The 2.0 Zeta seemes to take a lot of inspiration in regards to the shape, especially noticeable with the head, from the Zeta Plus design, with the more robotic, accentuated, square shape rather than the less aggressively blocky and more rounded, flat face of the Ver. Ka.
Just bought it as my Christmas gift to my self when it’s discounted. Gotta say they handled the issues on MS mode really well, but not so much for the WR mode. Btw, you can also plug the beam effect part onto the barrel of the rifle, and that shit is really long and cool
Hey Mecha, looks like you forgot to push the blue backpack part behind the head down on the Ver ka.. It shouldn't' stick out that much, only about 1/2 of it should be poking out. behind the shoulders.
This kit brought me around on the Zeta's design. While I was recently watching Zeta Gundam I always felt like the Mk2 was the better looking hero suit and the Zeta was like a less cool Hyaku Shiki lol. But I dunno, the kit looks cool as hell. I dig it.
A few notes about this: - The elbow joints are very fragile when you want to collapse and uncollapse the arms back into robot form. Collapsing is fine but use a plier to push them back up instead of of pulling on the joint. I pulled them once and the stressmarks already showed up. Not in a danger zone but the elbows won't last if you keep doing it. - With the elbows being very fragile and the rotating joint at the upper arm being very stiff I recommend to sand it down a little to get less friction. - The most disappointing aspect about the robot form for me is that the toes do almost nothing when lunging forward. Because of this I have a easier time posing the 2.0. It just doesn't look as good as the ver.ka in the poses. - Personally to me where the Ver.Ka shines is in it the robot mode. Gone are the long arms and the waist that sat strangely low and in with a proportion change that feels a lot like what Katoki did with the MGEX Unicorn. ( I actually prefer the original unicorn proportions). - The waverider mode and transformation I feel are inferior to the 2.0. Nothing quite locks into place and there is a lot of small parts that have a hard time to connect with certain pieces. On the 2.0 everything is solid and when properly transformed it feels quite sturdy. The end result then is either the rounded waverider of the ver.ka or the very sharp and flat looking 2.0 which I prefer. The mega beam launcher also gives it that added length to make it feel even sharper. The verdict is basically what I had predicted from the promotional material which is that the Ver.Ka is the superior Mobile suit form to me personally with the 2.0 outdoing it as the waverider form. If you are wondering if it's worth getting the Ver.Ka if you own the 2.0 I suggest that you do! Display the Ver.ka in its Robot form and the 2.0 in waverider mode and you have the best of both worlds showing at all times.
I was planning on getting 2 ver kas for mobile suit and waverider mode but reading this idea I'd might get the 2.0 for a wave rider display now! Great suggestion!

I think I'll rank this kit around 3-4 stars because of the way it transforms. For a person with a big hand it will be difficult to transform this thing and also some parts tend to fall off. (E.g. skirts) oh and the chest segment seems to lock out really tight when I'm pushing the head downward.
Absolutely fantastic! My friend from High school pre ordered the kit and said it was great. If ever there's a Xi gundam ver ka or another MGEX Unicorn ver ka, I would also throw in my money for it
I can only imagine what would happen if Gundam Barbatos connected a hit on Zeta. That suit has so many moving parts. Seems like it would fragment like a Lego spaceship lol
Yeah lol. Best case scenario that either the ms would be too internally damaged to transform and gtfo. Even with the luna titanium alloy I can't think off the top of my head what ms with the alloy can take a significant hit from Barbatos and walk away unscathed.

@@Sparkster217 shouldn't be too hard alot of hobby stores especially up here in canada are getting tons one store near me while they don't do pre orders they are getting around 200 of em
This can be my first Master Grade!!
It's a complex build but super fun! Hope you love it
Color separation perfection. I must have it!
