Best move I can think is buy and build the silver shell with the parts from your black stradale and use the red cars parts to build your black one. Theres a ton of value in the black cars parts but they are tied to a higher mileage chassis with a title of a normal 360. Putting them on the silver one might make a more valuable car in the end
The problem with that is that the black one is his daily driver with right hand drive, he has indicated he is going to continue to pile on the miles. Living with a LH drive car can't be fun as a daily.
Don’t worry about the people who say “Don’t take apart the limited edition car” if people didn’t do stuff like this we wouldn’t have some of the amazing cars we have today! You’re doing a great job! Cannot wait to see the finished product! 👍🏻

Do you mean the ££££££ they'd spent or what it'll be worth. Cause it won't make them money nor will it be worth as much as the Ferrari they've pulled apart.
Amazing. You can send Ferrari a 250 GTO and anything needs replacing they will make new. Even a engine block with serial number! Wing mirrors for a 20 year old car? Pound sand buddy!
Pretty conflicted on this. One one hand “you pays your money you makes your choice”, on the other hand it’s a CS. Purely from a project perspective and TH-cam views it’s certainly interesting!
Congratulations Scott. In the last half year. You’ve shifted gears from the driveway of concept projects to the highway of great projects concepts. Love the time lapses when necessary. And still laughing over cheapo carbon dash decal. What’s next? Ferrari swapping seat belt from a cortina?!?! LoL
@@Ratarossa Just like silicon implants, which are also superficially misleading. Given the right conditions, many substitutes ultimately serve a greater good. hahahhahaahhhaaa... However, Ferrari probably charges more! Terrific resto-mod / swap!! Build the car Ferrari overlooked.
For the carbon bits that you might have on your car, both others (and Ferrari) might need, can't you get them reverse engineered by taking molds off the existing ones ? Would be a nice little video for carbon molding and manufacturing of parts. Theres a guy who already does high end carbon parts for cars.....
You should do a giveaway on some random parts you wont use. For people like me its an opportunity to own a prt of a Ferrari and something from your channel!
As far as swaps and donor cars go.... id say you are doing it as right as it can be... two cars in two cars out... nothings being wasted and your friend will have a unique Stradale Spyder.... Not everyone understands the bond between a car and a man...its never just the car.. its the memories and all the sentimental rubbish asscociated... once it becomes THE car its never just A car!
I must then say that you have a great way of picking down the car and should have done better. Lessons from renovation from old American cars. Before picking something apart, photograph how the part sits. Then put bolts, nuts, screws in marked bags, and be extremely careful, you have marked bag for the right and left side of some parts bolts, nuts, screws in each bag. everything must be carefully photographed and marked. Then the assembly goes together much faster. Then you store all these marked parts in a larger box which is also marked whose all these small parts come from. and mark even larger parts and put them up on shelves that have then marked the row of shelves whose parts come from.
Why don’t you take the real stradale shell, the grey one, and put your real parts on it? From the black car? You’d finish this with a totally genuine challenge stradale yourself
I’m lost on the process - it’s a donor regular 360 being used on a regular spider 360 to turn into a Stradale spider - or the donor car is a Stradale 360 Coupe - and if so.. eh.. what’s the benefit - Stradale spider is super rare?
No it could be done no problem and actually easier with electronics but my friend wants something as close as Ferrari would have built and the CS was only F1 hence the CS Spider will be the same
So what will happen to the shell and the bits of the "donor" car that are not used ? Sold for parts , or put back together to make a complete non-Stradale model ?
The spec that’s somewhat disappointing on a 360 Spyder is the plastic rear window?! Acceptable on a MK1 MX5 but You would think at that price point it should be glass.
@10:40 did I see correctly that the airbox is only fed from the left-hand intake? If so, what does the right-hand intake feed? I presumed the rads would all be up front?
Transfer all of the Challenge Stradale parts from the black car to the silver genuine Stradale shell and using the best parts left over from the Spider create for yourself something even closer to the real thing than you have already, and then use the black shell for your F40 clone car?
basically the clock (complete binnacle) is different between models and coded. The spider one has specific code for the roof and need that to work. Hence had to make a hybrid
