    Could the USB-C connection phantom power all 4 mics simultaneously or does it need the power adapter for that?

      Hello dear friend. USB-C gives enough power for 4 phantom powered inputs with no need for an adapter and with no issues at all. Tried it and powered two large and two small diaphragm condensers. Greetings from Greece. Thank you for watching.

    Hi, I really need your advice. I intend to purchase a 4 XLR input interface with a USD350-400 budget. I can't decide between the Steinberg UR44c and the Focusrite Scalet 18i8 gen3. They are very similar in terms of price range and features.

      Hello dear friend! First of all thanks for watching my video. Between these two interfaces the choice is very easy. First of all I consider them to be of the same built quality. I’ve owned the Steinberg and I’ve tried many Scarletts, of all their generations. There is a tiny difference in the “color” of the preamps, but not meaning that one is better than the other. They are both great for the buck. Now, if the four mic preamps are and will be in the future enough for your needs then I would definitely go for the Steinberg because of the onboard dsp chip, the amazing and easy to use morphing channel strip, the whole software bundle with Cubase and the integration of the interface in it. If I knew that I would need now or in the future more inputs, then I would go for the Focusrite which can take 8 more preamps via adat, or I would give 100 more and go for the UR816c which in my opinion is the most underrated and (I suspect because of marketing mistakes) stupidly not used everywhere, audio interface. I hope I helped a little bit. Greetings from Greece.

    Why does it not cut the sound when I select the gain at level 0 of input1, 2, 3 or 4?

    • @PetrosAntoniouMusic
      @PetrosAntoniouMusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello dear friend. This happens because the knobs on the front face of the interface are not for volume control, but gain knobs for the preamp. If you want to totally mute these inputs then you should open your software console that comes with the interface, and mute the channels pressing the M buttons on each channel. This is totally normal and you shouldn’t worry. Thank you for watching. Greetings from Greece.

    Can we use this for a professional recording studio?

    • @PetrosAntoniouMusic
      @PetrosAntoniouMusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If we take into consideration that in the early 2000’s professional recordings that we still listen to were made with equipment that had very lower specs, then yes we definitely could use the steinberg Ur44c in a professional environment with very good results. When your skills get so good that your needs will not be covered by it, you will be still able to use it for on location recordings with your laptop or iPad. No worries at all.

      @@PetrosAntoniouMusic , do you feel that the mic preamps are noisy?

    • @PetrosAntoniouMusic
      @PetrosAntoniouMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@soulfulmusictime3315 i didn’t find the preamps to be noisy at all. I own many mics and even shure sm57, which needs the most power didn’t have any noise issues.

    Ur44c vs iD14? Which one

    • @PetrosAntoniouMusic
      @PetrosAntoniouMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello!!! Sorry for the delay. Audient has some very very good preamps and also their interfaces are very well build, easy to use and have a very good dynamic range. On the other hand, Ur44c has also good preamps, the dsp chip which is very helpful, more inputs that the iD14 and also it works fantastic with Cubase. The choice is yours. You won’t go wrong with any of them. Thank you for watching.
