This is great, thanks for the recommendations on grilling chicken breasts. I just got the Foodi Grill a few weeks ago, and immediately figured out their cooking times are way off. Overcooked. These look really good, I think I’m going to have to binge watch your Foodi Grill videos to get more info and tips. Thank you CJ!
I like watching your videos for the Ninja Foodi Grill. I've tried your air fried potatoes recipe and WOW! I've had two other air fryers before and thanks to you and your recipe and also thanks to this grill, the fries turned out so good and crispy. None of my other two air fryers have make crispy fries like what you shared in another video. I will have to try cooking chicken breast.
Did you change the temp from high to max towards the end? I noticed in the beginning is shows high and then at the end it shows max! So do you only do that for the last 5 min?
Trial and error. Try both methods and see which one you prefer. Basically, as long as you cook them to the correct temperature they should be fine with both methods. Just comes down to your personal preference
I use it because usually I get more even and consistent grill marks with it. No so much this time. The grill marks add more grill flavor. That’s why I like the Sear N Sizzle grate in there. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for replying, love your videos, unfortunately the sear and sizzle is too expensive to be shipped to Belfast, Northern Ireland or I would get one to use in my Foodi as well. 😊
Hey CJ. Found you by accident and i got to say best accident ever. Hey brother the Thermo probe pen. Do you recommend any in particular ? Thanks in advance and can’t wait to see other videos . Cheers
Made these per your recipe on my Ninja Foodi Smart XL Grill. Came out fantastic! Being that I bleed orange and blue as a Florida Gator I used Uncle Steve's Gator Shake. BTW, you sound like you're from Georgia and probably a Dawg fan. See you in October in Jax. GO GATORS! -GatorTom
Thanks for the great cooking demo! I just got the foodi xl today and wondering how will you add times when you find out the inside temperature is still low? Do you need to wait for the grill reheat again? Thanks!
Hey CJ, great video. Looking forward to trying it on my XL smart grill but I have 1 question. You started on High but ended on Max, when did you switch to Max and for how long?
I wish you wouldn’t use the grill grates since it changes time and cooking temperature . I don’t have these grates and i want a tutorial to use as a guide.
CJ, anything done differently when cooking the breasts with the skin? I'm thinking internal temp is the same, just pay attention to desired skin crispness? Thanks again! 😋
Excellent! Sometimes what should be simple just doesn’t work out. I made two breasts even before finishing your video, and they were tender, juicy, and had some char (with the Ninja grate). I have a grill grate for my Ninja maybe I’ll use it in the grill. 🤔. Thanks for a terrific video!
I just got my Foodi Grill today and I cooked chicken breast. I set 10 minutes..then flipped them over. When I shut it, it started to reheat again! What the heck? It has to reheat every time you open it? They were dry as a bone! I had to leave them in to reheat and by the time it hit 500 again, they were DRY! HELP!
I love your videos, and watch them often. The only thing that makes me cringe is when I see you using spray oils like Pam and such. It will eventually ruin your cookware...build up...better to brush your oil on..imagine is can eat off the non stick coating what it is doing to your stomach. It is the propellants in it. I buy an avacado spray with NO PROPELLANTS at Walmart. You can also get sprayers or just brush it on. You do not have to believe me...research it on the internet. Just sayin. I am a 73 year old grandma and learn new stuff every day....have learned a lot about the Ninja...bought both the Original and the XL this weekend. Thanks for your help.
I'm not a fan of stuff like Pam so I appreciate learning about good alternatives, especially the avocado one, since avocado oil is the only one that I'll use. I'm a month away from turning 23 and I'm just now learning to cook for when I'm out on my own..

Right on!

Did you change the temp from high to max towards the end? I noticed in the beginning is shows high and then at the end it shows max! So do you only do that for the last 5 min?
So I don’t need to flip them at all?
Did you ever get an answer because I'm wondering the same thing
Trial and error. Try both methods and see which one you prefer. Basically, as long as you cook them to the correct temperature they should be fine with both methods. Just comes down to your personal preference
I wish I could like this video twice u don’t know how much u helped me 🙌🏿💯

I’m shooting it right now. It’ll be linked to this video hopefully by this Thursday
Where can I get the grill insert you used????
Susan Bickta it’s the pinned comment, click the link and search indoor grills.
This looks delicious 😋 thanks for sharing. Great job CJ
Hey thank you!
Thanks!
what temperature did you have it on? It was on high at first then it changed to max
Just wondering why you used the sear n sizzle and not just the grill that came with the grill
Deborah Majury all good! The stock grate works well too. Really appreciate you watching! Take care!
Just got my ninja grill today! Thanks for the tips!
Very cool!

