  • On this video we make Roasted Rosemary Potatoes and Onions using the Ninja Foodi Grill! I love using the roast feature on the Foodi Grill! And these red potatoes and sweet onion was a perfect match to roast in the Foodi Grill. Added some rosemary, little chili, some good olive oil and you're in business!

    Ingredients and Prep:
    -5 Red potatoes - cubed.
    -1 sweet onion - chopped.
    -2 tablespoons olive oil.
    -3 tablespoons fresh rosemary.
    -1 fresno chili - minced.
    -Seasoning salt to taste.
    -Pepper to taste.
    Prep:
    -Pre-heat the Foodi Grill to 375f using the Roast feature.
    -Add the potatoes, oil, rosemary, onions, chili and seasoning.
    -Mix thoroughly.
    -Roast for 35 min. Stirring every 10 min.
    -Enjoy

    thanks C.J. I've had my Ninja grill for about a year now and have yet to use the roaster feature. strictly grill and air fry. but I'm think I'm going to give this a roll this weekend. love roasted potatoes.

    Cooked this tonight with my parents. We added in some corn beef about halfway through the cook time and topped it with a sharp cheddar at the end and had it as a hash. Tasted amazing! Thanks for the video!

    Olive oil is fine to use in high heat. There has been studies on frying with it. Oils only become (rancid) if they are used over and over again (ie Fast Food fryers). Also, the taste does not change in olive oil after heating and allowed to cool.
    I GRILL with EVOO in my Ninja, no smoke/taste issues.

    Cooking this right now. I did add in bell peppers and zucchini. Needed to cook the zucchini so I tossed two in. 😋 I'll update. 😁 Thank you for this recipe as it's my first time cooking on it. Came in right after 7am this morning. Also cooking BBQ thighs as well this evening...💖💙

      @@CookingWithCJ Yes. On mine I needed maybe 25 minutes. I stopped at 30. But different veggies in there. Still came out very good. Just waiting on everyone to say when on eating to do the BBQ thighs. I guess a late lunch messed up dinner time today. The house is smelling delish with the veggies in the now debunked oven.
      I'm sold on this machine!!!!😍😍😍

    I just ordered a Ninja Foodi smart grill. I have a question for you, why did you use roast versus air fry? I’ve never tried an air fryer and trying to understand the difference

    Hey CJ, I'm researching this gadget, do you think it uses less energy verses cooking on the stove? Does it radiate alot of heat...when it's summer time here in AZ WE don't wana heat up the kitchen. Thank you for your videos.

      I’m with ya. It’s gets pretty hot in SoCal where I’m at. Doesn’t put off much if any real heat. I use it more than my oven for sure.

      That’s only if you’re using the grill setting and higher temps. If you’re baking or roasting you’re fine using olive oil.
