I totally understand your point, that’s why, as I say in my video, it wouldn’t bother me to pay 5-10 euros more for the other mics, if they came with a case like this. Especially for the handheld condensers. As for the quality, of course the original mic by Shure is much better, but I wouldn’t say is 7-8 times better as the price is 7-8 times higher. Learn to use it properly. Gain staging in the digital realm. Lots of great recordings being made through that 'terrible' interface.. 😂

Hello dear friend. I would personally go for the mixer, as it gives you the possibility to track the things you want as they are, exactly after the gain stage, but at the same time, while recording, you can monitor yourself (voice or instrument) with eq and fx, so as to boost your performance. And you can do this nicely, with physical buttons and no menus, windows and stuff. And of course with no delay.

I agree with the noiseless part. As for their sound, it's really subjective. There were songs where the NT1a fitted perfectly and added a nice sparkle to some vocals and was used without any post EQing at all. Greetings from Greece!

@@yo3429 for the most neutral sound of them three, I would recommend the NT1. The other two have their own character.

@@PetrosAntoniouMusic Yepp! Someday I give the NT1 or 1000 a try. Had some superlownoise KingBee V1, mighty mics but it was to hard to look at them. I've still got a 26 years old Superlux CMH 8C in the slightly better t.bone SC950 version with spider as daily. You won't find any information of the SC950 anymore in the www. Some PreEQ and a soft gate in the SoundDesk app, and I realy 'love' it for it's natural sound and overall performance in cardoid and omni. In this case 14 dB noisefloor is a small trade off, but no problem at all in real life.

I'm telling you, for the price it's unbelievable. If you could pack this capsule and electronics in a newer, more unique and sturdy chassis, you could sell this mic for 100-150 euros and no-one would complain. @@PetrosAntoniouMusic So I've got the sb78a for a week now. I modded it with some fine filter mesh (grid around 250-400 direct on the capsule 6x 4.5 mm diameter for every hole one filter, same filters you use with inear headphones) that reduces the 8 kHz rise and levels the mids now, soft roll off after 10kHz. You can do it with a double windscreen too (at2020 foam + standard foam) for studio use. More than respectable sound now, very flat response, not sibilant at all. Only the noisefloor that comes in higher gains settings is a small downside, at 60% gain on the Apogee Duet it get's audible. But no problem up to 20-30 cm microphone distance. Very happy with this, absolute nobrainer and well built IMHO :)