Love your reviews. Been waiting for this one. Keep up the great work. Question, how many kits have you built over the years of reviews?
im so mad, the last gundam i built was the zeta 2.0 and i am a huge ver ka fan… looks like im gonna have both ;)
At this point the only thing I need from Bandai is a pod ball kit that has a bunch of holes to store the beams from the beam sabers when I’m not using them
This really looks like an upscaled Robot Spirits KA Signature Zeta Gundam (it may sounds so obvious, but the vibes are translated tip-to-toe).
Never bought a Zeta kit (unless you count the SDCS). I guess this will be the one to get.
I wished there was a Ver Ka of the gundam delta kai.
That kit is just 🤌🏿🤌🏿✨️✨️✨️
Huh, I was just working on an origin gundam MG while I have this on preorder, funny coincidence
This humbled Katoki. This got me back in.
Great another kit that’s gonna get an ass ton of P-Bandai versions I’m gonna want.
Having the head side-by-side, the Ver Kai does look more TV accurate.
You used gray or black for the panel lines?
Face, etc.
Really nice kit and review, just bought mine!
A hello from brazil;)
I've got this sitting right beside me as I type. I'm just waiting for a set of high end nippers to arrive before I start it. Gunpla has me hooked, my wallet hates me.
I dont have room for MGs but this makes me want to accomodate a space. Seeing the transformation, can you imagine is this gundam was in G Gundam? Would the pilot just be dead? 😅
Wow. I bought the 2.0 not long ago and it's a good model, but the Ver Ka really is a level above it. I might end up getting this to display in MS mode while the 2.0 stays in wave rider mode
This is the first time I bought 2 MGs on release, and I have no regrets....
Honestly the face plate looks better with much subtler panel line shading.
love a kit with giant hands
I also like the proportions of RG Zeta but other says it's a hand grenade.
Imagine RG Zera on Master Grade size that would be awesome. 😎
I know as a kit the new one will be much better but the aesthetics of the 2.0 are better imo
just got one for AUD80 (cut from AUD109) today, good bargain. will start building soon as i got home, while playing ffxiv lol
was about to make unicorn mg as my first mg, but nope hobby store said let’s discount zeta instead
ngl hahaha the topcoat makes everything look better on the ver ka vs the 2.0
the only mecha toy that you did with decals.
Well, I would say the ZZ ver ka is also a perfected transformer
I think I'll rank this kit around 3-4 stars because of the way it transforms. For a person with a big hand it will be difficult to transform this thing and also some parts tend to fall off. (E.g. skirts) oh and the chest segment seems to lock out really tight when I'm pushing the head downward.
Absolutely fantastic! My friend from High school pre ordered the kit and said it was great. If ever there's a Xi gundam ver ka or another MGEX Unicorn ver ka, I would also throw in my money for it
I wanted to watch a comparison w the rg but seems most RG exploded lmao. Nice to see the grenade is no more. GUNPLA GOLDEN AGE LESSSGOOO
The only thing I don't like is the shade of yellow, the one used in 2.0 was better. Aside from this, it's just amazing!
I wish he came with alternate holding hands to handle the beam rifle sideways for the beam bayonette
If this is still in stock here in Korea, I want to get one for Father’s Day
The arm storage reminds me of Vergil from DmC we need a custom build 😭😭😭
I love Zeta 2.0 will buy ver ka someday
I can only imagine what would happen if Gundam Barbatos connected a hit on Zeta. That suit has so many moving parts. Seems like it would fragment like a Lego spaceship lol
Yeah lol. Best case scenario that either the ms would be too internally damaged to transform and gtfo. Even with the luna titanium alloy I can't think off the top of my head what ms with the alloy can take a significant hit from Barbatos and walk away unscathed.
@@richardanaya2416 Nu gundam would suplex the shit outta barbatoast 😅
You say this is the transforming Gunpla perfected. This is awesome, and I obviously still want it but the ver. Ka. ZZ Gundam had a pretty impressive transformation gimmick as well.
I think so, too. One problem with ZZ ver. Ka is that it still uses polycaps and the legs in mine is kinda wobbly and loose
I don't know why people hate this kit, it looks perfect! I am not even a Z gundam fan
