't you back in whatever time period the first half of the Bride takes place in? look it up online, and you could probably find hundreds of real life 'death photos' similar to the ones used in the Bride movie from that time period online. mutilating corpses of newly dead family members so their living family can have one last 'perfect' picture of them together before the body is buried. you saw what the photographer in the movie did to The Brides body in order to set her up for the photo shoot. thats probably what the real life photographers who took the same kind of pictures back in the old days did to the bodies as they were prepared for that one last picture their families paid for. the only thing I was saying, is that IF what happened in the movie when the angry spirit of one of the photo shoots came back for real back when they were still doing death photos in real life, because of what was happening to their former body, think of the mayhem that would have been caused back then. *lol*
the moment I saw the mannequin wearing a wedding dress? I immediately thought of the bridal shop in Mexico! kind of surprised that this is a Russian film. Clearly, the writer, or director was inspired by the store mannequin. I can't think of the name.

It was not a black abit to do photos of their familiars when they were death. It was expensive and rare to meet a photograher that times and a paint to long time to make.
Was watching " The Russian Bride" then got here and I remembered I was so excited for this one and I thought The Russian Bride was the movie I was waiting for , anyways gonna watch The Bride now and it will be a horrific bridal night.
scared the hell out of me....that ish is really scary and specially the language its like they are wispering to me..head phones is just not a good idea😱😱 still their voices are in my ear..😱😱
Judging from this trailer, it looks pretty good to me. Lots of obvious Poe influence. I'm about to turn sixty, so old-school gothic horror is what I like, having been a fan of "Dark Shadows" and Roger Corman's Poe films starring Vincent Price. I'm gonna check this one out.
i love the idea of taking a photograph of loved one in victorian era, but the trailer is not good. i can't understand the translation, and the cliche jumpscare in the 1st scene ruin the creepiness in a movie. the best example for a creepy film is "the autopsy of jane doe", the horror, paranoid feeling, and creepiness really stay with you
Hi +Kasandra marie Pioco. You have been entered into our competition. Remember you don't have one chance to win, you actually can win at anytime throughout the time you are with us - so in other words you have multiple chances of winning. Thanks for subscribing and we hope you enjoy our content :)
I didnt finish watching the trailer and directly watched the movie and after 20minutes in the movie i thought i was watching an entirely different movie.. the first 15 minutes was really interesting
The beginning of the trailer reminded me of the necrophile's bride of some doctor who falls in love with this Cuban girl but she dies and he keeps her corpse ( I've heard of this some time ago now I'm not sure if this actually right )
I just watched the movie an hour ago,it's pretty scary. But, if someone has watched It too, please tell me the name of the song when they are going to the sister's house. It is a nice Sing and It is in English language.
I'm a photographer by trade. Photographing the dead was in fact a world wide custom during the mid 1800's into the 1900's actually still common right up until the 1950's. Although this is still a practice around the world. You aren't going tom find many Pro photographers doing dead sittings today.. There's a joke in there . I'm sure the phone's are clicking moree than we;d think, . Photography was still in it's infancy much like selfies are today. There was no superstitions set around this custom as it were. What was really happening people wanted to preserve memories and photos were by standards back then very expensive. Photographers around the world were as we are today always looking for a niche to increase business. Folks didn't live long back then and most might have 2 pictures in a lifetime. So at some point a photographer seen the perfect way to insure sales by giving people in mourning the chance to keep a memory of their loved one. Often they would put the dead family member right in the family photo with his or her living relatives. This was really common with infants ,moms and dads. Sinc birthing was a dangerous affair and the chance of either mom or baby dying during birth was quite high. A photograph would be take with dear old dad of either a dead child with living parents or a dead mum with daddy and baby Or poor old dad unlucky as many were with his dead wife and child. Wartime photos of the dead posed with hands folded on chest were common often you'd see rows of dead in their coffins standing upon end. And we think the selfie is a strange practice taking pictures of ourselves doing all sorts of strange and bizarre acts. Imagine those days when flies were plentiful, there was no air conditioning and pictures usually were taken out side for the ight. And then the smell as they didn't usually use embalming fluids just lots of heavy perfumes... oooooougghh
If it comes out January 2017, doesn't that mean that it's already out?? Because next year would be January 2018. So, is it out or not??? please let me know!! I REALLY want to see this movie!! 🙄 Thanks!!
‘The Bride’ opened in Russian theaters on January 19th, 2017, followed by its worldwide release at a later date. The date for international release is yet not known. We will have to wait until then :(
its good movie guys , i expect more when i watch this but its really bad movie bcuz they chge actor voice . . kinda disappointed . because here in malaysia they dnt use real voice . its weird boring watching movie with different voice (english) . i prepare real voice even russia language bcuz still got subtitle .
bes tp d malaysia kena tukar voice actor nya pegi english . jadi suara sma mulut actor nda serasi . kadang2x ada suara tp actor mulut x buka hahaha . kan asalnya movie ni bahasa rusia . tp GSC malaysia tukar voice english guna voice org lain . jadi buruk movie tu . hahaha
I am sorry, but was I watching two trailers in one. The intro was pretty good, but then it deteriorated gradually😒. You guys basically lost your audience.
I love Rusland fore making a lot of animation and horror movies. But please make the audio in Engslish version???xxxPlease people al over the world listen to English movies .

This is not how brides act in real life...they're much worse.

It wasn`t the mannequin, it was the dead girl`s body.
Дарья Епихина yes, I realize that. I use the term Mannequin because she stands in a store window.
completley different
I love movies which show events from 19th century . I need more horror movies from this era
I really want to watch this film. I think I've already watched every Japanese, Korean, Malaysian, Thailand, French horror movie so now I want to try this. Russian horror. Why not? Looks promising! Anyone here who can point me to the direction where I can find it?
Recommend me horror films pls

The essence of horror is in the subtitles.
I was so scared to watch this movie and today I finally faced my fears and watched it. Unfortunately it was one of those movies where the trailer is scarier than the actual movie. I liked the plot, amazing sound effects, but the evil looked too fake.
So it's an average movie?
Oh well, it's one of those that we have to watch as it is intriguing.
I saw it in Russian, if you understand the language I will send you the link.
I think the English version/subtitles aren´t available yet because it is a new movie. But don´t worry much, it is not the greatest horror movie ever, had lots of room for improvement.
The beginning with the death photos is awesome! Am sure glad they don't do that anymore...Hahaha!!!
Those rough subtitles with incorrect punctuation are scarier.

‘The Bride’ opened in Russian theaters on January 19th, 2017, followed by its worldwide release at a later date. The date for international release is yet not known. We will have to wait until then :(
