Quickly turning into one of my favorite automotive channels. You clearly show what you’re doing, how you’re doing, and without a lot of fluff and filler. Quality content! 🙏
Honestly, man! Your attention to detail and great patience makes your projects turn out amazing! I know you say the CRX is far from perfect, but I can say it is probably in better condition than when it rolled off the assembly line. Such amazing attention to detail!
Not sure how this popped on my feed but somehow they figured out that back in the day I had CRX's ( late 80's early 90's ) and I am currently jonesing on these lovely rides. Great work and super resourceful. Keep up the excellent work. 👌🏼
Mr. Seth, great channel and video, just found this, just bought a JDM ZC (not all ZC cars came with this hood...it's confusing...) and am learning. Your channel really helped! Thanks.
That thing is fantastic!!! I've wanted one of these for years. Me personally have only seen 1. You did an excellent job. We don't get rare parts in Ohio unless you want to pay double
That gloss is top notch 👍 Well done! I'd recommend you seal the paint with ceramic coating or at least a couple coats of high quality wax to lock in that shine 👌
If you see rotary trails after buffing it’s good to use a da polisher medium pad and then step down with a polish pad for best paint correction results.
Your work and demonstration is awesome! Always look forward to your uploads. Question: you took several steps of fine sanding to remove the imperfections on the clear coat. Now what happen if the imperfections were on base coat? How would that situation play out on your technique?
@@crxseth yeah I have, and I tell you I regret selling my Toda built engine 89-SiR 7 years back. But I'm in Australia so SiRs are more common here thanks to our old import laws.
@@crxseth No doubt. Its kinda sad but not surprising. I owned a CRX back in 2003, and bought an SiR front end for less than 1,000.00 back then. I haven't looked at prices on them today but can only imagine. Looking forward to future videos!
HF has smaller front brakes and hubs, no sunroof, less nicer features like the seats, rear plastics, etc. But if you’re modding, it can be done with either.
Excellent work! By the way, I have an 89 CRX just over in East Prairie MO, like 45 min away from Paducah. Is there any possibility that you could help me restore the car? I would be extremely greatful if you could at least point me in the right direction. Thank you sir.
I did have hoodies and t shirts with CRXSETH like you see in my videos but I am out right now. I’m trying to work on a design. What would you be interested in?
Great work, Seth! Love how you break this down to show the process & show that it can be done without any crazy expensive tools.
Thanks! That’s just a product of being too cheap to buy the good stuff! Haha.
Dayum! bustin out the new old stock!!
Ain’t nothing like ripping open a brand new 30-year-old package.

Your work ethic is great man! We appreciate all the videos and knowledge you can pass on to the next generation.
Your videos ALWAYS leave me satisfied! End result is out of this world bro, looks really good!!

I’d love to own an actual EF7 one day.

I got lucky with this one. Found an entire CRX for sale with this hood on it for $600!
Never knew those black crx had so much metallic in there. good job saving that hood.
That gloss is top notch 👍 Well done! I'd recommend you seal the paint with ceramic coating or at least a couple coats of high quality wax to lock in that shine 👌
Build a set of rails of wood from the ceiling and just bubble wrap the hood up there and keep it. Always nice to have options 🤷🏼♂️

Seth your REX looks awesome! Nice job on the ZC hood.
love your OEM+ style man! super inspiring for us honda guys
Thanks!
Awesome work man. The hood turned out great!
Thanks!
It’s so beautiful! 🥲 and your editing skills are on point. I hope to be that good one day!
Thank you! Just practice and always try to do better! I have a ton to learn!
Amazing!! I can't see such a beautiful CR-X in Japan..
Nice Seth. Cleanest CRX on the tube !
Awesome work as always man, enjoy the holidays
Just recently found your channel... Love your content.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Your work and demonstration is awesome! Always look forward to your uploads. Question: you took several steps of fine sanding to remove the imperfections on the clear coat. Now what happen if the imperfections were on base coat? How would that situation play out on your technique?
I would have to sand the base coat with 600-800 and redo the base coat and clear coat.
Keep up the good work, Seth!
Hey Seth! Where did you find new bolts to replace old ones in engine bay?
www.restotuner.com
Zc hood. Shudders at the thought of those.
SiR hood all the way.
But that requires the entire JDM front. And have you seen the price of those bumper lights lately?!
@@crxseth yeah I have, and I tell you I regret selling my Toda built engine 89-SiR 7 years back.

Wow that came out mint! Great work!
Looks good. Any reason why you stuck with a USDM front end?
JDM fronts cost a lot and are not easy to find. Also, there is nothing wrong with this front end that would necessitate changing it.

From a modding perspective is there a major difference in picking up a HF vs SI model?
HF has smaller front brakes and hubs, no sunroof, less nicer features like the seats, rear plastics, etc. But if you’re modding, it can be done with either.
@@crxseth just realized there's DX too, right? Some of those features missing on hf I'd def want.
Your a true artist excellent job.
Wow I love what you've done with your ZC! I have an '89...where do you source your parts? Thanks
lol Nevermind, i found the links Thx
I think you should try and polish your front windshield or replace it ?
I know. It’s all scratched up. I know polishing glass is very arduous, so I’ll probably have to get a new windshield at some point.
Very inspiring Seth!
How much does a hood like that go for? And is that a direct replacement for a 89 crx hood
Anywhere from $600-1500. Yes, it’s a direct replacement for the 89 CRX hood.
Great work my dude
Good job man love your videos
Looking good man. Keep them coming
Thanks!
bro you are so good at restoration. do you work for a body shop?
Thanks, but I have a lot to learn! No, I just do this in my spare time.
Awsome work like always! I wish i didnt had to work this past Sat 😓
Thanks! I think I’m going to schedule another for mid-December.
Gorgeous absolutely

Unfortunately I barely have time to work on my cars, so I can’t offer help on other people’s cars as of now. I can offer advice, if needed, however.
@@crxseth could you recommend a shop or mechanic that specializes in old Hondas?
Wow looks amazing
Bravo young man.very nice.👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
So why a zc hood with b-series?
Just for appearance.
Wowww!!👏👏👏
Got a siebon ZC hood that needs this same treatment...
Send it my way and I’ll fix it and keep it. ;)
@@crxseth yea, for a pretty penny too lol! Bought this like 10 years ago for roughly 400. Now you cant even find them.
