I own a black 1992 chevy camaro z28 with a 500hp sbc, and I just purchased a back 1988 crx si not too long ago. Both are projects. They're both my dream cars, and finally, I own them!!!! I can't wait to finish both to relive my childhood fantasy of driving both!
I had this car back in the day! 88 CRX Si. What a ride. Manual steering, excellent steering, insane cargo in the back... it was black too... loved the sunroof! This was 23 years ago..lol.. glad to see people still keeping them alive... You'll laugh at what I paid for it rust free, 88k miles... $325 cash... this was around the year 2000 😆

I paid 800 for my 88 si 200k miles on it back in 2001. I put a ZC DOHC engine it it. Man I loved that car. Wish I still had it.

I was SO upset that I didn't make it this year. On the way up, about halfway there, my car decided it was going to lose oil pressure and spun a rod bearing. I was wanting to do an engine build, but didn't want to be doing one this soon....lol

The first 40 seconds of this video is the exact reason I stopped building Hondas back in the day. Got so tired of always carrying tools around in case anything went wrong in a car with a different motor and parts from 4 different vehicles bolted to it but now as a man with a good job and a house with a driveway and multiple newer reliable vehicles I have the itch again.
You inspire me. I'm gonna work on my CRX tomorrow starting with something. All my parts are all over the place prepping for paint job. It takes alot of time but your videos help man. Thanks man

I road the Dragon on my 'Honda 750' back in the mid 2000's with a couple friends. We had an awesome time! Making plans with my son to bring our 93 Honda Civic Si Hatch to this meet next year. We'll be like kids in a candy shop. Road Trip from Toronto, Ontario, Canada...can't wait! Great video and thank you for posting!!

Nice video Seth. At 7:50, the red Honda with the "Hondasport" banner is OG ! That was my friend's company based out of Sacramento California (NorCal) waaaaay back in in 94-95.
I still have a hondasport wing on my 95 coupe. I bought the wing in October 1997.

@@Insight2.0l : Nice !! I bought one of their first carbon fiber over lay for my front dash panel. The carbon cover cover the whole panel including the rounded edges. It was pretty sweet during that time. Also got my first set of front clear signal housing units from there.
Had the CRX si back in 1989 I think or maybe it was a 90 loved that car drove it from NJ to FL like 3 times. Had to trade in in for Hyndai Scoupe when I had kids

That almond cream wagon was clean. Those 2 y49 yellow Barbados were nice and that Toyota van was dope. All those JDM wheels crazy mint. I would love to experience this on time.

Remember that period around 2016 where Hondas got a bad rep, and "Ricer" was thrown around on the daily? So glad that's over. Hondas made from 88-2000 were just peak automobile to me and the styling engineering and simplicity make them my favorite things on the road.

I love CRX. Always wanted one. Probably should have gotten one instead of the RX-7 TII that I had. But the RX-7 still worked reliably for as long as I had it, so it worked out ok

Not supposed to be in the grass at the Dam. Our Miata group used to have group photos there but it got shut down for whatever reason. Awesome video!
I saw the sign, but the sheer number of cars that showed up made it a little hard for people to stay off the grass. Luckily, I got there early and got a spot to park.

I only shot video of a small percentage of all the cars that showed up. It was huge.
So a beautiful car. ♥♥♥ My sister had a red CRX Si which I borrowed to use as a spare for my bike over the winter. The partition to the trunk was covered with red leather and two large boxes were installed. There was an extremely large power amplifier in the trunk, which was factory-fitted with a transparent housing. The car radio was from Blaupunkt with a red control panel. I myself had dyed my hair white and wore a bomber jacket. Yeah, that was all before the Fast & Furious movies with Vin Diesel, where we were young, fast, and horny. For me, this model was the best Honda car. A few years later my sister sold the red Honda. However, after a while she missed the red Honda. A little later she bought another CRX, which was black in color like in the video.
