Guys I have a tip! So basically before you practice the first step practice jumping with your hands over the pillow and land on your back! This really helps me get hight! I hope this works for you! Good luck🤞

Tips!! Drills: Swinging your arms back and landing in a hollow position on your bed Handstand snap down Jumping high onto a mat, trampoline, or bed Process: Try on a tramp first!! I learned mine doing a back limber swinging my hands. I just did it with no intention 😂 but do back limbers with an arm swing and at one point you’ll just jump into it Try on the floor with a MAT or MATRESS. Do not try without any safety precautions! If you feel like you have enough height and strength, try on the floor.

Okay, let’s be honest. All dancers and gymnasts out there wanting to learn a backhandspring... do it at your local gym or local studio with a professional coach//teacher . You cant really learn it at home, some people have but your Going to get it quicker that way and less hurt that way.
Yesterday was my 1st day for backhandspring progression and my first attempt went like 2:14 guys you dont need too much safety its just a backhandorings get some arm strength and do standing back bridges a lot once you got the confidence to do the bend i say just search for grass and do it i mean i have a hard time finding garden near me i stay in India and currently all gardens are closed guys staying in US go get out on that grass and do it stay positive you can do it!!

Callsign-Wolfman I don't think it'll work as well as you think. I assume you'd be doing flips to dodge pellets, but really you don't move that much when flipping, so you'd be no less of a target than someone just walking. If you want to stage things for the purpose of a TH-cam video or something, it could look cool, but in a regular game it's pretty pointless.
i have cheer tryouts in 4 days and i literally can’t do a back walkover or anything and all the tutorials on yt requires so much precious skill and they are all the same but when i get home (im at pet smart rn) i’m gonna use my gym mat and try this and if i actually get it i’ll literally cry and be so happy bc it will guarantee my spot. Tumbling is optional so along as my jumps and motions are good i’ll probably make the team but i’m an incoming high school freshman and it has always been my dream to be a hs cheerleader so wish me luck i’ll update this after tryouts

My mom does not even Like when I do back bends even though it does not hurt at all I can touch my hand to the back of my ankles without it hurting I am in bed right now and tomorrow I am getting the spare mattress from my sisters room who left for collage and doing this but skipping some steps cuz I feel like I can do it but I needed something springy to do it on and I did not think of a mattress tonight I got up and did the prep but swung into a back bend without hesitating so I think I will get it tomorrow I am excited

Second, the equipments you used are easy to find around the house which is good for beginnners. Third, what I really liked on your video is that you demonstrated the progression of the starter backspring to the full backspring. This helps beginners on how to get use to jumping backwards and blindside. Bravo bravo! 👍👍
OOF I recommend keeping your legs apart if you countine to have that problem, Just for the drill you can keep them together (or not if your just doing it for fun) 😬 I have done that on front tucks That Hurts
I can do it amazingly on the trampoline and I was so close to doing it on the ground but then I hurt my wrist and I always have mental blocks now I still do it on trampoline, and do backwalkovers on the ground
If you can do a back walk, you can do anything. For people who are really unflexible, I suggest even doing the smallest steps possible- get your head over for 10 secs, do it repetitively everyday, until you get really flexible.

It's not easy to land front handspring but it's easy to attempt it. Back handspring is hard to attempt but sometimes easy to land.