These look perfect and so juicy!
Thank you!!
That is by far...The PERFECT chicken breast! great Job!
Thank you! Appreciate it Uncle Steve!
what is the brand of thermometer you are using ????
Thermopro, there’s a link in the video description for it.

Lol! Nah I’m born in bread in SoCal. Big USC fan. Fight On! ✌🏻
CJ why does your grill look different than mine? Mine are circular..
It’s a Seat and Sizzle grate by GrillGrates. It’s an add’l item you can buy for your Foodi grill.
CJ, where can I find that grill grate?
Click the link in the pinned comments. And search indoor grills.
Hah thought this video was going to escape me LOL those some juicy Chicken Breasts, perfection my brother perfection . Take care and Cheers to Ya!
Lol! Hey thanks brother! Cheers
You think it used my meat shears to cut up the chicken when raw and threw rhen in the grill mode they would be juicy nuggets ?
I don’t see why not.
Never had such perfect chicken breast .. thank you!!!
Thank you!!
Thanks for the great cooking demo! I just got the foodi xl today and wondering how will you add times when you find out the inside temperature is still low? Do you need to wait for the grill reheat again? Thanks!
Before you’re done cooking, just hit the up arrow on the time and it will add minutes for you.
Great video! Just ordered a Ninja Foodie Grill. Do I need the extra grill plate? What does it do that the standard one doesn’t?
It’s not a need. I just like it, give more char marks and adds a bit more flavor.
8:17 had me salivating!
Ya buddy!
Where do we get the thermo stick ?
Amazon has them.
amzn.to/2E8mCu4
Those definitely came out super juicy - that's all I'm sayin' right there :)
Yes ma’am! Thank you!!
Hey CJ I have the ninja grill 6 in 1 pro but when I try to make chicken breasts it comes out too tough. Do you have any suggestions?
Maybe try pulling them out a little earlier. At like 160f internal on the thickest part. Let the carry over heat take it to the 165.
@@CookingWithCJ I tried at 160 but it was still tough. Should I try like at 145?
@@Krometheous man I’m not sure that’s a good idea. Maybe try lowering your grilling temp?
@@CookingWithCJ I currently grill it on hi. Should I go to medium?
Those look delicious my man. That thumbnail perfect.
Hey thanks! Appreciate it!
Hey CJ, great video. Looking forward to trying it on my XL smart grill but I have 1 question. You started on High but ended on Max, when did you switch to Max and for how long?
Honestly I don’t remember, I did the video awhile ago, sorry
No worries. I just cooked it on high and watched the temperature.
I have the temp probe for my model and 160 is PERFECT! And let's not talk about pork chops, that's something else all together LOL
Lol! My chops are perfect! Gotta just pay attention to the temps on everything for sure.
I made chicken breasts last night in my new Foodie and it was a SHITSHOW so...here I am.....yours looks sooo good
Lmao! Hopefully it won’t be next time!
I wish you wouldn’t use the grill grates since it changes time and cooking temperature . I don’t have these grates and i want a tutorial to use as a guide.
This video is over 4 years old. And it is a Ninja Foodi Grill.
CJ, anything done differently when cooking the breasts with the skin? I'm thinking internal temp is the same, just pay attention to desired skin crispness? Thanks again! 😋
As my boy Ice Cube would say. “Once again it’s on.” Came out perfectly!
Thank you!!
Come on here now! D e l i s h !!
Lol! Thank you!!

I’m sorry, not sure how that would happen. Might be a question for Ninja.
Round the outside, round the outside
Lol!
Cj loves a juicy chicken breast!! Love it! Hope all is well
Oh ya! Lol! Thanks!
Buffalo Gals "Malcolm Mclaren"
I noticed you didn’t ever flip the chicken breast, is that correct?
Thanks for this video! Love your style! This was so easy to follow!!
Nah you don’t have too. And I keep it on one side so I can get the grill marks dark for my videos. Lol Thank you!
I had this question too
I would still flip I feel like it would do both sides
Like ...just for the round the outside...round the outside
Lol! Thanks
Cleaning tips, please…
