    Scott, here are my 3 most valuable lesson I appreciate & dig about your channel.
    A) Your single minded 'British Cottage Industry' mentally at solving 'The Big World' challenges
    B) Your intrinsically technological background towards change. And lastly
    c) You won't compromise 'Innovation over Tradition' for even the sake of a Ferrari!!
    Keep those shifting those gears in your head. Both these last 2 projects have been one hell of a ride!!! LoL

    You’ve gone this far, i would absolutely add the ‘spider’ badging just for that extra charm, this car is sooooo sick!

  • @jim_bocho

    Coming along nicely. This thing looks AWESOME.
    In terms of spider badge, 3D print a complete new one with the „Spider“ connected to the „challenge stradale“ in the right font.

    • @JordanSilverthorne
      @JordanSilverthorne 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      better yet, 3D print a mold as described above, then cast it in aluminum

    Such a awesome build Scott, bet there are some 360 and 430 spider owners who are loving your modifications on the roof mechanism. This Challenge Stradale Spider is looking cool AF! Hopefully you can make it with the spider to a Italian car show this year, would love to see it in the flesh!

    Well although I was enjoying the BB build, this CS Spyder build has been an interesting ride....
    Understand it's all about attention to details - and then some..
    All the work has paid of Scott and you can be rightly proud of what you've achieved.
    As for the badges.
    3D printing a bespoke badge out of aluminum would be nice.
    But first try & get all the original physical Ferrari Spyder badges & place them under the badge to see what works.
    Sometimes trying to mentally visage something doesn't always look great on reality..
    In other words: trial and error. trying different options until something pops..
    Remember that badge is the 1st thing people will see when driving behind...!
    Good stuff👍

    Enzo Ferrari once said, "I don't care if the door gaps are straight. When the driver steps on the gas I want him to shit his pants”
    - so the spider logo, get it all made in same font (get it 3D printed!)- you know it must be done

    • @BigMouth380cal
      @BigMouth380cal 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I completely agree with Brian's call for a 3Dprinted "perfect font" logo. But,,, you might consider having a Graphic Artist work on the placement and orientation. Just my 2 cents (American coins).

    • @marcryvon
      @marcryvon 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Enzo could'nt care less about his street cars. They were built just to finance his racing. Il Commendatore spoke racing, lived racing, dreamed racing. Period. Remember his historical bout with Ferrucio Lamborghini ?

    Get a Challenge Stradale Spider badge made!

    I've used that syringe method of surface mount soldering and it's a game changer for a DIYer..did it for a power connector on an ipod, though that soldering iron is next level!

      Loved that soldering iron
      What's he doing with the syringe?
      Is that flux..

  • @conniebenny
    @conniebenny 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Another great video. As for the car, it definitely needs a Challenge Stradale Spider badge. If Ferrari had made this car, that's what they would have put on it, and it would all be in the same font and sized correctly too. I agree with some of the other posters below, get one 3D printed if you can't make a perfect one from original parts.

    • @Sean_Farmer
      @Sean_Farmer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      3D printing one seems like the best option. This car deserves attention to all these seemingly small details that truly make it look like it came from the factory that way.

    As we'd say in Italy, "you've done 30, might as well go to 31".
    It's a one of one Ferrari with an open roof, I think you should get a badge made and with a different name than the regular road car just like Ferrari has done with the previous special cars (16M, Aperta, ...).
    I think something like "Scoperta" would be very fitting 😉 anyway awesome series!!

    Do Ferrari put their panels in vertical racks leaning on a weak point when they make them causing them to flex and twist before fitting? With the badging, could you relocate the existing badge and sit it centrally under the prancing horse? I like symmetry …

    Hi Scott, Paul here. I just watched your video and quite enjoyed it. You really are going to the most minute level of detail with the dash; I love it. In regards to your question on what to do about the model name on the back I think you should find a way to have one custom made. It may not be possible or feasible but with the level of detail you are pursuing you owe it to yourself to at least try. The job is about doing it as they would at the factory after all. Maybe someone can help on fchat? Hope you are well.
