the best versions ARE the spiders, they have the best looks, the best sounds, and if your worried about the weight just make it a targa, as look at it this way, your adding a roll bar to a fast car, how is that NOT safe and how does that NOT make the car better.

The purpose of the Challenge Stradale was to have a track focused, faster, better handling 360 Modena. This car will be less track focused and have worse handling due to less structural rigidity, worse handling and more weight.

    • @jv9371
      @jv9371 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Since the car has aged so much and technology has moved on, all those advantages have been surpassed by the newer speciale, pista etc. I think it will just end up to be an amazing sounding “old” Ferrari that you can enjoy with the roof down. A 360 spider will still drive good anyway. It is not a 30 year old megane convertible.

Creating a CS Spider is interesting, though it answers the question that few have cared to ask. Many of the performance advantages that a CS will bring to a Spider can be addressed through custom work and aftermarket parts. You're not going this route, so this project's focus should be on CS. Make this Spider a CS Spider.

How to instantly devalue your Ferrari CS: modify it in any way. These cars have maintained their value like few other cars have, but if you modify it, game off!

Absolutely love mate! That will make a truly brilliant unique car!! Keep the original colour of the donor car on the spider if you can sort of an hommage to the old car!

It’s clearly a passion project for Mr Stradale and I guess if you have the cars and the money then why not. If he has any other Ferraris in the garage he’s not keen on I’ll give them a good home

@@Ratarossa well you definetly are stirring pot. I would love to have the silver ferrari just as it is , but to see it become a donor car stirs my blood no end and thats what most ferrari’s do so well .I clearly recall and have pics of the first F40 to land here in Australia, when the owners took it to Calder raceway as part of a Ferrari club event. The F40 was delivered on the back of a truck and the wife of the owner drove it off the truck and was the first to take it around the track at speed. She had balls this lady and the husband had to tell her that its new and was not run in yet.The car cost a million at this time and i dont know where it is now but it was an amazing day.Anyway i will continue to see how you progress here bit i will be biting a wooden spoon in despair.Forza Ferrari.Ciao

Fantastic, I did this a about 10 years back, but didn’t fit the dash and suspension. Everything else went into my spider. I sold it in 2013 to buy a real stradale. It’s still out there somewhere in the uk! Looking forward to seeing this build.

Little confused, why do this with a perfectly good Challenge Stradale ? Surely it would make more sense to use parts from the two written off CS that are available ?

  • @luispv330d

They want to do something that no one has done yet.
In my opinion, if the donor car was the black "stradale" would make more sense.
In my opinion too, it would make sense to make a manual swap...
    Anyway, go for it! 😃

Only seeing this vid now. Sorry but I agree with alot of the comments. We are all car enthusiasts here and while I understand the need to create content I would much rather see that car get a mini resto (if required) and cherished. I personally love watching crash damaged supercars being rebuilt as that's what the everyday man can aspire to.

Wouldn’t be my choice, but he’s the one with the £££ and the fleet of ponies so…
I wonder how many you need for the appreciation of the other cars by their being one less to be offset by the loss of this one!

I think you mean stallions as “ponies” are always mustangs! And yes I would agree you must have a big fleet of stallions in your garage to do this to this one. Shit most of us would be happy with it just the way it is
